$32.00
The weeping willow has symbolized many things over the years including joyfulness, fertility, forsaken love and grief. The way the wind blows through its branches is one of its most endearing and provocative qualities which always puts me in a thoughtful and whistful frame of mind.

Here's the weeping willow stencil on tea-stained hemp with a great coordinating vintage wool on the back. These two make a great pair. The size is 12" x 12" and the filling is kapok. This one is spot clean only. Please note that these pillows are made to order. Allow up to 1 week from time of purchase for me to get it in the mail.

hand-stitched neckwarmer with vintage patchwork

$40.00
Here's my take on the neckwarmer. I used a variety of some of my favorite vintage fabric bits and hand-stitched most of it. There is an extra layer of vintage flannel fabric in the middle and then a striped upcycled flannel layer to go next to your skin. The neckwarmer has tie closures plus a vintage button positioned so that you can wind the top tie around it to make the top of the warmer a bit snugger in cold weather. This is still a bit lighter-weight so good on sunny winter days or these in between autumn days. The size is about 7" x 23" without the ties. Please see my flickr for more images of this piece: http://www.flickr.com/photos/enhabiten/.

The faded fabrics and playful embroidery are dear. I am taken with these pillows.

stats:
11" x 14"
backing is tea-stained hemp
filling is organic kapok
spot clean

*please note this is an old textile. I have chose sections of the quilt based on embroidery detail, composition of the patches and color combinations. I avoided the most worn or stained sections but these are beautifully imperfect and rustic.

I hand tea-stain the hemp the pillow is made with as well as free hand the words so each will be slightly different. Regarding the embroidery thread, this comes from my collection of vintage threads and the colors vary slightly from that pictured.
*This pillow is made to order. Please allow up to one week from the time you place your order to the time it is shipped. Thanks.

The batch I'm using for these bolsters was originally a mattress cover. The bolster is 7" diameter x 21" long. I've stuffed it full with organic cotton filling to make a pretty solid pillow for use on your bed or sofa. The bolster shape is great for giving your neck support and some rest. Please note that this is a vintage textile and there are some very faint stains few and far between. The fabric has been thoroughly washed and dried, however. For me often times, the blemishes and signs of age only add to the overall charm. Spot clean only.

Beginning about 1800 itinerant stencil artists like Moses Eaton Jr. travelled around the countryside and decorated farmhouse walls with the most incredible designs.
This pillow is hand-stenciled and washed to a worn in fade. The stencil is on tea-stained hemp and the back of the pillow is a great vintage black and white wool. The filling is eco-friendly kapok and the size is 12" x 12". Spot clean only.
Please note that these pillows are made to order. Allow up to 1 week from time of purchase for me to get it in the mail.

You know how when you have a beautiful thing like this you hesitate using it/cutting it but then it just lays around and can't be appreciated? Well, no more of that. I love the way it looks with the tea-stained hemp. I stuffed the cushion with kapok and the size of this one is 10" x 18". The lace is securely sewn into the seams of the pillow on each end but I left it loose to drape over the front of the pillow (if ya know what I mean...do you?) Anyway, I liked it that way so I made it that way.
Spot clean.

The fabric is an environmentally friendly hemp which I've tea-stained. I embroidered the 25 "fireworks" free form in rows across the front of the cushion. Each little embroidery is different as is each row. Spot clean.

I hand-embroidered a green branch on the front with some vintage string in a great green apple color. Spot clean.

white cross kapok pillow in hemp

$30.00
The pillow is 12" x 12" and stuffed full of eco-friendly kapok. I love this most basic motif with the reference to the Red Cross as well as the fact that it works well in almost any home environment. If you like this one be on the look out for the cross design in plaid wool as well as the mottled wools I use and some vintage. This little delicate cross is made from the same tea-stained hemp as the body of the pillow and it is handsewn. Spot clean.
