Like the southwest look? Here is the perfect little bag to carry just a few things in with a cute southwest look. The colors of this bag, measuring 6 inches by 6 inches, are brown, tan and blue. The unlined bag seams have been finished off with nice clean French seams and feathers have been used to encircle the bag. The bag is held closed with a button made of leather or cork that has been tied in place with threads of the same coloration as the yarn used to make the 51 inch handle. The strap on this bag is long enough to wear across the chest. The same thread and an elastic loop were used to hold the button closed and a bead and feathers were used to decorate the ends.

You will be ready for stepping out with this pretty bag with its oriental flare. It is made of a royal blue Chinese Brocade with baby blue and silver bamboo leaves. The ruffle made of a variegated blue with a silver thread running though it hides the zipper closure. The zipper pull on this, 6 inch tall by 11 inch wide bag, is a made for this bag tassel of royal blue, light blue and silver floss. The handles are made of a silver braid with a couple of different textures and measure 23 inches in length, just a nice size for hanging on the shoulder or on the arm. The lining is a light blue satin and has inside pockets for small items. The bottom is stiff to hold its shape while caring it and also give the bag its round bottom shape. This bag is one of a limited edition.

What a dainty little bag for that special day made of satin taffeta that measures seven inches wide by 4 ½ inches high. The bag is trimmed in beads with a spaghetti handle made of the same material as the bag and lining. The inside is lined with the same material as outside and includes a pocket held closed with hook and loop tape to keep change or any small items that you don't want to loose in place. A magnet snap was used to keep the bag closed. The initals are about 3/4" high and the three of them are about 3" wide.

What a nice bag for any day! The bottom of this versatile bag is made from a black pin wale corduroy material and the top print fabric is a cotton drapery material. The top of bag is 12” wide, bottom of bag is 14” wide, and it is 11” high. The straps made from a sturdy trim has leather X’s on them and are 25 ½” long. The cream colored muslin lining with 3 patch pockets inside is quilted and a black zipper with a black tassel zipper pull was used for a closure. You will enjoy the roominess of this one! This is a one of a kind bag and can be bought with or without the rose.

I just love this very high quality tapestry material with the pandas. The bag is trimmed in the more muted side of this solid celery green iridescent drapery material. The iridescent side of the material was used to line the inside of this bag measuring 9 inches wide at the bottom, 14 inches wide at the top, 4 inches in depth and standing 9 inches tall at the highest point.

The features of this bag are the attached inter zipped pocket for security, round wooden handles, stress points have been double and triple stitched and a nice solid bottom was used. This bag will hold its pretty shape because of its construction.

This is the perfect name for this intriguing black Chinese brocade bag with bold magenta colored flowers and rust colored leaves. The bottom of the 9” high by 12” wide bag is made of a brown satin looking crinkle material and for added interest are brown and gold beads in a zigzag pattern. The inside is a quilted magenta color that is held closed with a magnet snap. The black plastic handles finish off this attractive bag.

Incidentally the purse has been secured to the handle so that it will not easily come off. You can take it off if you want to but you will not have to worry about it falling off the handle when you set it down. You will be happy with this purse. I have one designed with a different material and I don’t have trouble with it and I get a lot of complement on it.

Get ready for Christmas with this attractively decorated Poinsettia bag. The bag, measuring 8” high by 12 ½” wide has an opening of 7” by 8 ½” in length and can be carried on the shoulder. The cuddly soft velvet on the outside is a dark hunter green that almost looks black in color. Bag feet have been included to keep this special bag looking nice.

Poinsettias were brought here from Mexico and they can come in red, white, pink and yellow. They however are not the flower part of the plant at all but rather the leaves. The center has the flowering part of the plant. The poinsettia leaves on this bag are made from a red Christmas cotton material and the center flowers are made from beads.

The inside is a Christmas looking material of red, green, and gold stripe complete with a pocket and is held closed with a magnetic snap. The handle is a continuation of the main body of the purse and is tied in a knot at the top which gives the purse that finishing touch. No it will not come untied. I have had many bags made this same way with all kinds of material and have never had any trouble with it coming untied.

The inside is lined in a red, green and gold striped material and includes two pockets on one side and one pocket on the other side to finish off the inside. Party Girl is a very pretty, handmade, one of a kind bag that would look great no matter what the occasion.

This burgundy colored bag measures 11-1/2” diameter when laying flat across top, when closed bag is about 8” across and about 10” tall and about 12-1/2” tall from top of bag to bottom of beads. Straps about 18” in length, long enough to fit on wrist or arm, and made of a green and burgundy twist. Strap twists have been crimped with a silver color crimp and ends have been frayed for a nice finish.

Pink and white beads have been used to hang off the bottom of bag in a very pleasing pattern. This is going to be a very attractive bag for the upcoming WINTER and the holiday season and yet is not limited to just the holidays. How about Valentines Day?

There is nothing prettier than a nice soft snow on a beautiful bright moonlit night. Seeing the snow quietly falling to Earth covering the ground and trees with a blanket of white. These were my thoughts that I wanted to convey through my design of this bag. Hope you enjoy, Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

The outside of this beautiful bag for the winter is a navy Micro Suede with the look and feel of real suede leather. I started off by machine embroidering a few snowflakes here and there front and back. Then, I tacked on the crochet snowflakes, which I also made. The snowflakes were tacked on with seed beads to give them just a little bit of glitz. Next were a few more seed beads sprinkled here and there on the front of the bag for just a little something extra. The finishing touch was the application of the hairy gimp trim that encircles the this one of a kind wintertime bag.

The straps were made with the same fabric as the bag itself into tubes with cotton piping inserted inside. The bag has a facing of the same material as the outside and the inside lining is of a navy cotton print. The bag includes one inside pocket made of the Micro Suede and this item is held closed with a magnetic snap for a bit of privacy. Last but not least we must not forget the bag feet to keep the bottom from getting dirty when setting it down. Much time and expense went into this one, and is a real steal at $69!

All you need is a nice packing snow and the kids are out there trying to get a snowman made. Who doesn't remember building a snowman as a child? No matter what kind of gloves I wore I always managed to get my hands freezing cold and wet. Oh yes! There is nothing like red, freezing, cold, wet hands.

Well, now you can carry your snowman with you. Seed beads and buttons have been used to define your snowman, and the rest of the bag was finished in a velvety soft material in hunter green. The lining was done in a hunter green jacquard with a holly tone on tone design and includes one pocket. The bag is held closed with a heavy duty zipper, and a white trim that looks like ice crystals encircles the entire top of the bag. Much time and expense went into this one, and is a real steal at $69!

Wear the binding up for one look or turn the binding down for a whole new look. This purse measures 8 inches across from side seam to side seam and is about 7 inches tall with the binding turned down or about 8 ½ inches tall with the binding up. The gold strap that is long enough to wear across the chest if you like is 53 inches long. The bag has been lined in a cream colored satin and it has batting to give it some stability so that it doesn’t look saggy. Green and gold beads have been added to edging for a nice extra added touch. To keep the bag closed a magnetic snap has been sewn to the inside. This would be a great purse for anytime of the year and would be such a pretty color for the Christmas holidays.

This bag is just a little smaller than the regular Little V bag it measures about 6 inches across and about 5 ½ inches down to the tip of the V shape. This would be a nice bag for the fall with the pretty fall colors of green, rust, and a golden hue. It is lined with a floral material with the greens, tans and gold. The green twist strap of 38 inches could be worn across the chest or on the shoulder. The tassel is a made for this bag tassel of greens and gold and the head of the tassel has been done in a blanket stitch and rust colored seed beads have been added along with a wooden bead above that. Then to keep the bag closed a decorative hook and eye has been sewn on for that finished look.

Wouldn’t this make a stunning bag for that special event you have planned? A great bag to carry across the chest or on your shoulder is this hot pink Chinese brocade. This is just a small bag for a few things that is lined in a khaki baby gabardine. The purse was bound in a bias binding of the wrong side of the Chinese brocade to add contrast to the bag in a very attractive way. A very narrow bias tube was used for the closure to the purse and a gold thread was used to tie the two sides of the tube together to form a loop to pass over the button. The button is actually two buttons, one a dark green and the other a gold that were sewn onto the bag and then glued to hold them still and keep them looking nice. The handle to the bag is a glitzy gold that was securely sewn to the bag with gold thread then the ends were frayed to give it a finished look. If you would rather have a clutch purse than a long handled purse like this, it can be changed by this easy process. Use very sharply pointed scissors and VERY CAREFULLY snip the gold threads holding the handle on and you will then have a clutch purse. Please make sure that you cut on the outside of the handle and stay as far away from the purse as possible to keep from snagging the material or cutting the purse. I am sure you will enjoy this lovely, one of a kind, quality handmade little bag now and for many years to come.

A red, green and yellow plaid, just right for everyday, is trimmed in with a green decorative trim that matches beautifully with the green in the bag. You will find that this is really the only way to go. With the 5 ½ inch by 9 ½ inch bag with a nice long strap that is long enough for wearing across the chest to keep both hands free to do other things. The bag is unlined and is held closed with hook and loop tape. The braided tan strap has been knotted on the ends and then securely fastened and finally green seed bead were stitched on here and there for a little added touch. Colors of Fall

The Colors of Fall what marvelous colors! Every year our family tried to take a ride to the mountains to “see the leaves.” That’s what we called our little day trip. We just had to see nature’s patchwork of colors. You could find reds that went from a dark red to something that looked like a salmon color to rust. Then there were other trees that had the gold color. Some of the leaves would have many colors on one leaf, while others still had the touches of green to them. They are beautiful to see every year and to hear the rustling sound as you walk though the fallen ones.

I hope you enjoy the bag that I designed to celebrate the changes in the weather. This would be a great bag to carry for the fall season. And wouldn't it be nice for Thanksgiving? I just love the colors of this one! The bag is made from a “baby” gabardine in a khaki color and the leaves, each done differently, are made from a home decorator material. As I said each leaf is made differently one is an appliqué, another is a reverse appliqué, and the third is reverse embroidery.

A nice casual bag for everyday is this bag with a leaf pattern. It is just a very comfy bag to carry with lots of room inside and even more room in the large pocket on the outside. The outside pocket even has a small pocket for cell and/or keys. The lining on this, nine and a half inch high by eleven inch wide, bag is a tan cotton material with a small pocket on the inside, also. The purse is held closed with Velcro along the top of the main bag and a small piece of Velcro was used to hold the big outside pocket closed. This unusual conservative looking corduroy is versatile enough for day or evening wear and will be able to take you from fall right into winter. The zipper closure on this bag, measuring about 6” high by 15” wide, has a pretty little angel for a zipper pull. The inside is lined with satin and has lots of room for everything included are pockets for those small items. This would be nice for an evening out, bridesmaids, mother of the bride or groom, for the prom or with jeans for that matter. This little handmade unlined bag, measuring 5 inches high by 7 inches wide, is made of a Chinese Brocade material with flowers in a magenta and sort of a copper colored brown on a black background. The inside seams are finished with French seams to give a nice completed look. The handle is 22 inches long and is filled with cotton tubing. The top is held closed with a button and loop made from the wrong side of the Chinese material. A one inch band was made for the trim out of the wrong side of the material and feathery yarn was added to finish the look off.

Mountains and Valleys

My inspiration, for this bag, is my memories of traveling out west through the Rocky Mountains. This is my interpretation of traveling along the road looking out to the mountain across from you and seeing the road on that mountain, the mountain below you and the valley further below.

The art work that is the center of this bag is the ultimate in scrap recovery. Made entirely from scraps of material, ribbon, threads, floss and what ever else I had left that blended nicely and then decorative stitching was used in a meandering pattern to frame the art work and quilt the rest of the front. No straight lines were used to insert the art work or in the quilting because I wanted it to have the same appearance as the mountains with all their jagged edges.

The bag measures 10 inches wide and 8 inches high and is made of a tobacco colored moleskin material. It is lined with a cotton material of the same color with a tiny white design. A pocket of the moleskin was inserted in the inside and a magnetic snap was used to keep the bag closed. The handles just right for carrying on the arm are about 12 inches in length and are made of black and tan beads with silver tone to the attachment apparatus.

Now here’s a bag with a western flair. Just right for all you cowgirls or just someone that likes a little splash of the western look once in awhile.

At 19 inches wide and 13 inches high makes this bag of earthen tones the perfect size for carrying a laptop, books or use it as a gym tote as well as anything else you need to carry.

The outside is an upholstery material of tans, browns and greens with a maroon yarn couched on in a meandering pattern. It is trimmed and lined with a maroon material that is also used for the inside of the 20 inch long padded straps.

Since the bag is held closed with a button and elastic closure you won't have a problem with your laptop being bothered by any magnets. Gray leather, maroon beads, feathers and two silver Concho were attached to the closure to give it that extra special western look. This is a one of a kind bag.

You will just love the rich color of this one of a kind handmade medium sized bag call Old Southwest. That is exactly what it looks like. A very simple bag for everyday that would be sure to please anyone interested in the western look.

The outside is an upholstery material in shades of pumpkin and tan. The color of the bag reminds me of a pumpkin pie. The other colors on the bag make me think of the spices that are put in the pie as it is being prepared. Then there is the tanish color, it looks like the pie filling when you pour in the milk. Oh my, I can smell a pumpkin pie straight from the oven right now.

The lining is a silky pumpkin pie colored material that has been interfaced and then padding was laid on top. Finally a decorative stitching using a mint green thread quilted all the layers together. The handles were made from a vintage hemp trim with a tan color. This bag is sure to be a hit and being under $30 what more could you ask for.

Bag width about 11 inches across the top, about 6 ½ inches across bottom, has a depth of about 4 inches, and stands about 9 inches high. Handles are about 18 inches long. The handles are long enough to get on the shoulder but would not fit if wearing a coat.

This is a funky bag with its yarn meandering around and knots of yarn and threads hanging here and there for interest. This one measures, twenty-two inches wide by thirteen inches high, and stands up straight by its self because it has been padded. You will be happy with the pleasant stiff bottom to support a load.
