Hummingbird Whirl

This large whirl is made up of 6 rings about 7 inches in diameter each. Three of the rings are iridized and when in the sun show off sparkles of light around the room. The flower is iridized glass and all the glass is hand cut and ground prior to foil applied. The whirl is then soldered together with a brass swivel to allow the whirl to move in a gentle breeze. It will be great as a gift even a gift to yourself.

This whirl is all handcut glass, ground to fit tightly,copper foiled and soldered with a brass swirl to allow it to twril in a light breeze while hanging in your sun room or picture window. Use a 6 inch plant hanger not furnished with the whirl. I have attached a nickel plated chain to the swivel for strength as this weighs an estimated 2 pounds. It is 9 inches in height and 9 inches wide.

The whirl has six rings, five seguls, iridized white sails and blue seeded cathedral glass to simulate the water. The pictures give one an idea how beautiful this will look hanging or as a table or desk decoration in your home or office.

The solder lines are patina'd with antique brass and shinned with a special wax to make it shine and put a protective coat on the glass. This lavender box is made of spectrum opalescent wispy glass with antique brass finish on the solder lines. I placed soft plastic feet on the bottom to protect furniture from being scratched and a chain inside to protect the lid from falling backwards and breaking the glass.

Santa is a 7 1/2 inch diameter suncatcher. He is all hand cut from selected glass. All pieces are ground and then foiled to make sure of the fit. Solder is then applied to the foil to permenatley join all 27 pieces. The solder is given an Antique Brss finish and polished with a special wax to give the piece a beautiful protective shine.

Celtic Cross No 3

This cross is not done justice by the photos but it does give off a sparkle from the granite glass. It measures approximately 9 1/2 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide weighing in at 11 ounces. The time in making the cross and selecting the glass plus packing it and mailing at the Post Office takes about 9 hours. This is the third one I have made and all three are different due to the glass used. This one has green with blue waterglass in the vertical post while the horizontal post has a light green waterglass and ofcourse The green granite glass in the ring around the cross. Let us not forget the iridized clear granite glass in the center of the panel.

The cross is beautiful hanging in the sunlit window. It will make you happy or if given as a gift the the person receiving it very happy. Thanks for stopping by.

This Iris is made with water glass and is lovely to look at as a decoration on your dining table or in a sun lighted window It measures approximately 11 inches by 7 inches at its tallest and widest. There are 27 cut pieces of glass foiled soldered and polished. The patina on the solder is black. This Iris was made at the insistance of my wife to replace the one similar to this which was sold.This is different than the one we sold in the glass and the difference of the purple color of the glass.

Cape Cod is here in this candle holder measuring approximately 4 1/8 by 4 1/8 by 4 1/4 inches. It is made of White swirly Spectrum art glass and fused blue iridized glass into clam shells. The bubbles are of iridized glass to simulate air bubbles in the sea.(Clams spurt water from their clam beds) We left this in the natural silver color of the solder lines but can be changed if you wish to copper, black or antique brass let me know when ordering.

This small bird while nesting on a tree branch is surrounded by six Spectrum glass rings. Three rings are clear iridized water glass while the other three are clear gold glass. The sphere is held buyu a brass swivel to enable fresh breezes to twril the sphere or rings to transmit dolops of light from the sun around the room. The whirl is almost seven inches in diameter and I would reccomnd this sphere held by a plant hanger (not supplied)of six inches.

The jewel box pictured here is the proto type of a birthday present to Annie. This was designed on my computer using my design software. I used iridized ice crystal glass by Spectrum and green water glass for the leaves and stem on the rose overlay. The box is 4 inches in diameter and and aproximately 3 inches in height.

Spectrum Glass came out with this lovely whte streaky opal glass which qappears to be a clase match for the white poinsettia. This is all hand cut and ground for a better bounding of the copper foil hand wrapped around each piece of glass. The pieces are soldered to the wire ring cut and shape by hand.

This Krazy Owl is made of orange antique glass, blue large gobs for the eyys and yellow wispy glass for the beak etc. All is hand cut and foiled with copper foils soldered and antique brass patina on the solder. I used brass chain to for added safety of the krazy Owl hanging in the window to catch the sun and give off the strange look from the blue eyes. It measures approxsimatley 7 inches in height and 4 1/4 inches in width. Polished with a high quality wax to give a nice shine to the glass and solder lines.

Angel Fish Whirl

Angel is a 6 inch diameter whirl comprised of 6 outside rings and an angel fish swiming in sea grass. This is all hand cut Spectrum Glass foiled in copper. Cleaned and soldered and cleaned again before constructive and decorative soldering. A brass fishing swivel is embeded into the top center of the rings with a nickel chain attached to the swivel for rotation in a gentle breeze.

Hang this in a nice sunny window from a plant hanger (not provided)and see how the sun makes the glass sparkle. The whirl will be a wonderful gift for that exotic fish lover or even yourself to brighten the day. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

This red spectrum glass heart with wispy white wings measures about 7" x 61/4". It is adorned with a pink glass tear drop pendant in the center. A perfect gift for your loved one to brighten their day, thinking of you.

The glass is all hand cut and ground before copper foiling and soldered together. I have used antique brass patina and it is polished to give it a high gloss sheen.

Jocko measures 9 inches wide by 8 inches in height. If anyone would like to change the colors convo me and I am sure we can work it out at no or little extra cost depending on the type of glass. Jocko is comprised of 37 pieces of hand cut glass, foiled, soldered, washed and steel wooled to absorb the antique brass finish better. Finally he is polished to a high shine with a protective wax.

Jocko comes complete ready to hang in the window or you can hang him on a wall.

This pretty red tulip measures approximately 7 1/2 inches in length by 4 1/2 inches at its widest point. This is all hand cut and foiled ready to solder the indiviual pieces together. The leaves are of iridized green glass and the petals of red cathederal glass. With the winter months coming this will liven up those dreay days hanging in your window.
