Snowflake Byzantine Chainmaille Earrings

$77.00
Sparkling silver flakes of Byzantine chainmaille.

length* : 2-1/8 inches
width* : 1-3/8 inches
item # : er-00310
*Measurements are approximate.

After a record-setting snowfall on Christmas Eve and waking up to a white Christmas morning, I was inspired to add a few more flakes to the world. I made six little segments of Byzantine chainmaille and torch soldered them to a round sterling silver frame.

About Chainmaille:
Chainmaille (also chainmail or chain mail) is the ancient art of linking small metal rings in a pattern. "Maille" in French translates to "net" or "mesh" and was originally used in creating armour. Many different chainmaille patterns have emerged over time, and I use these same patterns using silver, gold, and copper to create e-maille. I cut each jump ring myself and then open, link, and close each ring individually using a pair of pliers in each hand. Since each ring is free to move in the linked pattern, the result is a strong piece of jewelry with a nice, fluid movement.

FREE GIFT WRAP AND SHIPPING!!!
All e-maille jewelry comes gift boxed and ready to present at no additional charge and will be shipped via USPS Priority mail.

********************************************************
See the entire collection at http://www.e-maille.com
********************************************************
I'm proud to be a part of the following Etsy Teams:

Chainmaillers Guild (tag: chainmaillers team)
http://team.etsy.com/viewteam.php?id=341
View the blog:
http://chainmaillersguild.blogspot.com/

Etsy Dallas (tag: etsydallasteam)
http://etsydallas.com/
View the blog:
http://etsydallas.blogspot.com/
********************************************************
