1.Look at all my handspun 100% alpaca yarns - (I do not mix in wools or any other fiber).
2.Decide on one or two colors that you would like.
3.Decide on single or double ply if it is one color. ( 2 colors will always be double ply.)
4.Decide on thickness of yarn. Use *WPI as a measure, since handspun yarns will vary, and may not correspond to commercial yarns.
5.Decide if you would like some or all of it elasticized (invisible elastic thread plied in to give it better spring). (This is better on double ply but is possible on single ply.) Recommended for cuffs and headbands.
6.Look at chart below to determine prices. (I do not charge extra for the DESIGN YOUR OWN.)
7.Convo me with choices and or questions.
8.I will then list your order in the shop. I will list samples of color combos as suggestions that have worked for me, but which you do not have to adhere to.
9.I will list the DESIGN YOUR OWN at 2 oz. for the baby yarn. (Your order may cost less , and will reflect your own choices.)

These are the warmest, coziest 100 percent alpaca mittens you’ll ever own. (Just ask our daughter Elizabeth who lives in Alaska.) They are hand knit and handspun from the prime fleece of our own alpacas. They are double plied with bulky yarn.
The extra long cuffs are triple plied with an invisible elastic thread, which allow them to stretch and come back.
