i made this pendant to commemorate the gannet bird! a gannet does look like a lot like an ordinary seagull, but its a really big bird. the gannet has extra padding so it doesnt hurt itself when it dives from on high into the salt water for a bite of fish. i kiln fire enameled this 3" wide gannet bird pendant in clear copper over-layed with white: stunning! she hangs on a solitary wing from a black satin cord that can be adjusted from choker length to a longer necklace. the ends of the cord have been wire-wrapped in sterling to prevent slippage. i love the gannet!

inspired by the mother country, the yellow and orange enamel mini shield pendant wards off evil spirits. the enamel shield pendant is set in a sterling silver bezel oxidized to black. each 1.5" x .5" x .5" enamel mini shield pendant hangs from an adjustable 16"-18" oxidized sterling silver snake chain with a sterling clasp i made to mimic each shield pendants' individual design. i fabricate my own dies and press the copper sheets into the shield shaped forms with my 20 ton hydraulic press. after enameling each piece with brilliant colors, i set them into a custom oxidized sterling silver bezel setting. shown above in the thumbnails are the wrapped blue and turquoise mini enamel shield pendant, the lavender and pink enamel mini shield pendant, the orange and red enamel mini shield pendant, and the blue and grape mini enamel shield pendant,
