Okay, I admit it - I love the Twilight series. Of course I also love making jewelry and as this necklace was coming together, I just couldn't keep my mind off the upcoming release of the new movie. But, you definitely don't have to be a fan to love this necklace!

The sterling silver ring was handmade by me from 14 gauge sterling silver square wire, fused, hammered and tumbled for a nice shine. Wrapped in more sterling around about a quarter of the necklace I just knew it wasn't done yet. The blood red freshwater pearl was the perfect way to finish this pendant, wrapped securely and dangling freely in the middle of the hoop.

The necklace measures 18.5 inches/46.8 cm and is finished with two platinum grey freshwater seed pearls and a spring clasp. Pendant is approx. .6 inches/15 mm. Please note, each ring and necklace is handmade as ordered so may vary slightly from the pictured necklace.

La Fee Verte, or The Green Fairy is another name for the drink Absinthe, the green alcoholic drink that became popular during the 19th and 20th centuries among French artists and writers. The grossular garnet stone that is the focal center of this pendant made me think of absinthe.

The beautiful green garnet stone is wrapped in silver and adorned with sapphire and andalusite rondelle beads. Also dangling among those are golden rutilated quartz heart briolettes. Surrounded by a strong ring of sterling silver that has been wire wrapped with more sterling to create a sunburst look. The hoop dangles from a puffed and faceted cube of citrine, completing the earthy tones of the greens and browns in the center of the pendant. Oxidized and hand polished to an extraordinary shine, this necklace will turn heads no matter where you go.
