Lines. Unique button ring.

$8.00
Description
Hi there! Thanks for visiting my shop.

This ring is part of my "Sewing pattern buttons" series of rings. I was inspired by vintage sewing patterns. Their clean lines, bold notches and vintage print type were calling out to me to create something out of them, but I can't sew.

This ring is made out of a 2-holed vintage button that measures ~ 1 1/8 inch (~3 cms) in diameter. What is great about these rings is that the vintage sewing pattern paper is so thin that it allows the colors of the buttons to shine through. Absolutely lovely! Perfect for that little black dress or casual with jeans. It is mounted on an antiqued brass adjustable band.

Please note that this ring as with all my vintage rings may have small chips, nicks, inclusions and/or scuff marks on them as I use vintage materials. That's what gives them that truly "vintage" feel and it's what makes them so darn special!

I ♥ our planet. In an effort to do all I can to keep our planet clean, I use recycled materials in my art and in my shipping. Oh, and I am convo friendly. Send me one with any questions.

Also, if you'd like to see what else I've been up to lately check out my other etsy shops:

www.coffeemonkey.etsy.com
www.twoangelsinparis.etsy.com

Thanks for stopping by!
Set of multicolored embellished vintage ornaments (4)

$15.00
Hi! Thanks for visiting my shop.

These ornaments are so lovely! I was inspired to make these by vintage sewing patterns. Their clean lines and bold notches were calling out to me to create something out of them, but I can't sew.

These ornaments are made from vintage metallic ornaments in 4 different collors: red, blue, green and gold. These are so visibly vintage! They have visible cracks in their "gilding" (the thin layer of colored film on them) and the wired used to hang them on a tree so long ago is so old it is rusted in places. These are truly beautiful.

They each measure approximately 1 3/4 inches (~ 4.2 cms) in diameter. What is really great about these ornaments is that the vintage sewing pattern paper is so thin that it allows the metallic red color of the ornaments to shine through giving them a metallic frosty look. Very cool!

They are sold separately or as a set of 4(see my other listings if you're looking to purchase a single one). Use them to decorate with one of my branches which I will be listing soon or to decorate your own tree. You can also use them as gift tags for a unique twist on gift wrapping!

I ♥ our planet. I use recycled materials whenever possible in my art and in my shipping.
Vintage button ring with crackle look on copper plated band

$8.00
Hi there! Thanks for visiting my shop.

I was inspired by some gorgeous vintage buttons that I found in my meanderings through small vintage and antique shops in town. This button really caught my attention because of the crackle effect. It almost looks like old bone, shell or porcelain. It also has some really neat rusty inclusions. Very unique.

This ring is truly beautiful in person. It's really hard to capture it on camera. The back of it has a dirty dusty grey look. You'd think it was dirt, but I've cleaned it several times and it's obviously part of the button because it won't come off. It adds a lot to its character. I don't believe it is made of bone or stone, but of that same kind of durable plastic that buttons are made of. It is mounted on a copper plated band that is adjustable. It measures ~ 6/8 inch (~ 2 cm) in diameter.

If you'd like to see what else I am up to on Etsy, please visit my other shops http://coffeemonkey.etsy.com and http://twoangelsinparis.etsy.com or my blog on http://coffeemonkeymusing.blogspot.com. Thanks for visiting my shop.

This ring is part of my vintage button series of rings. I was inspired by some gorgeous vintage buttons that I found in my meanderings through small vintage and antique shops in town.

This particular ring was made with a really big black glass vintage button measuring ~ 1 1/4 inches (~3.3 cms) in diameter and ~ 1/4 inch thick (~ 7 mms). The button's top side edge is cut with facets that really makes the light play with this ring. It is mounted on an antiqued brass band that is adjustable. Great with that little black cocktail dress or casual with jeans.

Please note that this ring as with all my vintage button rings may have small chips, inclusions and/or marks on them as they are vintage. Their clean lines and bold notches were calling out to me to create something out of them, but I can't sew. The bangle is made from a wood bangle and vintage sewing patterns. To add to its charm, the arm hole isn't perfectly in the middle. The bangle measures ~ 3 1/8 inches X 3 1/16 (~ 8 X 7.9 cm) from end to end and the opening is ~2 5/8 inches wide(6.2 cm).
Altered tree branch

$20.00
Hi there! Thanks for visiting my shop.

Bring the outdoors indoors with these great decorative branches! I have had so many inquiries about these from people who have seen them in photo stagings that I have finally broken down and listing them as well. These are truly amazing in person. I was inspired to make these by vintage sewing patterns. Their clean lines and bold notches were calling out to me to create something out of them, but I can't sew. I also love the idea of returning paper back to the tree. It's almost like it has gone full circle. The paper has "returned to its roots" so to speak.

These branches come in all shapes and sizes. They look great on their own or as a group. They would work really well as either decor in and of themselves or used to hang other forms of decoration. Just sit them in a vase filled with sand as I have (see photos) or nail them to a wall. This is a truly unique way to display anything (from your prized ornament collection to photos in little frames hanging from ribbons. Or you might want to use them in your own mixed media art. Let your imagination run wild! You'll find many many uses for these gorgeous branches.

This listing is for one branch (pictured). This particular branch is approximately 42 inches long and 1/2 of an inch at its widest.

Please note that no trees were harmed in the making of these branches. I ♥ trees. All the branches I use are already dead and have fallen off the tree. I also ♥ our planet. I use recycled materials whenever possible in my art and in my shipping.

**Please convo me if you're interested in having them ship internationally as this requires additional research pertinent to your country re: customs**

If you'd like to see what else I am up to on Etsy check out my other shops or my blog:

http://coffeemonkey.etsy.com
http://twoangelsinparis.etsy.com
http://monkeymind.etsy.com
or my blog at www.coffeemonkeymusings.blogspot.com

$8.00
Hi there! Thanks for visiting my shop.

This ring is part of my "Black glass" series of rings. I was inspired by these beautiful buttons that I found in a cute little tin in a neat vintage shop in town. The buttons were all different sizes and shapes and had all kinds of decorations on them. Some plain and others with carvings or different accents. They're all black glass. They're absolutely gorgeous! So much so that I had to do something with them.

This particular ring is made with a small button measuring ~ 3/4 inch (~ 2 cm) in diameter. It is "domed" in that facets are cut in the side and glistens beautifully when light hits it. It is ~ 1/8 of an inch (~ 5 mm) thick. The band is copper plated and adjustable. Please remember these are made of vintage glass that may not be perfect, but that doesn't detract from their beauty. I think that just adds to their character.

The last photo shows you the other four rings in the series that I have so far listed on etsy. If you're interested in the display tray, I have that listed in my shop as well.

If you'd like to see what else I am up to on Etsy, please visit my other shops http://coffeemonkey.etsy.com and http://twoangelsinparis.etsy.com.

Thanks again!

Thanks for visiting my shop.

These cute little buttons were made of two domed vintage buttons that I embellished with vintage sewing pattern paper. I love the bold notches and clean lines of the sewing patterns and use it often upcycle items that I find on my vintage shopping excursions. I thought these buttons were quite unusual with how domes they were. They are plastic and the underside of them are not finished but cannot be seen when sewn on. They measure 7/8 inch (2.5 cms) in diameter and ~6/8 inch (1.7 cms) in height as measured from the very top to the bottom including the stem. Use them for that cute little vintage dress you covet or that other sewing project you're working on. They will look marvelous!

Please note that these buttons are vintage so they could not possibly in perfect condition. They may have very small scratches here and there that don't detract from their beauty in any way. That's what gives them that truly "vintage" feel and it's what makes them so darn special!

If you're interested in the book I used to stage these photos, please check out my other shop http://twoangelsinparis.etsy.com.
Vintage button and fiber ring

Thanks for visiting my shop.

This ring is part of my "Fiber & buttons" series of rings. I was inspired by this beautiful blue fiber that I found in a second hand shop in town. It was such a perfect shade of blue and I thought I would definitely use it for weaving or knitting, but then I thought of how beautiful it might look as a ring. And thus came about this series of rings. I used vintage buttons to create these rings.

This particular ring is made with a small disk I covered in fiber. I then used a cute little vintage pearl button to embellish its surface. It measures ~ 1 inch (~ 2.8 cm) in diameter and ~ 1 inch (~ 2.8cm) in height as measured from the point where the fiber meats the band.

Always, always feel free to convo me with questions, to tell me I am in a treasury or just to say hi! Thanks for visiting my shop.

This ring is part of my vintage button series of rings. I was inspired by some gorgeous vintage buttons that I found in my meanderings through small vintage and antique shops in town.

This particular ring was made with a lovely vintage button with a neat circular pattern. Its mahogany color is truly beautiful. It measures ~ 1 1/8 inches (~2.9 cms) in diameter. It is mounted on an antiqued brass band that is adjustable.

If you'd like to see what else I am up to on Etsy, please visit my other shops or my blog:

http://coffeemonkey.etsy.com
http://twoangelsinparis.etsy.com
http://coffeemonkeymusing.blogspot.com.
Thanks for visiting my shop.

This bowl is part of my "Paper wrapped" series of items. I was inspired by these awesome vintage sewing patterns that I have used in some of my other work. I just love the blocky bold vintage lettering, bold notches and clean lines of these patterns and decided that I had to do something with them. I just can't sew.

Specs:
10 inches at its longest
7 inches at its widest
Metal and paper

The great thing about this dish is that the paper is so thin that it allows the metallic shine to come through. It's truly beautiful in person. It's hard to capture in a photo how the light plays with the metal underneath.

I ♥ our planet. I use recycled materials in my art and shipping whenever possible.

If you'd like to know what else I've been up to on etsy, come on into my other shops:

http://coffeemonkey.etsy.com
http://twoangelsinparis.etsy.com
http://monkeymind.etsy.com

yes...I like monkeys

Vintage black glass button ring

$8.00

This particular ring is made with a small black glass button measuring ~ 7/8 inch (~ 2.3 cm) in diameter and ~ 1/4 of an inch (~ 5 mm) thick. It is ever so slightly convex and is cut in multiple square facets on the surface. It really catches the light! Perfect for that little black dress or casual with jeans. It is mounted on an antiqued brass adjustable band.

Please note that this ring as with all my vintage black glass rings may have small chips, inclusions and/or scuff marks on them as they are vintage. That's what gives them that truly "vintage" feel and it's what makes them so darn special!

Always, always feel free to convo me with questions, to tell me I am in a treasury or just to say hi! I love convos! And if you'd like to see what else I am up to on Etsy, please visit my other shops or my blog

http://coffeemonkey.etsy.com http://twoangelsinparis.etsy.com
http://coffeemonkeymusings.blogspot.com.

I often feature other etsians!

Thank you for stopping by.
Thanks for visiting my shop.

This ring is part of my "Sewing pattern buttons" series of rings. I was inspired by vintage sewing patterns.
