We recently acquired a collection of hand-cut silhouettes from the 1950s. All were made by cutting out the image in black and gluing it to what was probably a white paper, but has now yellowed with age.

This unframed silhouette is of a young woman on a 5" x 8" paper. On the back, it is apparent that the silhouette was once glued to something else, perhaps a scrapbook.

I will ship the silhouette with a piece of cardboard to keep it from getting creased. In the US, it will ship First Class and First Class International everywhere else.

CLEARANCE Vintage 1960s POGUE'S Green Blue Pillbox Hat with Colorful Rhinestones

We recently purchased a collection of 1950s-1970s hats at an estate sale. Most will come with a vintage hat box, some with the previous owner's handwritten dates of purchase.

This interesting pillbox hat is made of a green, blue and gold fabric and covered with multi colored rhinestones, some as large as 1/2" in diameter. Most of the hat is covered with green netting, and there is a matching green ribbon bow on top. Also included are two hatpins, one with a large blue glass bead at the end. The interior is green satin. The label inside reads "Pogue's Cincinnati" (Pogue's was a large department store chain in Cincinnati that's been gone for sometime now).

The hat size is labeled 22 and is about 3 3/4 inches high. The inside is 7 inches in diameter.

It appears to be in excellent condition, although the box is a little worn.

The hat and box will be shipped inside another box via Priority Mail in the US and First Class International everywhere else.

This unusual pair of frames is made of silver metal with one-piece clear plastic nosepiece and clear plastic earpieces. Made in Italy by Unico in the 1970s or 1980s. Still has a price sticker on one arm. No lenses, but most opticians will fit them with new ones. Here are the sizes:

Width of lenses/nosebridge: 53/15mm
Height of front: 2"
Width of front: 5"
Length of arm: 5"

The frames have never been used, but there are a few tiny scratches in the finish along the top of the rims (about 1/4" long) and a couple of places on one arm (total about 1/4" also).

Vintage 1980s CHARMANT Poly Flex Clear with Blue Eyeglass Frames

Clear plastic rims with blue on the outer sides and silver metal arms accented with blue vertical stripes near the hinges. Made in Japan by Charmant probably in the 1980s. No lenses, but most optometrists will fit them with new ones. Here are the sizes:

A nice pair of tortoise plastic frames, made in Italy by Sarah Coventry, probably in the 1980s. The mirrored lenses are tinted a dark gray.

Condition: Frames have light wear on the arms. Both lenses have several small scratches, mostly in the center.

At a recent estate sale, we purchased a box of promotional t-shirts from the late 1970s & early 1980s once owned by someone who apparently worked for the company that produced Smirnoff, Yukon Jack and others liquors.

This t-shirt is pre-shrunk 100% cotton and made by Anvil. The front says "JEREMIAH WEED, 100 Proof, 'He was a helluva Railroad Man'." The back says "JEREMIAH 100 PROOF WEED" with manufacturer's info in smaller print.

Size is Medium. Chest measurement: 40". Length from shoulder to bottom of hem: 29" This t-shirt has never been worn and in excellent condition.

We recently acquired several evening bags at an estate sale and will be listing them here. I'm not sure how old they are, but I'm guessing they are from the 1970s and 1980s.

This navy blue purse is made mostly of a satin-like fabric with the entire flap beaded with blue iris seed and bugle beads. Inside there is a small pocket. The flap has a snap closure.

The navy braided strap measures about 47 inches and can be kept inside to carry the purse as a clutch. The purse is 7 inches at its widest part, 1 1/4 inches deep and 4 inches tall.

The bag is in excellent condition with no missing beads, however a few might be loose.

This is a lot of 30 navy blue plastic-type buttons on 6 cards, measuring 9/16" - 1 1/8". All cards are full. My guess is they are from early as the 1940s through the 1960s.
