Here is an idyllic scene of love between a mommy and her baby. The mother gently holds her child's hands, as the child takes her first steps in the folds of her mommy's gown. The gown winds around and connects this scene to nature as it twists into the vine of a rose plant, which then wends it's way up and over the picture.

It is artist-made in vibrant hues. Starting with a small piece of wool fleece, it is sculpted into its form over the course of many hours. The absence of details on faces is in the Waldorf tradition, leaving the mood and expression to your imagination. Part of what brings this work to life is my signature style of creating my pieces in a bas relief - you can look at this sculptured work from any angle and get a fresh perspective. Note that the arms of the mother and her baby lift right off the "page" and of course, the roses are in three dimensions as they wind around a branch, which you may use as your hanger. The overall thickness is about 2".

The piece measures approx. 8" (10" with branch) down by 10" across, and is signed on back and has a woolen hanger.

It is perfect for enhancing any wall of the house, hanging over a nature table. Nursery decor...Whatever you choose, it is made from natural wool fibers and will become a family heirloom for generations! What a wonderful gift for a new mother, someone with a small child, shower gift, etc.

"Come Fly with Me" is artist-made in vibrant hues of peach, pink, fuchsia, greens, blues and teal. It is quite detailed, while keeping the Waldorf tradition of leaving their expressions to the imagination. Part of what brings this work to life is my signature style of creating my pieces with in a bas relief - Both the Fairy and the Unicorn are really small wool sculptures.

This is a simple scene captures a serene moment in the forest on a cold winter's day.

Each piece is Waldorf-Inspired and artist-made from soft hand dyed wool wool and organic wool batt. Though all the clothes and hats are made with great attention to detail, the absence of details on their faces is in the Waldorf tradition, leaving their moods and expressions to your imagination.

I recently created this playscape and the three little people for my daughter's 4th birthday using a single needle or sometimes two held together. It is made completely from various types of wool and quite durable.

Each of the figures, inspired by Elsa Beskow's book, "Woody, Hazel and Little Pip," is approx 3 1/2 - 4" in height with bendable arms and legs for tree-climbing, hanging, standing.

The tree stands about 7 1/2" tall and the play mat is about
10 by 12". It has a babbling brook, a little hill with toadstools, flowers, a log in the foreground, and of course a hollow oak tree with gnarly roots.

I would be pleased to recreate this playscape and figures. The custom order will not look exactly the same, as it is created from scratch with no patterns, and because my wool changes as I run out and reorder. Each one will be an original. But the elements will be the same as described above and the colors will be as beautiful and rich; the dolls as sweet and cuddly...the perfect gift for children who have grown past nibbling their toys. My child enjoys "puppet" shows with hers and plays independently with the dolls and play mat making up her own scenarios.

This set features a completely needle felted tree stump pencil holder. Beside it sits a gnome holding his friend the bunny with some flowers nearby. Along hops another bunny, munching on some carrots.....The hopping bunny, the carrots and one of the flowers all double as pushpins! Nesting in the tree is a bluebird in its nest, secured to a pencil. All three pushpins can be moved about to different places, and of course the pencil is real and ready for sharpening!

The set includes the tree stump pencil holder soft sculpture with gnome, three pushpins (the bunny, the flower and the carrots) and a pencil with a blue bird nesting on top. The grassy area measures about 8" x 7" and the pencil holder stump in almost 5" tall.

I have made available a series of my needle felted, wool "paintings" as prints. Please note: this is not the original needle felt, but a print on professional grade glossy stock. The 8.5 x 11 paper is uncut so that you may frame the image as you choose. The image itself is approx. 5 x 7"

"Girl in Pursuit" is a magical portrait of a girl flying through the air with the help of her balloon.

The ceremony is over, and the newlyweds fly off, dancing across the night, over the ocean, the mountains, toward the moon. Two sweet doves watch over them....in this Chagall - influenced piece.

It is artist-made in swirling vibrant hues. It is incredibly detailed, while keeping the Waldorf tradition of leaving their expressions to the imagination. Part of what brings this work to life is my signature style of creating my pieces with in a bas relief - The bride's skirt and veil literally, off the background, as do the groom's dancing legs
