$18.00
These lovely lotuses are cut from beautifully gained lightweight bamboo. I really love seeing my designs in the bamboo - I also love that the material is 100% renewable. The earrings are finished off with handmade 22 gauge sterling silver hooks and are 3 cm or 1.25 inches in length.

The last photo shows a comparison of the bamboo version next to the black acrylic version, also available.
Love Returns Haircomb

$24.00
This comb features a split tailed swallow holding a stylized olive branch. This comb is purely for decoration and needs good support in the hair. It is 5.5 inches in length total, 2.5" in teeth, and 2.5" wide at the top. It is made of black acrylic.

This piece was inspired by Victorian design, which was influenced by their love of the outdoors and nature, and ancient culture. Archaeological events of the time influenced design in interesting ways. In 1873, not even half way through the Victorian period, Heinrich Schliemann found the lost city of Troy, which caused a craze for all designs that were Ancient Greek. The Ancient Greeks associated the swallow in the Goddess Aphrodite (love and beauty). Also in this ancient culture, olive wreaths were worn by brides and of course they symbolize peace.

This comb really is meant to be more fun than functional. It's designed as a smaller version of the Spanish Mantilla comb or peintas, (which was a popular style for the Victorians c.1880) Here are some good informational guides if you are interested -

http://reviews.ebay.com/Spanish-Mantilla-Combs-Peineta-Part-I_W0QQugidZ10000000004253051
http://reviews.ebay.com/Spanish-Mantilla-Combs-Peineta-Part-2_W0QQugidZ10000000004669481
http://reviews.ebay.com/Victorian-Combs-and-Hair-Accessories-1860-70_W0QQugidZ10000000006984856

So, what I suggest is partially do up the hair, then insert the comb, then secure the hair around it to hold.
To get technical, the form is actually an "et-ligature" where the e and t are stuck together. This necklace shows my own variation of the Garmond's italic ampersand. (I love Garmond!)

Laser cut out of black acrylic, the necklace is finished with a delicate long-short. Adjustable 16- 18" - if you need more or less, just let me know!

Hint Ring - Pick your size

$9.00
Hello Washington Post readers! Nice to know my little piece of satire is appreciated... If you didn't come by Post, check out the update for 6.26.2009 in Gene Weingaten's Chatological Humor:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/discussion/2009/06/11/DI2009061101717.html#fri

****

A little bit tongue-in-cheek to be sure, but I couldn't resist. Hint ring is designed to look like the shadow of the traditional diamond solitaire engagement ring - I like to think of it as a place holder of things yet to come. The number on the ring corresponds directly with the size...see where I'm going with this? The ring serves as a cheeky or subtle reminder to your significant other, who maybe doesn't know how to get that ring size!

Or, conversely, significant others can give this ring until a final engagement ring is settled upon.

Currently only whole sizes are available, sizes 4 - 7, and 9 - 11! (size 8 is currently out of stock but can be made upon request) If you need a whole size not listed, please contact me. Also, if you have a significant number or letter you'd rather have in the diamond rather than the size, contact me! Custom orders may take 2-3 weeks to complete.

(Not to be confused it "blonde" by the way...the added "e" makes it feminine! Which not how we like out mustaches to be.) This pin is naturally grained with 100% renewable bamboo, and measures 2.25 inches (or 5.7 cm) wide with a silver toned pin back. Because of the natural materials, please expect slight variations from the pins shown.

This listing is for size 6, but whole sizes are available, size 4 to size 11! If you need a whole size not listed, please contact me. Also, if you have a significant number or letter you'd rather have in the diamond rather than the size, contact me! Custom orders may take 2-3 weeks to complete.
