It was steam set and lovingly washed in lavender Euclan. The top was dried outdoors under a black oak tree and then braided, waiting to be spun into something lovely.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It has a subtle hint of shine from the silk and is so soft!&lt;br /&gt;Will make beautiful yarn.  &lt;br /&gt;Felts great!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Specs: 80% Merino 20% Tussah silk top/ roving&lt;br /&gt;2.0 ounces&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Care: Handwash cold with mild fiber wash. Rinse in cold water. Lay flat to dry&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Note: I have a total of 16 ounces of this top. So if you want to make a bulk purchase, convo me!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;***Kettle Painting is a dyeing techinique that yields very subtle and ever changing colorways.  There are no big blocks of clear color. It produces a very random, watercolor effect.  Colors mix, settle and blend in very unique ways.  These colorways cannot be reproduced and vary from hank to hank (skein to skein) even within the same dyelot.***        </description>
