Made by Dansk mid century, 1970s.

Outside measurements are 18" x 13 1/4" Inside dimensions are 11 1/4 X 15 1/2. Height is 1 3/4 inches.

Dansk was originally produced in Denmark, but in the 1970s the company decided it didn't make sense to ship their teak to Europe and then the finished product back to the USA, so they began their South East Asia production at that time. Even back then they were known for harvesting the materials in environmentally friendly ways.

In good vintage condition.

Handmade Scandinavian Style Curio Shelf

$38.00
It is really hard selling vintage pieces that I would like to keep for myself, but sometimes you just have to share.

I can see myself using this handmade, handpainted keepsake shelf as a place to display tiny spring blooms in a little vase, or two or three in my kitchen, or I would hang it next to my door as a place to throw my keys when I walk in the door. It would also look very dramatic with a white porcelain sculpture of a miniature prancing horse or a place to set the scene for a collection of other miniature curiosities.

The colors of the wood and the painting are so warm and vivid. I think the teal used in the stems and flowers is an exceptionally good choice when paired with the cornflower blue of the blooms. I also really like the simple graphics painted on the sides and edges. Brass tacks were used to hold this shelf together. These details all make this keepsake shelf unique!

This piece is in good clean condition, with a few dings here and there that only add to the story of the piece. Unmarked except for a "D" stamped into the bottom (right hand side in picture)

Measurements are 12 1/2 inches tall from top to bottom, 4 3/4 inches at the deepest point of the slightly curved shelf and 7 1/4 inches wide from edge to edge.

They may have been decorated with china paint at a later date.

This mark dates the plates from 1904-1938.

They are finished with an orange overglaze, lined with a pencil thin black outline and the same black line on the rim. Everything is finished with a mother of peal luster.

These plates have some wear to the decoration. One plate is crazed badly on the bottom. The other is in pretty good shape.

They would look great hanging on your wall with your other modern decor.

$25.00
My old pottery studio/gallery was housed in the town's historic grocery store, an old cream city brick building on Main Street. There was various memorabilia floating around from the grocery store days. These glass signs were some of the more intriguing.

Two of them say "dairy products" ... Painted in steel blue and white on the back of the glass so it can be read from the other side. These are in good condition with a few scratches. The other two are in really bad shape, but the ghost letters spelling out "serve yourself" were still interesting to my artist's mind.

I will include all 4 of them in this listing, but only charge for the two dairy signs.

All of them measure 15 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide.

Some wear and scratches on the outside. Nothing major.

2 inches tall 3 1/4 inches wide

Marked on the bottom in backwards relief
424
T.M. REG
Fire King
2 5
Made in USA
6 oz

The backwards marking means that a mold meant for clear glass was used to produce this piece, as with a clear item, the writing would be read looking through the inside bottom.

There are 3 with a black and gold harlequin or arrow pattern and 5 with white and gold abstract leaf patterns. There is also a double shot in a matching harlequin pattern.

I am selling these along with a faux wood grain tray and a cocktail set which included cocktail napkins, coasters, and little mint trays all in a coordinating black and gold fleur de lei pattern.

The tray is made of press board or other composite material, and has some damage to the black finish on the bottom, but it is in very good condition on the visible surfaces.

The white and gold glasses have the most wear to the decorations, but are still in nice condition.

The napkin cocktail set is in good unused condition.

The large glasses hold about 6 oz. Measurements are 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide.

Pair of Silver and Glass Compotes by Amston 540

They would also look elegant filled with decorative soaps in your bathroom.

The glass bowls detach from the bases, increasing the versatility for the pieces, as they can now be used for silver taper candle holders.

The 6 inch glass bowls have a delicately scalloped rim. The re-enforced silver bases have simple scroll details. Assembled, they are 5 inches tall.

I have left the bases unpolished as I found them. They can be cleaned up with little effort, but I never touch the finish on any vintage pieces before I sell them.

Rare to find a matched pair!

UPDATE: I discovered a crack in one of the glass bowls, so I marked this set down over 50%. The cracked bowl should hold up for decorative use. The sterling candlestick pair is still in great shape!

Iron Candle Holder - Pillar or Taper

The pillar side can also be used to hold a small bowl for serving on a buffet. This piece is from the 1950s if not earlier, as it has been in my family at least that long.

Identifying marks on one side say "iron art JM12 U4" and "iron art JM12 U2" on the other side. There are some other identifying marks that I can not make out.

Condition is good with some wax residue (could be cleaned off) some rust on the very center of the pillar side and some paint worn away on the inside of the taper holder. With candles in place, none of those flaws would be visible.

Measurements are 4 1/4 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide. The taper side would hold about a 1 inch candle. The pillar side could hold up to about a 3 1/2 inch candle.

Some say the Rhapsody pattern was produced between 1924-1951, but the mark on the back of this plate is one used pre-1921.

George Jones operated the Trent Potteries in Stoke-upon-Trent in England (renamed "Crescent Potteries" in c.1907)

This is a square plate with scalloped corners, rimmed in a hand painted black boarder. The white relief rim is decorated with a delicate floral and fern pattern. The center circle shows a fantasy mountain scene with travelers crossing a bridge into a magical looking village.

This plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, only crazing with no stains. The plate measures 8 1/2 inches across.
