Tea Party Time! I can just see Alice in Wonderland using this pretty set.

A lovely English breakfast set that includes Teapot with lid, creamer, sugar bowl with lid, salt and pepper shakers, jam pot with lid, butter dish with lid and 4 egg cups. They are a pretty creamy color with a raised fruit motif and all pieces have crazing which I think adds to their charm. There is a chip on the bottom of one of the shakers and the side of the butter dish and 2 egg cups have cracks, please see pictures. They are marked Japan 25/9.
A wonderful set to use or display.

This vintage pin is in excellent condition with no makers mark. In goldtone metal with a red glass cabochon stone and 4 clear glass cabochons between the petals of the quatrefoil. Would be lovely with a scarf, on a lapel or with a SCA or LARP costume. I wore it a few times with my old renaissance costume but have since changed colors and no longer need it. It was purchased in the early 1980's.

This is a Vintage bed, from the late 1960's, Miniature Full Size Bed in 1/12 scale. A finely handcrafted piece for your dollhouse of shadowbox. It has a board type hard matress and comes dressed in white sheets. It also comes with a girly bedspread and three pillows made of vintage fabric in a fairy ballerina pattern and trimmed with lace. All the bedding is completely handmade by me. The bed is 7" long, almost 5" wide and the headboard is 3.25" tall.
This one is a real treasure piece.

Our Father among the Saints Nicholas the Wonderworker, Archbishop of Myra (345) is probably the best-loved Saint of the Church.
He was born in Lycia (in Asia Minor) around the end of the third century, to pious Christian parents. His love of virtue, and his zeal for observing the canons of the Church, were evident from his infancy, when he would abstain from his mother's breast every Wednesday and Friday until the evening. From early youth he was inclined to solitude and silence; in fact, not a single written or spoken word of the Saint has come down to us. Though ordained a priest by his uncle, Archbishop Nicholas, he attempted to withdraw to a hermit's life in the Holy Land; but he was told by revelation that he was to return home to serve the Church publicly and be the salvation of many souls.
When his parents died, he gave away all of his inheritance to the needy, and thereafter almsgiving was his greatest glory. He always took particular care that his charity be done in secret. Perhaps the most famous story of his open-handedness concerns a debt-ridden man who had no money to provide dowries for his daughters, or even to support them, and in despair had resolved to give them into prostitution. On three successive nights the Saint threw a bag of gold into the window of the man's house, saving him and his daughters from sin and hopelessness. The man searched relentlessly to find and thank his benefactor; when at last he discovered that it was Nicholas, the Saint made him promise not to reveal the good deed until after he had died. (This story may be the thin thread that connects the Saint with the modern-day Santa Claus).
God honored his faithfulness by granting him unparalleled gifts of healing and wonderworking. Several times he calmed storms by his prayers and saved the ship that he was sailing in. Through the centuries he has often done the same for sailors who call out to him, and is considered the patron of sailors and all who go to sea.
He was elected Bishop of Myra not long before the great persecutions under Diocletian and Maximian (c. 305), and was put in prison, from which he continued to encourage his flock in the Faith. When the Arian heresy wracked the Church not long after Constantine came to the throne, St Nicholas was one of the 318 Bishops who gathered in Nicea in 325. There he was so incensed at the blasphemies of Arius that he struck him on the face. This put the other bishops in a quandary, since the canons require that any hierarch who strikes anyone must be deposed. Sadly, they prepared to depose the holy Nicholas; but in the night the Lord Jesus and the most Holy Theotokos appeared to them, telling them that the Saint had acted solely out of love for Truth, not from hatred or passion, and that they should not act against him.
While still in the flesh, he sometimes miraculously appeared in distant places to save the lives of the faithful. He once saved the city of Myra from famine by appearing to the captain of a ship full of grain, telling him to take his cargo to the city. He appeared in a dream to Constantine to intercede for the lives of three Roman officers who had been falsely condemned; the three grateful soldiers later became monks.
The holy bishop reposed in peace around 345. His holy relics were placed in a church built in his honor in Myra, where they were venerated by throngs of pilgrims every year. In 1087, after Myra was conquered by the Saracens, the Saint's relics were translated to Bari in southern Italy, where they are venerated today. Every year, quantities of fragrant myrrh are gathered from the casket containing his holy relics.
St Nicholas is the patron saint of children, sailors, pharmacists, prostitutes, pawnbrokers and thieves, and we pray to him for deliverance from floods, poverty, or any misfortunes. He has promised to help those who remember his parents, Theophanes and Nonna.

Here is another of my historically costumed dolls. She is the very noble Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. A regal lady, Eleanor is one of history's most beloved women and her life story is remarkable. Garbed in a traditional medieval gown handbeaded along the neck and hem, she has a fabulous pendant with green stones and a chain belt at her waist. On her right hand hand she wears a golden ring. Over her dress she wears a royal blue velvet cloak trimmed in gold with topaz jewels at the neck. Her simple golden crown is placed on top of her veil and her blonde braided hair is secured beneath it in a snood. Under her gown she wears stockings and leather shoes.

This is a one of a kind (OOAK) dressed 'Barbie' doll, meant more as a collectible than a toy. Her clothes are not removable and since she has small beads and other small parts, she is not intended for very young children. She will come with a stand. I am not affiliated with Mattel and use the dolls to display my historical costumes.

This is an 83 page book of Nordic Hardanger, 33 patterns and projects, full instructions. The book is written in Norwegian (I think) but if you are familiar with embroidery or hardanger then you can still use this book. I had no trouble understanding the charts and the basic instruction drawings are very clear.

Excellent photos and charts, only minor shelf wear to the book.

This is a 22" necklace with a 1" x 3" reversible glass pendant. Encased under the glass are two images of Egyptian wall art. The necklace itself is silver lined glass beads, accented with various blue glass and acrylic beads, all strung on wire for strength, with a toggle clasp.

I create Contemporary Coats of Arms, meaning they are created specifically for you and no one else. While these arms do not confer any titles or privileges on anyone and are for decoration only, they are a very meaningful gift or decor item. Created in the same way as our ancestors had theirs created, I start by asking you to fill out a short questionaire (ie: occupation, hobbies, favorite colors, favorite saying, etc). I then come up with a sketch for your approval, once approved, I hand draw and illuminate the coat of arms in the time honored way and embellish it with metal leaf accents. This makes for a very rich, unique piece of artwork. It can be done on either white or cream parchment and the size will be 8.5" by 11" for ease of framing.

This is a hand drawn and illuminated piece of artwork and is NOT COMPUTER GENERATED in any way.

Ladies' arms are traditionally shown on the lozenge or diamond-shaped shield, while the gentlemen's will be shown on the more more often seen shield, however a little artistic license is sometimes used as in the case of the artist's pallette shield shown in the pictures.

If you have a blazon or description of an ancestor's arms or family crest, I can also reproduce those. I can also create crests for schools, businesses and municipalities. Special orders are welcome.
