This product is heat-safe in temperatures of 275 degrees f for up to two hours in one bake time. Or they can be baked multiple times at lower temps. Note: Mecha Iris' do not actually "light up" they just reflect the light from the pupils.

One-Of-A-Kind Polymer Clay sculpture. 11"(inches)long, by 8"(inches)tall, by 9"(inches)wide. (with base)

The Hippocampus can be removed from the base, to be held, and for ease of shipment.

I really enjoyed creating this sculpt. The folklore of this creature has always captivated me. My intention with this piece, and my other sculptures is to be experienced in 3 dimensions, to feel the detail, not just to marvel at it. All the textures, and reflections of light are to be animated by the movement in-hand, as light refracts off of it.

The mane, and tail are silky and soft, the body is smooth, and shiny, the scales are slightly rough to the touch, and the fins are crinkly. The 'Spectral' eyes shine, like a fire from within.
The seashells compliment the sculpt with a riot of different textures, The starfish is a real, preserved animal, after which it has died of natural causes. The Sand is rough, but sparkles as light bounces off of each individual grain. Respectively, the frosted sea glass only suggests a subtle flash of light and color, and is like velvet when you run your fingers over it.
Even the wood base has the look and feel of sun-aged driftwood, with an added hidden shimmer of sea green beneath the crackled paint. It compliments perfectly the shades of sea glass buried within the sand.

I can only hope that the lucky owner of this piece will enjoy, and treasure it as much as I did, while I worked upon it, and will continue to do so for many years to come!

Care and maintanence:

Being of an original colored pencil illustration, the owner must maintain the finish of the art, by gently rubbing the surface with a soft cloth to remove the wax bloom that will accumulate over time. The bloom is harmless, and is the result of the pigments in the wax settling. Removing this residue will not harm the art, if done carefully.

This Dragon purse is approximately 10.5x7.5 inches in size. The gem on the front is inset to the box to appear that the Dragon is grasping it. There are also red gems adorning the head of this Dragon as well. The inside has a genuine Swarovski crystal set into the woodcarving on the inside lid. On the bottom of the inside, there is another gem set under the Chinese character "Lung". The head of the Chinese Dragon bust also has some gems adorning its head as well. The interior is painted acrylic. The Dragon is watercolor, and the handle is Bamboo. The feet are corked to prevent scratching or slipping.

The figures are all on soldered wire. With base: 18" inches tall, 18" inches long, and 14" inches deep.

Baby: 9" inches tall, 12" inches long, and 11" inches deep. Mr. Toad: 3" inches tall, 4" inches wide, and 4" inches deep.

Base is styrofoam covered in Celluclay (a type of paper mache) Silk-like leaves, natural mosses, and natural tumbled stone. The rocks, are sculpted out of aluminum foil covered in more Celluclay. The Mushrooms are made out of white Sculpey Original polymer clay, painted with Acrylic paint, and then glazed with Sculpey Gloss. The gems are acrylic.

The crystals are all Swarovski Fire Opal, Volcano, and Green Tourmaline. Eyes are made by me, from scratch.

Great for the Halloween spirit!

My One-Of-A-Kind hand cast, and sculpted Dragon Eye held in a Dragons claw. Each one is individually made. Variations are expected.

The eye is 36 millimeters in diameter, or nearly 1.5 inches in size. With the claw, the focal point on the wire necklace is around 2 inches in size, but is surprisingly light to wear.

The focal point can be removed if desired, and used on a customers own necklace or cord. The wire is galvanized steel in 12 gauge. It will resist rust for a long duration, and should not affect or cause skin allergies.
