Poppy Ring

::Poppy Ring::

A bright red poppy flower is affixed to a silvertone adjustable ring. The poppy measures approx. .75" across and sits up about .25" from the ring base. It is adhered to the ring base utilizing industrial strength epoxy. The size of this adjustable ring starts at approx. a size 5 and can be stretched to a size 7 at most. This little poppy ring is one of my earliest designs and is still one of my favorites!

✩Note✩
These poppies are adhered to their metal base utilizing E6000 industrial strength epoxy. I have stress tested the joinery on these little rings by actually throwing a sample ring as hard as I could (repeatedly) on a wood floor, and wacking it against a hard surface. It was good stress relief, ha ha! ;) However, I would still recommend that care is taken while wearing these as the flower sits high on it's setting. Thanks!

Vintage Style Typewriter Necklace

I love old typewriters so when I found these tiny, solid brass, gold plated miniatures I did my happy dance! For the necklace, I have secured a bail on the back of the typewriter with industrial strength epoxy, and suspended it from a goldtone cable chain with a black Czech glass blossom as pretty accent. The overall length is a longer 21.5" (approx.) I think this would make a wonderful gift for the writer who needs a little nudging to finish their Great American Novel. ;)

Things you should know:
*This typewriter is solid brass and therefore has some weight to it!
*The little paper has very tiny writing on it; my eyes are not the best, but it looks to me like passages from the King James Bible. (This is different than the typewriter shown in the main picture which has since sold and had excerpts from the dictionary).
* The paper is attached to the drum (which does not move). Each typewriter varies slightly as far as the placement of the paper.
*The keys are a decal.
*I also have the glass flower in white, if you're interested...

Antiqued silverplate filigrees in a detailed floral design are combined with sparkly faceted glass jewels in silverplate crown settings. These are seriously romantic earrings reminiscent of an opulent era. The jewels measure approx. 15mm. Overall length is approx. 2.75"

Please note: the backs of these setting are open, allowing for a peek of the backs of the jewels which are gold foiled. This may not be a bother to some, but to others who do not like to see gold tones and silver tones mingle in any way, I felt it important to mention! :)

I actually gasped when I saw these rings! They are vintage and absolutely gorgeous, detailed, fierce little owls with rhinestone accents. Part glamour, part kitsch, and very unusual. The ring is adjustable, antiqued gold plated. There is also a lovely bit of design along the shank; it's all in the details!

**This ring is adjustable and starts off at about a 7. The manufacturer that made these is no longer in business.

I couldn't resist these lockets made from antique glass and sterling silver with a graceful scalloped edge. They are even more lovely in person! Each locket features a swiveling bail allowing you to view either side.

✩I can think of a million and one uses for these lockets: to carry special mementos, bits of an old map, a lucky coin (can hold up to the thickness of a dime), a lock of a baby's hair, love note, tiny drawing....you get the picture! They also make lovely gifts for bridesmaids; simply add a chain or a ribbon coordinated to your wedding colors. (Please message me if you need multiples.)

✩These lockets were handcrafted in Mexico and are stamped as such along with 925 to indicate they are sterling silver.

✩Please note the glass has a very slight greenish tint and no two are exactly alike (which I think just adds to their charm.) Locket measures 27 x 22mm and has a tiny screw at the top for opening.

*Image includes a white border suitable for framing. Signed discreetly by the artist..that's me! :)

*Prints are wrapped in a cello sleeve and shipped in a sturdy photo mailer along with a cardboard backing to prevent bending. They are shipped separately from any jewelry items from my shop.

A vintage German glass jewel in an oxidized brass setting perches on an oxidized brass adjustable ring. The 12mm glass jewels were made in West Germany in the late 1950's. They are not perfect, but considering their age, they are in lovely condition.

A sparkling rhinestone heart is the perfect glam accessory for Valentine's Day, or any other time you need a sparkly pick-me-up! These are gold foiled backed and hand set in raw brass crown settings. They are quite large measuring approx. .75" across.

*Bobby pin is 18K gold plated, and measures approx. 2.75" in length. Brass setting has been adhered to it's tip with industrial strength epoxy. These bobby pins are quite substantial...not at all flimsy!

They are also slightly curved. If you have the kind of hair that bobby pins normally slide out of, these might be a better fit for you as they have a tighter grip. Estate-style jewels in a hue much like ash and smoke dangle from antiqued bronze leverback earwires. These 14/10 mm faceted glass stones are set in hand-oxidized brass settings. Ruby red faceted glass jewels are hand set in brass settings and are connected by etched brass links. The bracelet is then connected to a plated brass cable chain. This is my favorite chain! Lightweight, yet sturdy, and the links are soldered closed for extra security. The entire bracelet then closes with a solid brass toggle clasp (easy to get on without help!) The jewels measure 12 x 10 mm. The overall length is approx. 8"

*Please note: these jewels and many of the brass components are of vintage stock. I prefer to leave the patina on the metal as-is, because I think it lends to the beauty of the piece. Please allow for subtle variations. :)

Of all my "Estate Earrings," these are truly one of my most unusual colorings. What can only be described as a enigmatic combination of graphite and ruby, these vintage glass jewels appear to be several different shades depending on where the light strikes them. Because of the random nature of the coloring in each jewel, no two are exactly the same.

Details: Each jewel had their gold foiled backs carefully removed by me so that they are translucent and allow the light to pass through. Each are then hand set in silverplate prong settings and swing from feminine elongated silverplate earwires. Total length approx. 2"

Rare Sabrina-green opal glass navettes are set in silverplate settings and hang from silverplated leverback earwires. The color is so refreshing...it reminds me of a mint mojito!

**These 15/7 mm navettes were made in Germany in the 1950's. They are in lovely condition.

A rose pink faceted glass jewel in a raw brass setting perches on a gold-toned adjustable ring. Glass jewel measures 18 mm and has small, almost imperceptible flaws. It sits high in it's setting for extra bling!
