Vintage Style Snowman

$35.00
Perfect for your Christmas collectibles, this Vintage Style Snowman is a new design by Little Sister's Dolls for Winter 09.
He measures 15" tall and is made from stained Warm & Natural batting.
His lower body is weighted with plastic pellets, then firmly stuffed with premium poly fiber stuffing.
I've recycled various Vintage finds in his construction.
His stove top hat and scarf are vintage black wool remnants, and his plaid jacket is also vintage wool.
I've trimmed his jacket with stained muslin, and finished off the edge of his lapel with a blanket stitch using black cotton floss.
Two vintage black buttons are sewn onto the front of his lapel.
His right arm is stitched to his body, enabling him to hold his Christmas wreath. I made it with faux greenery, and tied on several chenille stem candy canes stained with coffee, for a time worn look.
Black beads are sunken for his eyes, and a vintage red covered button is sewn into place for his nose. Another vintage black button is sunken for his mouth. Cotton floss was used to stitch his eyebrows.
His hat is sewn into place, and is sprinkled with German glass glitter.
I've also applied it to his cheeks, nose, scarf, wreath and lower body.

It has been sewn into place.
His jacket is made from a wonderful blue and white snowflake patterned high quality cotton, and is trimmed with Warm & Natural batting. It has 3 small rusty jingle bells sewn on the front of the lapel.
His scarf is also made from Warm & Natural batting. It is tied to the side, and is also sprinkled with German glass glitter.
I left his legs the natural stained muslin, and inserted twigs for the bottom portion. Another small sprinkling of German glass glitter, where the twigs meet muslin.
His face has two small black beads sunken as his eyes. I used acrylic paint to do his nose, mouth and eyebrows, and oil pastel to blush his cheeks.
Yep....more glass glitter on his nose and cheeks, to give him a wonderful frosty glow!
I made his LET IT SNOW blocks from painted and sanded pine.

They have been sealed to prevent fading or smearing.

In his arm, he holds a small evergreen, which I made from muslin, then painted and applied German Glass Glitter.
Small glass marbles and a string of sequins adorn his Christmas tree.

He has a stained raffia tied hang tag, which has been pinned to his sleeve.
