$95.00
If you are looking for a nice alternative to silver and gold, look no further!

I made each and every one of the twenty three beads on this necklace from branches found (on the ground) in my Portland Oregon neighborhood. I know for sure there are a few pieces of cedar and pine, but other than that I cannot be completely sure of the rest. (I really need to start tagging my branches better!)

The beads are strung on hand dyed silk ribbon in gorgeous hades of blue, red and purple. It is 40 inches long at the knot. The necklace can also be worn doubled. It is very light weight and comfortable.

If you like this necklace, please check out my Etsy shop for other wood and stone pieces. Thanks!

$27.50
A very earthy piece indeed! I love this rock for all its imperfections. It is not quite diamond shaped, one inch long and almost ¾ inch at its widest point. Hard to describe the colors but tones of black green and beige all work well on the black leather cording.

I found the stone along the Oregon coast and brought it home to Portland where it tumbled its way to its present size and shape.

The wood beads are made by yours truly. Cut from the center of an Oregon cedar tree branch, drilled and sanded by hand. Quite remarkable!

The head opening is 17 inches with a toggle style clasp.

If you like this necklace, but it isn't quite the right color, size or shape, please visit my Etsy shop for others.
It measures exactly one inch in length and 7/10ths inches at its widest point.

I made the beads from a tree branch I found in my Portland neighborhood. The wood is very interesting with its dark area'as.

Strung on black leather cord there is 16 inches for neck room as this one is meant to wear up close. Please specify if you need a longer size.

I love the way it came out, it is so earthy looking.

The stone measures a bit over one inch all the way around.

I also made the two beads out of a fallen branch off a Monkey Tree that stands tall and proud in my neighborhood. The tree is over 100 years old! There was no drilling involved on the bead closest to the stone, as the branch was hollowed out already. I did drill the one at the end, which acts as a toggle clasp.

The stone hangs from brown leather cord that has 19 inches of neck room.
The design goes all the way around, front, back and sides of each piece.

The heart bead is a tad longer than 1 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. The two smaller beads are 7/8 inches long and 1/2 wide and deep.

They are strung, bolero style, on a piece of silk ribbon which is hand dyed in earthy brown, gold and green tones.

To keep the wood looking its best you will need to carefully apply a little bit of oil on it every now and then.

Ribbon measures approximately 30 inches end to end.

Very simple and no fuss.

I found these two stones on the Oregon coast and took them home to Portland for the tumbling process. One is chert and I believe the other is jasper.

I made the wood bead myself out of a tree branch. I only did a bit of sanding on the back to smooth it out a bit, but mostly it really does just look like a tree branch.

The two stones are aout the size of a penny.

Brown leather cording is 30 inches tip to tip.

A great gift for mom on her day!

Please check out my Etsy shop for other wood and stone pieces, including modern day bolero's.

This stone is polished and wonderful to use as a worry stone.

I made the two beads out of a cedar tree branch found in my neighborhood. (Don’t worry, it was on the ground!)

This stone is a large, measuring 2 inches long and 7/8 inches at its widest point.

Strung on brown leather cording, this style is adjustable up to 28 inches in length.

Note: The last photo is the back side of the stone.
Brass snaps.

All three stones were plucked off the Oregon coast by yours truly, then tumbled and polished and drilled. They are attached via a piece of fine leather cord via existing holes in the leather. This piece is very lightweight and comfortable.

This will probably look even better with age, unlike me!

I used to love to pop those heat bubbles with a stick. I guess they don't use tar to patch streets too much these days because I can't recall the last time I've seen such a thing. Still, if I saw it today I think I would have an irresistible urge to find a stick. Anyway, this pendant reminds me of those dog days of summer.

Plucked from the Oregon beach I brought this rock back home to Portland for the tumbling process. The hole is drilled out with a diamond coring bit. This stone is polished with a satin finish.

I made the two beads out of a cedar tree branch found on the ground in my neighborhood.

This stone measures 1 inch long and 1.25 inches wide.

Strung on natural leather cording, this style is adjustable up to 26 inches in length.

Note: The last photo is the back side of the stone.
The hole is drilled out with a diamond coring bit. This stone is polished and silky smooth.

I made the two beads out of a cedar tree branch found on the ground in my neighborhood.

This stone measures 1.25 inches long and ¾ inches wide.

Strung on natural leather cording, this style is adjustable up to 27 inches in length.

Note: The last photo is the back side of the stone.
After four weeks of tumbling and polishing it shrunk a bit, but is the perfect size for a pendant. (approx 1.25 in diameter)

Here I've drilled out two holes and selected black suede, which I've double strung, to bring out the wonderful lined tones of the beads, which I've also made myself from a piece of driftwood.

This style is adjustable up about 29 inches.

In its final state it is only one inch at its widest point and a bit less than that lengthwise.

The wood beads are made by yours truly. Cut from the center of an Oregon pine tree branch, drilled and sanded by hand.

Strung on tan leather cording with a head opening of 16 inches. I included the third photo to show how the bead can move freely, so if you are one for fiddling this necklace is the ticket.

I made the beads from a branch of a Monkey Tree which stands quite tall and proud in my Portland neighborhood. It is feminine stone due to the wonderful pinks and maroons running throughout. It is highly polished and feels great against the skin.

The stone measures nearly 1.5 inches long and a bit less than half an inch at its widest point. It is strung on a tan leather cord.

I also made the two beads out of the inside of a piece of driftwood. The wood is wonderfully streaked with black and almost looks like someone took a black sharpy pen to it in places.

This necklace is currently 22 inches long, but I can size it for you before shipping. I prefer them with the stone worn up close to the neck, but some like them long.

NOTE: The last photo depicts the back side of the stone.
The center piece is a wonderful off white and stony grey and works nicely with the mossy green speckled jasper stacked atop. Rocks are approximately 1 inch in diameter.

A departure from my usual leather and wood, I've strung this on hand dyed silk instead. The wonderful green, maroon and mustard shades work nicely with the two stones. I've used brass findings ever few inches.

This piece is loosely knotted at the end with 25 inches for head room, but can easily be re-knotted to suit your own style.

Last photo depicts the back of the stone. NOTE: It may appear that this rock is chipped on the bottom, but it's not, it is isn't quite as smooth as the rest of the stone.

Unfortunately I can’t identify what kind of a tree it came from for sure but I believe it might be a poplar tree.

I sawed the branch as thin as I could, drilled two holes in each, sanded and then oiled them. The heart of the wood is just beautiful like a little five pointed star. The wafers are the size of a nickel.

There are nineteen beads in all and I’ve double strung them on hand dyed silk which is a gorgeous earthy green, brown and blue. It's amazing to me that a tree that I consider to be unattractive on the outside, could have such beautiful wood on the inside. (It's hawthorne by the way.)

I made all of the fifteen beads on this necklace from a single branch that I found lying on the ground in my neighborhood.
They have been hand strung on hand dyed silk that has the most beautiful shades of blue and red.

This is a double strand style with the last bead acting as a toggle style closure. The shortest strand allows for 15 inches of neck room
I left the bark on because it seemed more interesting that way. I've strung them on doubled rayon ribbon that I dyed which came out in shades of yellow, green, peach and tan. It's a very earthy piece!

The last bead acts as a toggle. It is approximately 23 inches in length.

That said, I cannot positively tell you that it is actually ash wood because my neighborhood is heavily lined with all types of trees which is lucky for me!

I have strung all these beauties on Rayon ribbon that I hand dyed in beautiful shades of pink, blue, green and lavender.

This is a double strand style with the last bead acting as a toggle style closure. The shortest strand allows for 15 inches of neck room. It cannot be shortened or lengthened, however if you are interested I may have something similar in stock in a different length.
I made the beads from an old hawthorn tree branch found in my neighborhood.

Strung on tan leather cord with the end bead acting as a toggle clasp. There is approximately 18 inches of neck room.

Very flattering.

Please visit my Etsy shop for other stone and wood pieces.

It reminds me of what is at the bottom of your bowl when you are done with your vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce.

The stone measures one inch long and 3/4 inch at its widest point. I've strung it on soft brown suede with two beads that I made the wood beads from a tree branch. It is adjustable with approximately 23 inches for head room. Personally I think this piece is most flattering worn up closer to the neckline.

If you like Malt but it is not exactly right, please visit my Etsy shop for other styles, sizes and colors.

Bean - SALE item

$10.00
From my Petite Line.

*Note this piece should be purchased for someone with a small head! There is 23 inches to slip over the head.

I love the bean like shape of this rock. As with all of my stones, I found this one along the Oregon coast and took it home to Portland for the tumbling process. It is lovely, spotted with browns and tans – very earthy. Strung on purple leather cording which sets off the colors nicely. It is about the size of a dime measuring ¾ inch at its widest and ½ inch tall.

All of the beads I use in my pieces are hand made by yours truly. These particular beads I believe are from an Ash tree.

Again, the length is adjustable up to 23 inches, but looks best drawn up to the base of the neck, which also prevents twisting.
