I got this gorgeous Graveyard Point Plume Agate from Blue Heron Gems, and kept it for quite a while, trying to decide what to do with it. It is truly spectacular, and looks like an undersea landscape. I finally settled on a design that is reminiscent of the sea, to somewhat mimic the designs in the stone.

The cabochon was set in a handmade fine silver bezel, soldered to a sterling silver sheet, which has been sawed out around it in the general shape of a seashell. Some radiating lines have been stamped into it. I sawed a window out of the back side of the pendant, to allow you to see all the way through the stone.

The pendant has been hung on a double thickness of distressed brown leather cord, secured with sterling spirals, and has been simply braided on one side, and braided with various freshwater pearls on the other side. It is finished with a handmade clasp, and a short length of commercially made sterling extender chain.

I am so inspired by the divine feminine! This week, I made this pendant, which is a version of the basic wire goddess earrings I've been making for a while. She turned out GREAT, She seems to have her own powerful presence!

The stone in this pendant is a mystery stone, I believe it COULD be sodalite, but I'm just not sure, nor was the local gentleman who actually cut the stone. It is a fairly deep blue color, with some lighter blue splotches and specles, and very much reminds me of the pictures you see of the earth from outer space.

To make Her, I used my new silver-smithing skills to form a fine silver bezel setting for the blue stone cabochon. I then formed a sterling wire goddess torso, and where I would usually form the body, instead I wrapped the wire around the bezel, then soldered the whole thing down, with the tops of her arms hanging off the silver sheet to form built-in hangers. After sawing off the excess sheet, I set the stone, oxidized the whole shebang to highlight the details, and hung Her from a coordinating blue cord. I used a couple of asymmetrically placed handmade lampwork beads as punctuation.

The necklace is hooked with a handmade clasp.

This is a gorgeous labradorite ring that I created with lots of love! The labradorite is oval shaped, with LOTS of blue/green and even some pink/orange fire, and set in a handmade bezel. Stamped around the outside of the bezel are the words "MAGICK HAPPENS". The base that the bezel sits on has been randomly stamped with a series of overlapping circles, and a pair of dots has been soldered on for 3D interest.

The band has been made adjustable, so that it will fit a wider range of fingers, as well as so that it will fit people like me, who have fingers that swell in the heat or with arthritis. The outside of the band has been stamped with stars, and the inside of the band has been stamped with the words "HARM NONE" (as well as a .925 stamp). This ring should fit from approximately size 6.5-10.5.

This ring has been oxidized to highlight all the details and stamping. It will arrive packaged in a white jewelry box.

Another wrapped pendant, inspired by Sharilyn Miller.

This one has a nicely rounded river pebble, a lovely mix of gray/brown, wrapped with pure copper wire. The design the wires make down the front (and back) of the pebble remind me of running water, which is a nice touch. It has been hung on an adjustable length black leather cord.

I think that this necklace could be worn by a woman, but it's also masculine enough, and big enough, that it would look great on a guy.

OK, I admit it. I have a weakness for lampwork beads. I LOVE them! I can't stop myself from buying them...maybe it's an addiction! I'm just so amazed that a real, live person takes rods of colored glass and heats it up with a torch until it's molten, and makes gorgeous beads out of it! It's so fascinating!

And as much as I don't want to share, it's a lesson I learned very young, so I'm sharing some of my favorite beads with you. I've showcased them as simple earrings, put together with sterling silver wire. I've made all of the metal components myself, including the earwires.

This particular pair of earrings has my version of an elongated leaf-type earwire, finished with a pretty scroll on the front. A beautiful set of lampwork beads dangles from them. These beads remind me of a watercolor painting of a hydrangea bush. The base color of the bead is a pale ivory, with splotches of pink and purple. Very feminine.

When I think of Gothic, the first thing that comes to mind is Edgar Allen Poe. These two poems have been the inspiration for this piece of jewelry. This piece was created to be my interpretation of the theme, Gothic Bride, as part of the Wire Artisan's Guild weekly theme challenge.

This necklace is intended to be a very versatile addition to your jewelry collection. All of the silver has been heavily oxidized with natural methods (not involving any harsh chemicals and the like, only all natural eggs), to add to the beauty and "dark and gothic" feeling of this piece of jewelry.

The main piece is a very ornate, wire wrapped Celtic Cross, decorated very tiny garnets. There are approximately 90 small, round, smooth garnets decorating the outside perimeter of the cross and the pendant holder, and approximately 45 small faceted garnets, which decorate the center of the cross, as well as the links of the necklace.

Included is a beautifully handcrafted necklace. The 30 garnet adorned links of the necklace were handmade by me. The swirling clasp was also meticulously handmade by me. Hanging from the center front of the necklace is a swirling design which is decorated with tiny garnets. This swirl serves the very important job of safely holding on to the pendant.

With this piece you will also receive a length of hand dyed black silk ribbon.

Therefore, this set can be used in four different ways. You can choose to wear just the silver and garnet necklace. You could wear the necklace with the beautiful ornate cross hanging from it. You can wear the cross dangling from the length of silk ribbon, tied around your neck, or you can just wear the silk ribbon, with no adornment. Any of those choices would be gorgeous, and will take you from casual to formal occasions.

This necklace was created as part of a theme challenge with the Wire Artisan's Guild, to the theme of "Blue Moon". A blue moon is popularly described as "the second full moon in a month. I took as my inspiration the most memorable blue moon I've ever had, which was several years ago, on Halloween. It was also a Hunter's Moon (the first full moon after the harvest moon, which is the full moon nearest the autumn equinox), and on top of that it was one of those awesome, HUGE orange moons. So I've created a necklace, showing a bare-limbed, autumn tree, with a large, orange moon, seen through the limbs.

All of the metal is sterling silver, the tiny orange beads that make up the moon are hessonite garnet. I've antiqued the whole piece, then polished polished it to highlight all of the intricate wire-work. The pendant is hung on an adjustable length black leather cord.

The circular pendant is 4 cm across, so just over 1 1/2".

These simple sterling silver spiral earrings are great! I've formed them into a simple nautilus shell shape, and gently hammered them to add texture and strength. They've been embellished with wire and gemstones...in this case, faceted labradorite rondelles along the front of the spiral. I've also antiqued this particular pair, and then lightly polished the high points, to highlight the wirework, and to give them a more "ancient" look.

This is a very earthy, primitive look. Sure to go with anything.

This is a gorgeous, yet fully functional vessel necklace. It is a collaboration between myself and my friend Alyssa (http://www.thefuzzylizard.com). She has the glass talent, and kindly provided one of her vessels. So, after I pondered it for quite a while, and re-did it twice, I finally arrived upon this design.

I have wrapped the deep blue vessel itself in 20g sterling wire, which is itself wrapped with teeny tiny 28g sterling wire. I formed handles for the vessel from this wire, then added a decorative rosette to the front. The cork is a very dense high grade cork, meant for liquid use. So, while you could limit yourself to storing fairy dust in it, you could also use it for a precious perfume that you don't want to be without. I've decorated the top of the cork with a corrugated sterling bead, and attached it to the handle of the vessel with a fine sterling chain so that you won't lose it while you're dabbing on perfume or sprinkling your fairy dust.

The vessel is attached to the sturdiest chain I've ever made, constructed from sterling silver, and closing with a hand wrought clasp.

This particular pair of earrings has my version of a "safety" kidney wire, which latches in the back so that they won't fall out. A beautiful set of lampwork beads dangles from them. The beads have a base color of a rich, chocolaty brown, an equator of a light tan color, and little turquoise dots around the equator. There are also a couple of small dots of melted fine silver swirling around in there, to add a little bit of metallic, sparkly interest.

My oldest son went to the beach (Lincoln City, OR) and found this great pebble. He thought I should make some jewelry with it, so I did! The pebble is a semi-translucent white-ish stone. I turned it into a ring...a fairly large ring, not for the faint of heart!

The setting for this ring is fine silver and sterling silver. The pebble has been set into a bezel, and stamped around the outside of the bezel are the words "DREAMER IN THE SAND" which are part of the lyrics to the Heart song, Soul of the Sea. I've sawed out the base of the bezel in a randomly scalloped pattern. The band of the ring has been stamped with overlapping circles, and is adjustable. It will fit from about a size 7 to a size 11. Just let me know what size you are and I will reshape it before sending.

Copper wrapped vintage pottery shard pendant

My children found this awesome pottery shard while digging on our property. I cleaned it up and wrapped it with copper wire to make a unique up-cycled pendant. It hangs on an adjustable length black leather cord.

This earring shape has been around for thousands of years. I've modified the basic shape by making a more open spiral, and embellishing the spiral with more wire and gemstones...in this case, long, white stick pearls. I've also antiqued this particular pair, and then lightly polished the high points, to highlight the wirework, and to give them a more "ancient" look.

This is a very earthy, primitive look. This style of earring is now my absolute favorite, I have a pair to match every outfit, and I get TONS of compliments on them.

This is a mysterious, one-of-a-kind ring. Not for the faint of heart, this is a BIG ring, and makes a bold statement. It is made from antiqued (oxidized) sterling silver, which has been polished to highlight the texture.

The ring shank is comprised of three strands of thicker gauge sterling wire which has been hand woven together with hair thin sterling silver wire. The ends of the ring shank have themselves been twisted, coiled, and woven together around a faceted pearl to form the top of the ring. Woven into the twists and coils are tons of faceted garnets of various sizes, and teeny tiny white seed pearls.

This ring is asymmetrical, with the coils and etc trailing down one side of the ring about halfway.

This ring is approximately a size 6 1/2 on my ring mandrel. Since it is woven together, not soldered, it does have a tiny bit of give, and therefore can fit over slightly larger knuckles.

This bracelet was created to help express the pirate in you! And, as a bonus, it comes with a matching pair of earrings!

It was created by coiling and coiling and coiling 10 feet (120 inches!) of thin, 26g sterling silver wire onto another, thicker, 20g sterling wire. Then THAT was coiled into a bead. Then I made a matching bead, and threaded those beads, along with a beautiful lampwork bead (made by marshalljodie.etsy.com), and some matching red glass beads, onto another length of heavier sterling wire. The resulting piece was shaped into a cuff style bracelet, and a hand forged clasp was attached to one side. A length of handmade sterling chain with glass beads was attached to the other side, with a swirly dangle at the end.

I then made a matching set of earrings, which hangs from a beautifully hand wrought pair of earrwires.

This set was NOT oxidized, though if you like the oxidized look, I can easily, at no extra charge, oxidize it for you.

This bracelet will fit a variety of sizes. From a very small wrist (it fits my 9 yo daughter), all the way up to approximately a 7 1/2" wrist.

Five long (stick style) freshwater pearls have been wired onto an elegant sterling silver scroll. The shape is very fern-like. The scroll is wired onto an elongated rollo chain with a hand fabricated sterling silver and tiny freshwater pearl link. The clasp is a hand forged S-link, and there is a 2" extender chain (with a great cluster of tiny pearls hanging from it), to make the length adjustable. This item has been antiqued and then polished, to highlight the details.

This bracelet is made from a daisy that I hand formed out of fine silver that I fused together, then hammered for strength. The daisy is decorated with a labradorite briolette center, surrounded by tiny labradorite beads. A handmade sterling silver and labradorite rondelle chain completes the circle, finished by a hand forged clasp, that attaches to the daisy. It has been oxidized and polished to highlight the details.

This is my entry to the Wire Artisan's Guild "Magic" theme challenge. It is inspired by my husband, who is a rabid Magic the Gathering player. The Black Lotus is one of the rarest (if not the rarest) cards that exists. This is my interpretation.

The necklace is completely handmade. The metal is all sterling silver. The lotus pendant was carefully formed into the lotus shape, then hammered for strength and durability. I carefully wired and wove glass beads onto it with ultra thin sterling silver wire. At the top of the lotus I have attached a purple/blue goldstone briolette. The pendant hangs from a 100% handmade sterling chain, decorated with matching glass beads, and closes with a beautiful handmade S-clasp.

It hangs beautifully on the neck, and catches the light and sparkles with every movement. The lotus itself measures 3" across and 2 3/4" tall. The necklace, including the clasp, is 18 1/4".

Handcrafted copper swirl bee bracelet - ooak

This is a handcrafted, very unique, wire wrapped bracelet. It is a little bit larger, so will be great for those people who have somewhat larger hands or wrists. It's total length is 8 1/4". I have a 7 1/2" wrist, and it fits great, maybe a tad loose. This bracelet has a central medallion of amber colored glass, which reminded me of honey, or a beehive. There is a bee buzzing toward it from either side, followed by swirls, which signify the bee's movements. Each link is well wrapped, which means that is should be very secure. There are also green raku-type glass beads scattered around the length of the bracelet. The clasp is a work of art in and of itself, and is very large and easy to hook.

This cuff/bangle style bracelet is my entry for this week's Wire Artisan's Guild theme challenge: Circles and Squares. For more info on the Wire Artisan's Guild, see my announcements section.

It was created by coiling and coiling and coiling 10 feet (120 inches!) of thin, 28g sterling silver wire onto another, thicker, 20g sterling wire. Then THAT was coiled into a bead. Then I made a matching bead, and threaded those beads, along with a beautiful lampwork bead and two red CZ beads, onto another length of sterling wire. The resulting piece was shaped into a cuff style bracelet, and a hand forged clasp was attached to one side. A 2 1/4" length heavy sterling chain was attached to the other side, with a swirly dangle at the end.

The whole piece is carefully checked for pointy ends, which are filed down. Then it is oxidized using only hard boiled eggs, to avoid the harsh chemicals that are sometimes used. The oxidizing process turns all of the sterling silver very dark. I then take a polishing cloth and polish the exposed areas, making them bright and silvery, and leaving the inner, less accessible areas dark. This results in highlighting all of the coiling that went into this bracelet.

This bracelet will fit a variety of sizes. From a very small wrist (it fits my 9 yo daughter), all the way up to approximately a 7 1/2" wrist. The lampwork bead that was used is 1/2" x 5/8", to give you an idea of it's size.
