I can't look at this set of furniture without singing "In The Good Old Summertime". It's graceful elegance brings to mind the tranquil days of summer when folks relaxed on the front porch in the cool of the evening.

But this set isn't confined to the front porch! It's so beautiful that it would settle easily into a conservatory, patio or even a white wicker bedroom or living room.

This four piece set includes a chaise lounge, two peacock chairs and a small table. The upholstery is a delicate floral of delightful pink roses and green leaves on a white background. The matching hand sewn pillows are made of soft cotton in pink and green with tiny glass bead "buttons". The same buttons are found on the cushions of both chairs and the chaise. Draped over the foot of the chaise lounge is a white silk throw, giving the impression that the lady of the house may have just tossed it to the foot of the chaise after her nap.

I seldom repeat a design in my art because I have the attention span of a gnat and I'm always ready to move onto something new and different. But when I did the first tree in this series I loved it so much that I felt a need to create a tree for all four seasons. Each of these pieces took about four months to complete, so you can see how dedicated I was to completing the series!

The art quilt you're viewing now is the spring tree and the pictures just don't do justice to the beautiful pastel colors of this piece. The outer border is a subtle leaf print in delicate pinks, greens and lavenders. The inner border is a lilac fairy frost and the inner frame a mint green fairy frost. The tree is embroidered on cotton sateen. The hand embroidered tree uses several tones of lavenders, purples and lilacs embroidered with silk and rayon threads in a variety of stitches to give it a natural texture.

Then came the beads!! I don't even want to think about how many glass beads are included in this piece, but there are aurora borealis glass beads individually sewn into the each of the borders that give the sparkle of morning dew. The tree itself has thousands of pinkish/lilac beads applied in individual fringes. Each branch swings and sways independently. This was truly a work of love and devotion to apply each and every bead one at a time by hand.

The back is unbleached muslin and there is a rod pocket so your new art quilt will be ready to hang on your own rod. This art quilt measures 24"x24".

The most amazing thing happened to me recently. I absentmindedly left a willow basket laying out in the backyard for several days. When I finally remembered to pick it up, I was shocked to see that someone had moved in!

I've heard it said that fairies like to have their houses hidden away from human eyes so they're not distubed and it must be true! I didn't disturb the little fairy, but I decided to make more hidden fairy houses to share with other people.

Would you like to have a fairy living with you too? I can't provide the fairy, but I have the pefect solution for a home that will entice fairies to move in! This sweet little tudor style quarter scale house is only 5" wide, 5 1/2" tall and 3 3/4" deep. The house is all wood and hand crafted and features a thatched roof.

Leopard Print Living Room Furniture with Drapes, Dollhouse Miniature

The lion may sleep tonight, but with this set of furniture and drapes there'll be a party going on in your dollhouse every night!

It's the perfect balance of exotic and elegance. While I was working on it, I kept thinking of Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant chasing after a black leopard........classy and fun. Whether the setting is art deco or modern, it lends a certain elegance while still making a dramatic statement.

The leopard print fabric is 100% quilters cotton. The drapes are black silk and so is the throw on the arm of the chair. The pillows are soft and sensual black velvet and the one tiny touch of tiger print in the pillow on the chair gives just the right touch of color.

This set is 1:12 scale and intended for collectors, not for child's play. The couch is 2 3/4" tall, 4 1/4" wide and 2 3/4" deep. The chair is 2 3/4" tall, 4" wide (with the throw) and 2 3/4" deep.

The drapes are 3 3/4" wide and 6 3/4" tall, made of loosely pleated black silk topped with a leopard print cornice valance. Designed to fit most standard dollhouse windows, I only included two in this set because most dollhouse rooms have two windows. However, I do accept custom orders, so if you have need for additional window treatments to match, just send me a convo!
