Tho' I'm a crocheter by nature every now and then I challenge myself with something knitted and this mini knitted mohair stole for a 1:12 scale lady doll was the result. The pattern was recently published in ISSUE #171, September 2008 Dolls House and Miniature Scene (my favorite miniatures magazine published in England) and this exact stole in black was featured in the pattern and is now for sale.

The stole measures approx. 4 1/2 inches long, not counting the mock rosette in the front through which a mini button is inserted for closing.

Knitted from super kydd mohair purchased online in Canada (the only truly super thin super kid mohair around, and I've made comparisons of others).

Mini Knit Sweater Lilac Alpaca Yarn for Adult Dollhouse Doll

I've been crocheting miniature items for doll houses and dolls and have recently had many of my designs published in Dolls House and Miniature Scene magazine...but I enjoy knitting in miniature now and then too and this is one of 2 knitted pullover sweaters being offered.

Using baby alpaca lace weight yarn in a pretty lilac color, I knit this amazingly soft pullover (sorry, my camera skills are not that great, but my mini needlework is much better)...measurements are - 2 1/8 inch long from shoulder to bottom and 1 7/8 inch from underarm to underarm when measured flat - measuring from cuff along arm, across shoulder, along next arm to cuff is 4 1/4 inches...measurements and thickness would make it comparable to an oversized chunky weight pullover, the kind where you might wear a cotton shirt beneath - at least to me

It may not fit ON your doll depending on how flexible their arms are but if not, it would look lovely on a hanger or draped over a chair or at the bottom of a bed....

Just can't sit and watch television without thread and hook in hand. Tonight this little crocheted 1:12 scale doily centrepiece was the result. Measuring barely 1 3/8 inches in diameter - thin, lacy with many little "leaves" , lacy openwork and a 6 point star or flower in the center.

This delicate doily or centrepiece would enhance any surface in your dollhouse room whether on a coffee table, end table, dresser, or dining table. Add a pretty vase or little figurine and you have a perfect accessory. In melon pink vintage Retors d'alsace cotton thread. Doily only - end table is prop only and not included.

As some of you may know, I've been designing miniature crocheted items for Dolls House & Miniature Scene for the last two years and this week I've decided to list a few of the 1:12 scale miniature dolls house afghans I've crocheted. Some of the patterns have already been published, others are just crocheted in the same fashion as I do our real life size afghans that fill our own home. Each afghan takes between 12 to 15 hours minimum to crochet using the finest quality Valdani solid color and variegated cotton threads and a teeny, tiny vintage crochet hook. The manufacturer called the variegated thread Gem Symphony because of the color variations of shades of amethyst, emerald, sapphire, amber etc mainly and it's bordered in a vintage green called juniper - measures 4 3/4 inches wide by 5 5/8 inches long ...one thing I love about using variegated threads - the uniqueness of the finished product

I wanted a basic style afghan that would look at home in a den or library or just draped over the back of a big old arm chair - so I decided on a Classic Stripes style using only V stitches and double crochet and the thinnest of my Valdani threads in 60wt - colors are a rich plum, dusty mauve and cream ... the afghan itself measures 4 1/2 inches by 5 inches approximately....

This is one of the first miniature crochet patterns of mine published in DHMS - Issue #154. An original design - approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter - Crocheted with variegated colors in a southwest range of turquoise, sunshine and an orange terra cotta as seen in the scan provided.

Should you prefer your Pansy Doily in another colorway I have provided scans of other possibilities I have made in the past (please click on the ZOOM button under bottom right corner of 3 doily scan for a closer picture) all crocheted using 100% quality cotton threads from Valdani for the pansies, each of which finish to barely 3/8 inch at widest point, and either white or light ivory for the centre, though most here are shown with the pale ivory, which I find the most pleasing....Since any pansy doily, other than the southwest colorway one shown here is a custom order please allow 1 week for completion and mailing out. Also variegated threads never finish exactly the same for each pansy each time but the color variety is always the same as you can see from the scans above.
