Just look at that pearl! It's a tiny detail, yet everyone notices it peeking out from below the wrapping of the partially enclosed dimensional pod. These earrings have presence at about 2" long, but their airy openness keeps them from weighing you down... they are very light.

As shown the earrings are oxidized sterling with a white freshwater pearl. The pods dangle from a heavy oxidized sterling French earwire.

I make everything by hand and to order, so custom requests are accepted ~ if you love these earrings but have long dark hair, I'd be happy to create them in shiny silver, and I have other pearl colors available... just send me a message.

This bracelet made its debut at SOFA Chicago in 2007, and then it appeared in daab's compendium of international jewelry designers, "Jewelry Design," in 2008. It has made its appearance at several gallery shows and been to many a party on my wrist, but now it's time for it to have a life of its own.

I made each pyramid individually, without the use of a form. They are surprisingly uniform, and I love how they look bunched together... the individual pieces create a whole that is totally different. This piece is oxidized sterling silver with 6 solid 14k gold pyramid accents that really catch the light and keep the eye moving around the shape. The simple hook clasp is also 14k gold so it's easy to locate.

This bracelet is extremely full, almost like a cuff. It wears best with 3/4 or shorter sleeves. It does have a bit of an extender chain for fit, although it's sized for an average-sized wrist in the 6.5-7.5 range. With practice it is possible to put on yourself, but it's ideal to have an assistant so you can roll and seat the pyramids on your wrist while someone else is clasping it. After a few minutes of wearing it can sometimes be tightened as the pyramids find their comfortable spots.

Folds of wire form protective petals around a central pearl. When making these pieces they resemble nests to me, yet as a stick pin it does look like a delicate blossom perched on your lapel.

The sterling wire is hardened before I shape these, making this delicate piece stronger than it looks.

The medium nest is approximately 1.25" in diameter. As shown it is sterling with a central pink pearl. In the group photo you can see that I make various sizes, can oxidize the pieces with different effects, and have other pearl colors available (white, pale grey, and dark grey). The stem is a little over 3" long so it can be secured easily in a coat or suit jacket lapel. This piece is also adorable on a hat or securing a scarf or cardigan.

Wire is such an industrial material, yet I love how it also can look so elegant... I often think of my own work as "industrial elegance." This bracelet captures that term the best in my mind, I guess because it's one of the simplest designs I create. I wrap and curve the wire around itself... I just let the beauty of the wire itself and its nature come through. I form each one individually by hand, so no two are ever the same. Some have more curls, other more wraps... it's fun to layer them on so you can appreciate their individual natures.

***A note about SIZING! Bracelets, particularly bangles, can be tricky to size. I have created small, medium, and large sizes... but with a bangle, this is based on the size of your hand, not your wrist. SO, since you aren't here to try them on, the best thing to do is to read my sizing guidelines (I've copied this from the FAQ section on my website) so I'll be sure to make one that fits you:

How do I measure my hand to fit a bangle?

Cut a long 1-inch wide strip of paper. Pull the tips of your fingers together and make your hand as small as possible (mimic the way you would put on a bangle). Wrap the piece of paper around the widest point of your hand (usually the knuckles) and mark the point where the paper overlaps to form a complete circle. Measure the length and compare it to this chart for my bangle sizes. Double check your measurement by taping the paper together in a circle to make sure it can slide on and off over your hand.

Small: 7.75-8

Medium: 8.5-8.75

Large: 9.25-9.5

I don't know about you, but I love the idea of lariats but don't always love the way they slide around... they end up being too fussy for me. So I designed this faux lariat... I've wired the chain together at a point so that the two balls hang "just so," lightly staggered yet still bumping against each other. There's a simple clasp at the back that holds it all together.

This necklace has become one of my best sellers. It's just such a great accent piece! It looks beautiful in an open v-neckline, and it also works with a button down shirt (pop a button or two open to let it show ;)

The length of the chain that goes around the neck is about 16", and I can accommodate custom length requests (you want it to hit below your neck, not be too tight). The balls drop down approximately 1.75".

I am showing three different color options in my photos: sterling with iolite gems (a translucent denim blue), black and white (oxidized silver with white pearls), and sterling with garnets.

This necklace is one of my all-time favorites. It always looks good. I love how it drapes along the base of the neck, it is so airy and flattering. A beautifully detailed accent that is understated yet still garners attention for its simplicity.

This miniature cube pendant is significant enough to make a statement, yet lightweight and airy enough to be an everyday piece. It looks beautiful over a solid sweater or hanging against your skin.

I hand form each cube frame individually out of wire without the use of forms, just pliers to help me bend the wire. I then do all of the wrapping by hand... it's much like basket weaving on a very tiny scale. Once the cube is enclosed, it is extremely strong yet has such a wonderfully airy look to it.

Extra Large Gradient Nest Pendant

Can we say dramatic? This pendant is approximately 2.5" in diameter. That's a big piece! Since it's so airy it doesn't overwhelm most frames, yet you should be comfortable with attention.

I hand-form each pendant, which I think of as a nest due to how the petals of wire fold protectively around a central pearl. You can also see that there are interesting tones going on here. The nest is formed from sterling silver wire, I then oxidize it in such a way to achieve a gradient to add more dimension and pop to the piece. I never know how the gradient is going to come out... there can be gold tones and tones of blue, pinkish reds, copper, sometimes a greenish hue. The process is exciting for me, and for you this means you will have a one of a kind piece since no two ever come out the same.

The central pearl is pale grey as shown. I also have pink, white, and dark grey available if you want to customize your piece even more. This pendant hangs on an 18" shiny sterling snake chain, so it can be worn with open necklines. If you are more of a turtleneck person or want a longer chain, I have 20" and some other lengths available.

Tangles and orbs of sterling silver wire are attached to a heavy sterling chain to create this stunning choker that has wonderful movement. I hand wrap each ball and then painstakingly oxidize each one partially to create the two-tone effect. As the balls bump and shift with movement, the tips catch the light creating a beautiful effect.

This necklace has a simple hook at the back that slides into a link of the chain. The balls cover about 15" of chain and there's an additional 2-1/2" of chain so you can adjust the length for different necklines.

Each cube in this 16" long necklace is individually handcrafted without the use of forms. I sculpt each cube skeleton frame with pliers and then hand wrap a lighter gauge wire to enclose it, forming a shimmering basket-type structure that is surprisingly strong.

The beauty of this necklace is in its simplicity. It is a silver necklace, so it can be worn casually or it can be dressed up. Since it's handmade, it can make an ordinary outfit artsy. It can easily be intermixed with other styles of jewelry. The way the light hits the wire wraps is my favorite part, it lends a subtle sparkle.

You can let this necklace tarnish over time if you like the depth of tone that adds (i.e., it will get darker on the inside than on the outside). You can also polish the outside of the forms with a cloth to enhance that look. It is also safe to dip this necklace into any liquid tarnish remover to keep it super shiny. My suggestion is to simply store it in a box to prevent tarnishing and to wear it often so it stays shiny.
