Using a simple design by Needl'l Love,
I have appliqued wool shapes of a woodland tree,
stars and penny circles to a soft black wool
background using a buttonhole
stitch with cotton floss.

The design is attached to a striped flannel
homespun stocking, lined with the same pattern,
and a black grosgrain loop sewn to corner for hanging.

Made of soft fur fabric,
gently aged and scented,
resembling the color of "cashews".

Filled with a generous scoop
of sweet smelling Lavender.

Dressed in red/blue homespun
with blue tinsel accents,
a tulle underskirt,
and bow on the back skirt.

Vintage broach with sparkly blue stones,
clipped to her bow
attached next to her right ear.

Blue glass eyes with dark brown
roving felted around for emphasis.

Nose is needled felted with
dark brown wool roving.

Rusty Star choker secured around
her neck with a wire.

About 17" tall
Almost 11" tall when sitting
approximately 8-1/2" wide.

Hang Tag stamped with a Liberty theme

Made of aged and scented muslin
Painted eyes, and appliqued nose
Sissel twine for hair,
topped with an Osnagberg hat.

Aged and scented cheesecloth
for neckerchief and secures
a wisp of sweet annie on the brim.

Overalls made of homespun,
secured with rusty bells
on the straps and 2 bottom corners.
Sweet Annie stuffed in his pocket.

This stumpy scarecrow sits
12" tall by 7.5" wide
Signed and dated

Sherman was originally created using a
Sweat Meadows Farm pattern,
but Sherman insisted that he
wanted to be a stump doll instead.
