Way back in the day, like the 6th Century BC, Grecian and Chinese alike thought that the sun, moon, and stars were orbiting the Earth. This idea was accepted world wide, and even the great philosophers of the day, namely Aristotle and Ptolemy pontificated this theory. However, in December 1610 Galileo used his telescope to observe that Venus also had moons that displayed phases just like our moon on Earth, thus bursting the proverbial universal bubble.

These beauties are bright and full of light! The center beads are spheres, teal and white much like the colors of Earth from space. The outer ring a bright sunny primary yellow Lucite hoop encapsulates the entire planet. Sterling accents keep this design simple and elegant.

Horses, or hoofed herbivorous mammals, are the direct descendants of Equus. The original species of horse lived about 50 million years ago in North America, and spanned all continents except Australia. Many species were domesticated by central Asian nomads in the 3rd millennium B.C. There are records of horses in Mesopotamia, China, Greece, Egypt, and India. Horses were not domesticated in Western Europe until about 1000 B.C. (We sure have come a long way since then!)

These quarter sized porcelain coins display a galloping horse, running freely, wanting nothing more than to feel the earth beneath its pounding hoofs. Adorned with Czech glass cathedral beads, mookaite, tiger’s eye, and gold these earrings are distinguished and daring! Sport these beauties to a Steeple Chase, or to the barn to feed and water your stock.

I was inspired by the Mayan Ruins, more specifically the massive pyramids they managed to construct, while creating these earrings. The teal stair like beads are reminiscent of the elaborate and detailed ceremonial architecture of the Mayan’s including their alluring and mysterious pyramids reaching as high as twenty stories!

Vintage speckled glass, interesting teal baubles, Swarovski accents, and a handsome color combination…all this pair needs now is a beautiful woman to wear them!

The fifth Chakra, Vishuddha, is located at the base of the throat near the spine and represented by the color blue. Chakras are defined in Sanskrit as circle or wheel. The throat chakra corresponds with communication, self expression, and maturity.

The cyclical nature of life and energy is represented in this pair of beaded hoop earrings by centering the deep blue glass beads as focal points and including, in ascending order, the other colors associated with the chakra model.

With that being said, it is also important to know that these bullets were fired by me! Beads and bullets, who would have thought…
