Here is my latest chain design - 24-gauge sterling silver formed into sweeping figure eights form the chain with a large 18-gauge pendant of the same shape adorned with small but top grade citrine and garnet. It is dainty but oh so shiny. Chain comes in an 17" before the additional pendant but can be lengthened to 22" without additional charge.

This design comes from my personal need to have a beautiful spot of color to accent my mostly black wardrobe. I wanted something different than one large stone so after much work, I have come up with this beautiful design. High grade garnet beads are carefully wrapped around a thick piece of hammered sterling silver. The piece then is attached to my original hand-linked 24-gauge sterling silver chain for the complete look.

The neckpiece is substantial, but still incredibly feminine and dainty. The garnet piece measures 1 1/4 inches across and 1 inch in height. It hangs from an 18-inch chain. The matching earrings are pictured in the bottom photo.

This is my favorite of my newest designs. This necklace came out of my artistic need to utilize the spactacular colors of natural occuring stones but showcase them in a way that was a bit more edgy - avoiding the one big stone of color. The piece has some weight so it hangs well, is very comfortable, and can take the wear and tear of normal life.

Beautiful A-grade garnets are wrapped with sterling silver around a piece of 16-gauge sterling silver that has been hammered and filed. The neck piece hangs from a hand-linked 22-gauge sterling silver chain and closes with a sterling silver lobster clasp.

The garnets are small 3.5-4mm and the entire necklace measures just over 2 inches wide. But it has a nice weight to it and is really strong. The chain is 18" in length and can be shortened or made longer at no additional charge. (up to 22")

ABOUT AMETHYST
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. The name "amethyst" comes from the Greek and means "not drunken." This was maybe due to a belief that amethyst would ward off the effects of alcohol, but most likely the Greeks were referring to the almost wine-like color of some stones that they may have encountered.

Amethyst can occur as long prismatic crystals that have a six sided pyramid at either end or can form as druzes that are crystalline crusts that only show the pointed terminations. As a mineral specimen, amethyst is popular for its color and nice crystal shapes that produce a handsome, purple, sparkling cluster.

ABOUT AQUAMARINE
Aquamarine is the blue variety of a stone called Beryl. It is the birthstone of the month of March. Some call it "the stone of sailors" believing to provide protection from the sea. Interestingly, some folklore states that the aquamarine is good for assisting with mediation, and protection from gossip. It has been associated in ancient times to reduce the effect of poisons and thus assist with throat ailments.

This is my favorite of my newest designs. This necklace came out of my artistic need to utilize the spactacular colors of natural occuring stones but showcase them in a way that was a bit more edgy - avoiding the one big stone of color. The piece has some weight so it hangs well, is very comfortable, and can take the wear and tear of normal life.

Beautiful top-grade Iolite are wrapped with sterling silver around a hammered and filed stem of sterling. The necklace hangs from a hand-linked 24-gauge sterling silver chain and closes with a sterling silver lobster clasp.

The gemstones are small 3-3.5mm and the entire necklace measures just over 2 inches. The chain is 18" in length and can be shortened or made longer at no additional charge. (up to 22")

It is a design I have developed and have not seen before. There are five links per inch to give the chain strength yet still remain lightweight and feminine. What a beauty!

So I finally am selling the much larger version of my signature chain. This chain is handcrafted from 20-gauge half hard sterling silver wire. The ends of each of the links are blunt cut and filed (as needed) for a nice secure fit when bent into its individual link. Each link is 5/8" long for a total length of 20 inches for the piece. The necklace closes with a sterling silver lobster clasp.

A Complement of Color

This is a truly unique combination of colors.
Two 6mm AA-grade amethyst beads accented by three 6mm New Jade beads. It is the best of light and dark and complimentary colors with a twist. Both beads are translucent, but the Amethyst are the purest of dark purple and the New Jade are the lightest of green/yellowish. The beads hang from an 18-gauge hand forged link. A 22-gauge link then ties the bundle into the 20-gauge ear wires. All metal is sterling silver and made by my hand. These were really fun to make! Hope you enjoy them.
