Little animals in the Beatrix Potter style are handpainted on this tiny vintage porcelain pitcher. Measuring about 2.5 inches across and 2 inches high, it's most certainly the pitcher from a child's tea set. The bottom is marked Handpainted Noritake, Japan. The pictures show the condition of this old piece, which is excellent for it's age. There is one small flake at the rim as shown which is smooth with age.

Medicine sippers were used in the Victorian era to administer tonics and teas to invalids and others who couldn't sit up to take their medicine. This particular sipper is stamped with the initials of a hospital on the bottom, however, I don't know the hospital's name. It measures a little under 7 inches in length and about 2 inches tall. Just as a note: This is not a neti pot though I suppose it could be used as one. It's a lovely form and clean with nice lines and balance and would make a truly interesting cream pitcher for the tea table!

Too much Fun! This unusual little ceramic, handpainted spice set, Circa 1950, is marked 'Japan'. The original cork plugs are intact though they will probably crumble if removed. This cute set is clean and the holder has a tiny bit of rust in a couple of places. The whole set is about 8 inches in diameter and each slice is about 3 inches high. Salt, pepper, paprika, nutmeg, clove and allspice; a great country cottage working decoration.
