$400.00
The coming of the sun was hailed with joy.

Many deities have been associated with the sun *BUT* it's the goddess Isis that's said to be the mother of the sun. So, mirrors surround this sun to project silver, the feminine principle of the universe.

White shards give this sun it's body and soul as the color white is the complete energy of light.

As with all of my mosaics I use ceramic pieces I've found from old dump sites past. The base is plywood and sealed as is the finished product, sealed with clear enamel. The clear marbles add another dimension of play.

24"

I *think* it's a member of the "Fiesta" family of potters and craftspeople. I unearthed it at one of my fave hunting, soul shard searching sites. It never failed to deliver a wonderous token of life past.
It'll soon to be the new dorm site for IUSB students.

ply wood base
18"H
12"W
1/2"D

Found Art, Outsider Art, Pique Assiette Mosaic

Sealed and signed

I love the color green...it's one of the most soothing and balancing of all colors. In Egyptian art, it's the color of vegetation and new life.

Enjoy.

As I hiked along the river I discovered a dumpsite and the yellow shards utilized in this piece.

18"x12"x 1/2"

A sealed ply wood base.
Tooth Fairy

$30.00
A dear friend of mine in Nashville gifted me with "candle" jars. I decided to "upcycle" and reuse the jars, and add a whole lotta color, fun, and whimsy.

The "marks" are from partial plates I've found during one of my many relic hunting adventures. The shards vary, which gives this piece a fun vibe. I added glitter to the grout to raise the fun to the nth degree. A hand-painted dance card (explanation) accompanies this piece; where the shards were unearthed and the shard's date (when available, sometimes they DO play hard to get).

The Jar is topped with a funky pink 'thing' (I have NO idea what it's original purpose was) and adhered to that is an old sparkly button... then painted and topped sealed wood lid.

Fill it with your favorite baubles, beauty products, cotton balls, Q-Tips or a candle. Or howse 'bout some tooth fairy cash:)

4 1/2" H x 14 1/2" around:)
