SWEATER TO... UPCYCLE AND PATTERN BOOKLET (PDF or printed copy)

$3.00
This booklet is divided into two sections. The first part has instructions on recycling sweaters for their wool followed by some simple patterns. The second part tells you how to felt sweaters and gives you some pattern suggestions.

The patterns are all simple enough for a beginner knitter and crafter to make and feel incredibly proud of themselves! The knitted ones are all variations of a simple square or rectangle and can be done by either knit stitch or a combination of knit and purl stitches.

For the felted patterns all you need to do is cut out the patterns from the templates and using a simple running stitch, back stitch or blanket stitch you can transform your old sweater. Don’t panic, instructions are included for the stitches!

In the knitting section there is a garter stitch scarf: just cast on and knit, knit, knit until you get to the length you want and cast off!

The ballet slippers make perfect guest slippers if you want to make a few pairs for your friends to wear when they come over. They’re not exactly one-size fits all, but they will stretch a little for larger feet and you can pull on the tie to make them snug for smaller feet.

When you’re ready to mix it up a bit you can make a simple moss stitch facecloth by alternating purl stitches and knit stitches.

In the felting section you’ll find patterns for a lavender heart sachet to keep your drawers scented, a simple hat, a pair of mittens, an iPod cosie and a wallet.

PLEASE STATE IF YOU WANT A PDF OR A PRINTED VERSION OF THE BOOKLET. There are no postage charges for a PDF version, naturally, so ask me to send you a revised invoice if you are selecting this option.

She is an update to my "classic" black fascinator. She is made from a black circular straw base with merry widow veiling spotted with little velvet dots. She is topped off with a black velvet bow. She reminds me of the black velvety petals of a black viola flower.

£25 / $35

If you're from the UK then you can buy this fascinator in £GBP at lisamargreet.folksy.com!
