Butterfly Dish Wood turned Quilted Maple
An elegant dish turned from quilted maple, it measures 8.5" in diameter & about 1.5" deep, nice grain pattern and very thin and delicate. The rim is decorated with a butterfly pattern that has been wood burned or also called pyrography. Finished with a high gloss finish and buffed to a brilliant shine.

Can be used as a candy dish or even a charger as there is a recessed lip or foot on the bottom so that it can be hung as well.

This vase or vessel was woodturned from a log of cherry wood with it's natural edge or bark still intact. Turned very thin, approximately 1/8" it measures 4" in diameter at it's widest point and 4" tall. Slightly ovate in shape. Hand rubbed Tung Oil finish and then buffed with wax for a low satin protective finish.

Wood turned from tulipwood with a shiny shellac finish. The top has a 'chatter' finish which is made using a 'chatter tool'. The tool creates a textured design that forms a unique pattern. The Bottle stopper measures just over 3" in length with stopper made of solid stainless steel which is FDA Approved. It is tapered so that the 3 nitrile o-rings will seal various size bottles, even while laying on it's side! They will not become pitted or corroded over time from contact of the acids in wine.

Great stocking stuffer or perhaps the ideal housewarming accompanied by a bottle of wine.

Every attention to detail in the finish is taken to ensure the life and beauty of this stopper. Wood turned from Bacote then hand rubbed with 3 coats of a tung oil varnish. Bottle stopper measures 4" in length with stopper made of solid stainless steel which is FDA Approved. It is tapered so that the 3 nitrile o-rings will seal various size bottles, even while laying on it's side! These stainless steel stoppers cost a little more to make, but they will not become pitted or corroded over time from contact of the acids in wine.

Woodturned Miniature Birdhouse Ornament
Measures 3.5" tall and 1.5" diameter. Turned from Sugar Maple and Jatoba woods. can be hung on an ornament stand or on the Tree. One gal we know collects them each year as stocking stuffers for her Grandkids - no two are EVER the same!

Can even be made them with the birds inside their house or a free standing ornament that need not be hung - see picture 2!

Hummingbird Potpourri Dish
Measures 4" in diameter, stands 2" tall. Turned from a piece of black walnut wood and topped with a hand pierced picture of a hummingbird, the holes gently let the aroma of the potpourri come through. A "Debs" original! My partner Debbie Woods turned the dish while I drew and pierced the design into the lid. Normally I list work done only by myself - this is a collaboration piece!

Has a hole drilled in the back of it to accept your tree light, so when lit, it highlights the silhouette. This is sure to spruce up any Christmas or Solstice Tree - or can be hung on a stand year round! I pierce the art into it by hand with a high speed air powered drill.

The second photo of the Kitty Cat Ornament is to show how the light is inserted through a hole in the back of the ornament and then used to light up the silhouette. Am currently out of the Kitty Cat silhouetted ornaments, but include it here to show how the light can be inserted.

Also note - the stand does not come with the ornament.

Thin and light wood turned cherry wood hollow form. The contrasting heart and sap wood make it an interesting looking piece. Measures 2.5" tall and 4" in diameter at it's widest point, approximately 1/8" thick. Includes a small natural void (top photo), courtesy of mother nature!

Several coats of hand rubbed Tung oil and then buffed with Carnuba wax for a deep, lustrous protective finish. Signed & dated.

This was turned from 200 year old apple wood that came down during a storm last year near Waterford, VA. Unique hollow form vessel or vase with carved leaves and textured rim. Measures 3.5" tall and 3.5" in diameter at it's widest point, approximately 1/8" thick. Several coats of hand rubbed BLO and then buffed with Carnuba wax for a protective finish. Signed & dated.

This wood turned bowl or vessel measures 5.5" in diameter and stands 2.5" tall. It's turned from English Walnut and has natural voids running throughout it. Some of the smaller voids, I've filled with turquoise and smarage green inlace, the larger void is left untouched, just as nature created it. Hand rubbed and buffed with several coats of BLO and finished with a microcyrstalline wax for durability. Signed & dated.

Letter opener measures almost 10" in length with a green glass bead attached and woodburned rings for interest! Beautifully grained. A bit thicker than most - especially good for folks with bigger hands.
