My Sand Dollar tote is now in corn flower blue, a really pretty shade that reminds me of the flowers.

While inspired by the sea, I usually start with ideas and sketches then create a textile print and burn large screens to print the entire tote at once. Each has small print of sand dollars on the inside facing and identification as a Willywaw Handprint on the bottom. I do not print yard goods so each tote and pattern is unique to the size and shape of the bag.

This is silkscreened on pre-shrunk 100% organic cotton canvas that is grown and milled in the United States. I use water based textile inks that have low toxicity, a wonderful hand and transparent colors.

Straps are made from 1 inch hemp webbing, which is quite durable, and tote measures approximately 18" wide x 11" high x 5" deep. Straps are 26 inches long, over the shoulder length. French seams, no exposed edges

Slightly brighter ink color reprinted on this design. It's sort of a brighter, lighter shade of olive than my original. A hidden seahorse lingers in a seaweed forest on this print.

I'm super happy with this latest shade of light lemongrass on my Seaweed print, it's a touch lighter and brighter than my original. It's not quite yellow and it's not quite green but an unusual color that will be sure to stand out.

I love to snorkel at the mouth of the Narrow River and there is always copious amounts of seaweed to draw on for inspiration. My favorite design, called Mermaid's Purses (which are the egg casings of skates and sharks), is now in a two color print. I hand screened a light shade of Sea Spray (pale, greenish shade of aqua) and Nut Brown just in time for fall and a change of season.

Humpback Whale Print

Majestic Humpback Whales sing to each other throughout the world's oceans. Known for their acrobatics, these whales love to breach, slap their flippers and swim on their backs. About 30-35% of the original population is believed to be present at this time. The International Whaling Commission gave them worldwide protection in 1966.

This is an archival print on 100% cotton rag, acid free, Velvet Fine Art Paper of my original watercolor and pencil painting. The painting was created by first staining the paper with coffee over a period of days. I then drew the whale in a quick, fluid manner and applied loose watercolor washes.

The print is signed and includes the genus and species of this graceful marine mammal. The print measures approximately 8 x 10 inches and comes with 12 x 16 inch white matt.
