So maybe Bender's not so much a wine drinker per se, but feels himself a bit of a connoisseur with cigars and beer, so his own private label, BLASTED, features a nicely aged malt flavored white wine, from his favorite brewery, of course, Olde Fortran Malt Liquor!

Process: So, let's see, I imagined the design, then drew it, painted it, inked it, printed it, glued it, cut it out, punched holes in it and bound it! NEAT!

Inspiration:
Created for the Art House Co-op Project: The Canvas Project II; 10,000 canvases creating a visual dictionary. Each Artist was given 5 words to inspire their paintings. Each Canvas represents a different word The word: Beagle, Resize, and Sidecar

The original painting was on display at the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, GA July 31st through September 4th and then finished it's exhibition at the Arthouse Coop Gallery in Atlanta in September, 2009.

We share our home with 2 dogs, and so they are like children, and I tend to personify them quite a bit, imagining them on little adventures and even their thoughts in moments of boredom! I love all animals and personally, I feel they improve our lives and our spirits. I would love to share my joy with you, too!

That Christmas, just a week before I left, I got a pair of boots, fashionable ones...My brother said, "Eh, who cares if you are cold, it's not how you feel, it's how you look!" It turned out to be the coldest Winter Europe had seen in 50 years!!

But, I looked good.

"He's out of my life"...

I don't think there are words to express the gift that Michael Jackson gave the world as the superstar of pop music. Growing up, the Jackson Five had a huge impact on me and my brothers musically, then as a teenager in the 80's Michael's tape was always in my player! He will be missed by all. This is my tribute to him.

This leaf is an original watercolor painting, but it has a neat printmaking quality to it..really cool!

I etched the leaf design into the artboard so it would take the color very deeply. Hope you love it too!

Leaves are just about my favorite subject..so beautiful and each full of so much character, each completely different from the next in the way it curls and bends and changes color and crumbles...

I like to extend the painting into the border for a great framed piece, so this piece is not trimmed. I have handcut a matt just for this little treasure, measuring 12"square. Just pop it into a standard frame and hang! (yay)

I designed the trompe l'oeil medallions using age old shapes, such as a fleur de lis, lotus flower and shield medallion, and tweaked them to my own flavor. Although I will use these designs again, possibly in another color or type of painting, these paintings are unique and one of kind.

The canvases were first prepared with a texture, then the base was painted on in layers to give the antique look, after which, I applied the medallions.

This piece will be packaged for protection and perfect arrival to your home!

I designed the trompe l'oeil medallions using age old shapes, such as a fleur de lis, lotus flower and shield medallion, and tweaked them to my own flavor. Although I will use these designs again, possibly in another color or type of painting, these paintings are unique and one of kind.

The canvases were first prepared with a texture, then the base was painted on in layers to give the antique look, after which, I applied the medallions.

This piece will be packaged for protection and perfect arrival to your home!
