Altered Photograph- Blue Fish

$15.00
Altered photograph of a fish, the photo was taken by me in the aquarium at the Detroit Zoo a few years ago. Altering photos can be a rewarding yet unpredictable artform!

Photo is altered using scratch tools including an awl and even sandpaper/metal scrubbers, household cleaning products (which is why they are in my studio and not in the cleaning cupboard)...

Photo is mounted on a 6"x9" piece of watercolor paper, which has been further colored using watercolor crayons, markers and pencils...

Unique and always One of a Kind, this is original artwork NOT a print!

She Wore a Blue Butterfly Assemblage

$25.00
Created using a recycled piece of an old picket fence.

A few years ago, my dad built me a garden bench using the wood from an old picket fence that a friend had given me. I kept all the pickets he cut off (to make the seat) just knowing I would 'need' them for something cool one day!

The blue butterfly is a handsawn copper butterfly that I applied a patina to.
It is layered over a collage image photo and a piece of laser printed transparency.
The transparency image is from a handwritten geometry journal from 1811 (incidently the photos are taken on that same journals open pages)...

Assemblage is approximately 9" high, 2.5" wide and 1" thick. There is a sawtooth hanger attached to the back or it would also work well sitting on a shelf.

One of a Kind...as always!

Look for other versions of the picket fence assemblages to come...while the quantity of pickets hold out!

Custom Optical Lens Necklace

$38.00
I'd love to create a necklace just for you, featuring the portrait of you or a loved one. Each necklace is unique, created from a vintage opticians lens and hung from a sterling silver chain.

After purchasing, I will send you an email with further information and questions regarding your choice of chain finish (shiny or oxidized), chain length and foiled finishes for the back of the necklace (copper, multicolored or silver).

I will also require a high resolution scan of the photograph you wish me to use. I will then resize and enhance/correct the photograph and send you an example before I actually attach it to the optical lens. A final photo is emailed to you for approval just before I send it off to you in the mail!

A lovely way to honor a loved one and the perfect gift...

*optical lenses are all vintage and will vary slightly in wear, it adds to the beauty of this item.
