The beads have an iridescent shine to them all, and the placement of the beads resembles a flower. These are super fun earrings to be enjoyed anytime!

The french hook is surgical steel as well.

.

Life during Death

$25.00
This is a 18 in H X 13.3/4 in W drawing including the illustration board mounting. My art school building back in Athens is located next to a very old cemetary. Often my projects took me there to reflect on making something from seemingly nothing. The sculptures of angels, the various tombstones, all show what the living wanted for the dead. I feel this drawing represents that juxtaposition of life with death. As the tree grows between the sculpture and tombstone, we see live surviving in the midst of our symbols of death.
A dark but uplifting image. It is ready to be framed or just tack to the wall using the edges of the tack and not the point. The size above includes the mat size. The drawing is boardered by an intricate brown art paper with a lively pattern in black printed on it.

This is an original, no copies exist. It is signed by the artist, which is me. The media are charcoal and pencil on heavy watercolor paper.

Castle of Montezuma Tree Framed Original Painting

$115.00
19" X 15.25" including frame.
Acrylic and oil paint mixture on archival illustration board.

I painted this one in 2000 after a trip from the SE to the SW. The many different warm colors of the rock layers and the coexistance of desert and trees inspired me then and on through to today.

The contrast of the dark cool green of the wood frame and the warm and dramatic colors of the background will sit well on almost any wall.

The painting has been professionally framed with non glare glass and is ready to hang upon arrival.

You pay the first 9 dollars of shipping and I will pay the rest (Within the United States) including delviery comfirmation. Outside of the US please email me for shipping, I will still provide a discount on shipping, be sure to contact me.

See www.nps.gov/moca for more info on Montezuma's Castle.

This painting is discounted due to imperfection. There is one very small nick on the top of the frame on the lefthand side. It is difficult to notice from general view. I took the pic with the camera above the top of the frame.

Feel free to email me a convo and tell me what you think about the painting or the listing!

Frogs for Fertility

$18.00
To the Egyptians, the frog was a symbol of life and fertility, since millions of them were born after the annual inundation of the Nile, which brought fertility to the otherwise barren lands. Consequently, in Egyptian mythology, there began to be a frog-goddess, who represented fertility, named Heget (also Heqet, Heket), meaning frog. Heget was usually depicted as a frog, or a woman with a frog's head, or more rarely as a frog on the end of a phallus to explicitly indicate her association with fertility. (From Wikipedia.org)

This is a great necklace that is given more meaning than just adornment. With the hand carved frogs of wood, this necklace has life and represents the giving of life as well!

The other beads are made of bone and accent the frogs with great balance.
