From a San Francisco estate is this gorgeous amethyst purple 100% cashmere mock turtleneck by luxury retailer Neiman Marcus - circa 1980s.

The color is a rich amethyst purple best shown in the label closeup photograph.

Gorgeous thick cashmere - at least two ply - possibly more is fashioned into a classic mock turtleneck pullover sweater with wrist length sleeves. The longer length perfect for cold weather.

Pullover style which buttons up the back with four amethyst purple flat lucite buttons. Ribbed collar, cuffs and sweater bottom as pictured.

Designer Label -- "Neiman Marcus" "Made in Hong Kong" "100% Cashmere".

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition with no issues at all ~ No loose threads, pills, stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, or tears.

Gently worn and very well cared for.

Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

"Carrie Marcus Neiman and Al Neiman, along with Mrs. Neiman's brother, Herbert Marcus, founded Neiman Marcus in 1907. The first store was in downtown Dallas, Texas. From the beginning the goal of the trio was to establish a store in which customer service was unsurpassed. "It's never a good sale for Neiman Marcus," Herbert Marcus said, "unless it's a good buy for the customer."

In 1925, son Stanley Marcus began working at Neiman Marcus. It was Stanley who developed the image of Neiman Marcus as a luxury department store. He started the tradition of having in-house fashion shows, and beginning in 1938, established the Neiman Marcus Award for Excellance in Fashion. Stanley Marcus became the president of Neiman Marcus in 1950. The following year, in the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalogue, the store started what has become one of their most famous features - the addition of unusual and very extravagant gifts. Vintage 50s 60s Designer Couture MAD MEN 3-D Hand Embroidered Trapunto Angora Lambswool Cardigan Sweater --Bust 37 -- Size S -- M

From a San Francisco estate is this stunning vintage variegated silver grey hand embroidered angora/lambswool blend cardigan sweater - circa late 1950s or early 1960s Mad Men era.

I saw Betty Draper wearing a similar cardigan in a recent episode of the Mad Men show.

Please take a look at the enlarged versions of the photographs to get an idea of the beauty and workmanship of this fabulous sweater.

This beautiful sweater features hand embroidered cherries (apples??) padded with cotton for a 3-D trapunto effect. Each cherry is accented with lovely hand embroidered satin stitches and french knots as pictured. These cherries wrap around the entire collar and down both sides of the front. The sleeve ends are also accented with one cherry each.

All edges of the sweater - including the entire neckline, both front sides, around the bottom and the sleeve ends are accented with silver grey silk satin trim accented with a row of darker silver grey silk satin piping as pictured.

There are small finished slits on each side of the sweater which can be worn open or closed with hook and eye fasteners.

Fastens down the center front with seven hidden hook and eye fasteners.

The body of the sweater is lined with silver grey silk - the sleeves are unlined. Both front plackets are backed with grosgrain ribbon (hidden inside the lining) for stability.

Designer Label -- "Mohan's Ltd - 14-16 Hankow Road Kowloon, Hong Kong"

There is no fabric content label but I have handled hundreds of these sweaters and guarantee that this is an angora lambswool blend as it is very soft.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition with no issues at all ~ No loose threads, pills, stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, or tears. All embroidery is present and complete. The only thing is two tiny repairs to the silk lining which are not visible from the outside.

Gently worn and very well cared for.

Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

I'd say this lovely sweater would fit a small to medium best, but please go by the measurements below.

From a San Francisco estate is this stunning vintage creme/ivory hand beaded lambswool/angora blend cardigan sweater - circa late 1950s or early 1960s Mad Men era.

This beautiful sweater is hand beaded with clear glass beads sewn on with colored threads in red, amethyst purple, pale yellow, and pink accented with green leaves and faux pearls as pictured. The beadwork is done on each side of the front and at the center back shoulder area as pictured. The beaded areas are backed with light cotton cheesecloth for stability which is a sign of a quality sweater.

The edges of the sweater - including the entire neckline, both front sides, around the bottom and the sleeve ends are accented with two rows of zig zag clear glass beads sewn on with the same green thread as the leaves.

Fastens down the center front with seven hidden hook and eye fasteners.

The body of the sweater is lined with white silk - the sleeves are unlined. Both front plackets are backed with white grosgrain ribbon for stability.

The designer's label is no longer present. I have handled hundreds of these sweaters and guarantee that this is mid-century late 50s to early 60s Hong Kong beadwork.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition with no issues at all ~ No loose threads, pills, stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, or tears. All beadwork is present and complete.

The boots are new old stock meaning they have never been worn.

Beautifully made of high quality matte finish black leather with a 1" tall stacked heel.

Pull on style ~ no zipper or buttons. Unlined.

Stamped "Chaps II Size 7 M in gold inside. Also stamped "Points West" on the bottom insole.

The bottom sole of the right boot is stamped "Made in Brazil Leather Upper - 7M".

From Catseye Vintage is this fabulous knit halter ankle length metallic lurex knit dress by Empire of Hong Kong, circa early 1960s.

Please take a look at the enlarged versions of the photographs to get an idea of the beauty and workmanship of this dress.

Gorgeous pinkish copper flat knit in what Crayola crayons calls "burnt sienna" shot through with pink metallic thread. The fabric content is labeled 35% metallic thread and 65% polyester.

One piece ankle length dress -- ribbed knit bodice stretches to fit like a glove with the skirt being a stretchy smooth flat knit as pictured.

Halter styling with a plunging square back -- fastens in the back of the neck with two self-covered domed buttons.

Designer Label ~ Empress - Made in Hong Kong. The early 1960s Hong Kong knitwear craftsmen were known to be the best in the world at the time.

CONDITION:

Near mint with no issues at all ~ No stains, odors, snags, discoloration, fading, broken or lose threads, or holes. Appears to have been rarely, if ever worn.

The dress has been hemmed at some time in it's life ~ there is a 1-3/4" turned under hem if you need a little longer length.

Professionally cleaned and ready to wear.

I'd say this dress would fit a modern extra small to small best based on the measurements below.

From Catseye Vintage is this stunning honey blond or medium taupe genuine leather and faux fur jacket or coat from designer Adolph Schuman (who is the founder of Lilli Ann) for chic high end mid-century San Francisco department store I Magnin. Circa late 1970s or 1980s.

A brief history of I Magnin, Adolph Schuman and Lilli Ann is below.

The coat is constructed of honey blond or medium taupe fluffy faux fur accented with a detachable genuine leather belt as pictured.

A-line princess shape wrap coat with no fasteners or shoulder pads.

There are two hip level 5" long pockets hidden in the side seams.

Completely lined with coordinating coat weight taupe satin acetate.

CONDITION:

Near Mint ~ the outside of the coat is immaculate with no stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, snags, holes, or tears.

The lining is in excellent condition with no stains, rips, tears or other issues.

The coat is very plush with no signs of dryness, bald spots or loose areas.

"Max Cohen, better known as Mr. Dino, started the business in the late fifties in a small warehouse in Miami and from there he built a huge factory in Miami where all the clothing was manufactured. He designed every print on every garment. He actually invented the silk screening machine that was used to screen the print onto the fabric. Often compared to Emilio Pucci, Mr. Dino was recognized and known for his own unique designs. In the late sixties, Mr. Dino sold out to US Industries and remained CEO of the company. After he retired, he started another business called St. Maxime. St. Maxime was a bathing suit line with the same kind of prints as Mr. Dino. As he was starting this new business, he and his family sat around the dinner table thinking of names. Everyone put names in a hat. From a San Francisco estate is this wonderful demi-parure consisting of a necklace, bracelet and earrings by well regarded jewelry company Napier. Circa 1980s.

The choker length necklace falls right between the hollow of your throat and features white lucite beads alternating with goldtone lucite beads with a center front gold tone metal medallion in shades of enameled pink and white as pictured.

The back of the medallion is signed "Napier" and the foldover clasp is signed "Napier ~ Patent Pending".

The matching bracelet features alternating pink, white and goldtone lucite beads as pictured. The bracelet is strung on strong elastic cord and slips on and off the wrist with no fasteners.

The enameled gold tone metal earrings match the necklace medallion as pictured. Post back for pierced ears. They are signed "Napier" as well.

This dress is gorgeous ~ beautiful blue on emerald green silk brocade fabric is worked into a classic dress with a fitted bodice and full flaring skirt accented with a decorative bow at the waist as pictured.

Gorgeous darted and sculptured bodice with spaghetti straps accented with a decorative horizontal pleat at the back as pictured.

The bodice is a double layer of silk brocade with front and back boning for a firm fit. Triple skirted with two interior skirts of green tulle.

Well working 13" center back nylon zipper.

Classic New Look styling with beautifully fitted bodice, nipped waist and full flaring skirt with a 76" bottom sweep.

From a San Francisco estate is this stunning copper Egyptian Revival Fringe mid century modern necklace from Renoir, circa 1946-early 1950s.

Signed Renoir in script without a (c) mark in two places -- the foldover clasp and on the back of the last plaque. The Renoir signature without a copyright mark dates this piece to the late 1940s or early 1950s.

This lovely necklace is in excellent condition with overall light surface wear scratches and a bit of black oxidation on the back consistent with it's age.

Measures aproximately 13-1/2" long end to end and 1" tall.

This piece is quite substantial and heavier than the later Renoir necklaces.

This is a beautiful necklace which would be a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage Renoir or copper jewelry.

From a San Francisco estate is this stunning copper leaves mid century modern necklace from Renoir, circa 1955 - 1964.

This lovely necklace is in excellent condition with a bit of black oxidation on the backs consistent with it's age.

The leaf section of the necklace measures 13" with an additional 4-1/2" chain. Fastens with a "j" hook which is signed with Renoir in script and a copyright mark.

This is a beautiful necklace which would be a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage Renoir or copper jewelry.

From a San Francisco estate is this stunning mid century abstract pendant and original chain - the pendant can also be worn as a brooch. By Sarah Coventry jewelry, circa 1960s or 1970s. A brief history of Sarah Coventry is below.

Oversized pendant features an raised abstract geometric design on a brushed goldtone background with a goldtone metal twisted rope bezel.

The original 33" long chunky goldtone chain can be removed at the bale and worn with other pendants.

This piece can also be worn as a brooch without the chain.

The necklace drop is 16-1/2". The pendant is approximately 3" tall x 2" wide.

Marked "Sarah Cov" on the backside of the pendant as pictured.

CONDITION ~

Near Mint ~ no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, or other issues. Appears to have been rarely, if ever, worn.

From a San Francisco estate is this unopened mint in package pair of sheer nylon seamless stockings. Circa 1960s or early 1970s.

I have never seen Schiaparelli girdle stockings before - according to the package these give a smooth flat look when worn with self-holding leg band girdles without hooks, snaps, or fasteners.

Tagged "Sheer Girdle Stockings". Size Tall - Color - Spun Sugar.

New in package in Schiaparelli's signature shocking pink and white packaging with the original unopened plastic overwrap.

Stocking and cardboard packing are MINT. The plastic overwrap is in excellent condition with a few minor surface storage marks as pictured. Has never been opened.

A rare find - perfect for the collector or anyone who wears high quality vintage nylon stockings.

Vintage 50s 60s Designer CORO Jade Green Thermoset Lucite Necklace and Earrings Demi Parure Set

From a San Francisco estate is this stunning deep jade green thermoset lucite necklace and matching earrings. By Coro jewelry, circa 1950s or early 1960s. A brief history of Coro is below.

This set is beautiful - stunning abstract triangular striated deep jade green thermoset lucite cabachons are set in textured gold tone metal made to look leaves accented with faux pearls as pictured.

The necklace is approximately 16-1/2" long end to end. Each individual cabachon is approximately 1-1/4" long x 3/4" tall (including goldtone metal setting). The earrings are approximately 1-1/2" tall x 1" wide (including the setting).

The necklace fastens with a J-hook marked with the Coro signature. The clip on earrings are also marked Coro.

CONDITION ~

Near Mint ~ no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, missing faux pearls or other issues. Appears to have been rarely, if ever, worn.

This is a beautiful set and a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage Coro or thermoset lucite jewelry.
Would be a special gift for a close friend or loved one.

It is very difficult to find thermoset lucite pieces in dark jade green as most Coro pieces were made in pastel colors.

From Catseye Vintage is this exquisite 100% Pure Camel Hair women's topcoat ~ circa late 1970s inspired by the chic1940s.

This coat is beautiful ~ gorgeous medium-weight 100% camel hair fabric ~ inspired by the wonderful swing styles of the 1940s.

Full flaring coat with rounded collar and split front and back yokes as pictured. Buttons down center front with seven 1" flat striated camel colored lucite buttons ~ the wrist length cuffed sleeves fasten with matching buttons as pictured.

The beautiful couture style bound buttonholes are found only in the highest quality clothes.

The coat is very full and drapes beautifully in the back as pictured. There are two deep front slash pockets as pictured.

Lined with beautiful coordinating camel colored silky fabric ~ probably acetate.

Designer label ~ "100% Camel Hair ~ Professionally Dry Clean Only". There is also a red, white and blue ILGWU label.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition with no issues ~ No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, snags, thin areas, or tears.

Gently worn and very well cared for.

From Catseye Vintage is this fabulous poly jersey deep black Grecian style cocktail party dress. By Frederick's of Hollywood, circa mid-1970s. A brief history of Frederick's is below.

Please take a look at the enlarged versions of the photographs to get an idea of the beauty and workmanship of this dress.

Double layered ruched fitted empire bodice is embellished with six dangling black jersey knit decorative cords as pictured. There are also four horizontal rows of matching black jersey cords which are sewn to the center front directly beneath the bodice and wrap around to the dress back as pictured.

The skirt is sewn to the empire bodice and gently skims the body through the waist and hips.

Spaghetti straps and plunging square back.

Zips up the center back with a well working 9-1/2" nylon zipper.

Designer Label ~ Frederick's of Hollywood pink on white woven label.

The fabric is a high quality lightweight woven polyester stretchy knit which drapes beautifully.

CONDITION:

Near mint with no issues at all ~ No stains, odors, snags, discoloration, fading, or holes. Appears to have been rarely, if ever worn.

Professionally cleaned and ready to wear.

I'd say this dress would fit a modern extra small to small best based on the measurements below.

FREDERICK'S OF HOLLYWOOD

"Frederick's of Hollywood was established in 1946 by Frederick Mellinger. His first store was opened in 1947 on Hollywood Boulevard, and he also sold by mail order. Mellinger intended to bring a sexier look to American lingerie, somewhat along the lines of what he had seen in Europe during the war. His association with Hollywood boosted the image of the company, which in the 1940s was responsible for such lingerie innovations as the padded and push-up bras.

Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Fredericks placed ads in the backs of magazines, and mail order was a very large part of the business. During the 1980s, a move was made to downplay the overt sexy look of the advertising and the lingerie itself, as Frederick's went mainstream and opened up in shopping malls across America." From a San Francisco estate is this UNCUT Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress pattern. Very Easy Vogue American Designer Original Pattern 1549. Circa mid 1970s.

Front-wrapped dress with fitted bodice slightly gathered at the front and tucked at the back into the waistline. Fit and flare skirt with attached tie ends that tie at the side front or center back. Full length sleeves with pointed cuffs and button sleeves. Can be made with or without the pointed collar. The dress can be made in any length from mini to maxi.

CONDITION: Mint Uncut pattern which has never been unfolded. Also present is the original mint condition two page instruction sheet.

The envelope colors are clear and bright with no fading, discoloration, marks, rips, tears, or repairs. The original back flap is still present as pictured.

The only thing is some storage wear to the edges and bottom of the pattern envelope and slight rubbing to the words "Pattern Service" on the lower back.

MEASUREMENTS:

Marked a vintage size 12 which would equate to a modern size XS to Small based on the measurements below.

Bust 34", Waist 26-1/2", Hips 36"

This would be beautiful made into any soft fabric such as wool or cotton jersey, polyester jersey, or soft cotton or silk.

From Catseye Vintage is this fabulous strapless black and hot pink satin evening dress from designer Victor Costa. Circa 1980s.

As indicated by the label, this dress is a Victor Costa "sample" meaning it was a prototype and may be one of a kind.

The bodice of the dress is made of heavy black and hot pink satin worked into alternating sculpted chevron shaped bands as pictured. The bodice is double layered, then lined with stiff white fabric meaning there are three layers of fabric. The bodice is also boned at the sides, front and back for a firm fit.

The long straight skirt is beautifully draped at the dropped waist as pictured. The skirt comes to a tulip shaped hemline with a sexy front walking slit as pictured. the skirt is completely lined with silky soft jet black fabric.

Zips up the center back with a well working 15-1/2" nylon zipper.

Designer label ~ "Victor Costa Sample".

CONDITION:

Near mint with no issues at all ~ No stains, odors, missing threads, discoloration, fading, or holes. Appears to have been rarely, if ever worn.

Professionally dry cleaned and ready to wear.

I'd say this dress would fit a modern extra small to small best based on the measurements below.

"Born 1935 in Texas. Costa sold sketches to Ceil Chapman and Oleg Cassini among others before getting starting in bridal design. He joined Suzy Perette in 1965, where he went to Paris and selected models to copy. He left Perette in 1973 and returned to Texas. There he bought a share of Ann Murray, and was able to buy out and rename the company in 1974.

He produces his own versions of American and French designer clothes in an affordable range, primarily evening wear. His clothes are bright and bold - often patterned or with high contrast. From a San Francisco estate is this charming artist signed sterling silver and green/brown swirl abalone figural sea turtle brooch. Circa 1950s or early 1960s.

This brooch features a primitive style sterling silver dimensional sea turtle with a beautiful (1-1/8" long x 3/4" wide) large bezel set one piece solid cabochon of rich green and brown swirl abalone shell as pictured.

These larger pieces of abalone are very difficult to find ~ most Taxco jewelry uses small chips due to the rarity of the green/brown swirled abalone shell.

Stamped on the back with the Taxco Eagle 3 which indicates this piece was made in Taxco, Mexico sometime from 1948 through 1980, although I date this as an earlier 1950s or early 1960s piece due to the size of the abalone cabochon.

Taxco has been the center of Mexican sterling silver jewelry silversmiths since the early 1940s.

There is an additional circular incised backstamp which reads Taxco Sterling 925 with initials of CP (?) in the center.

This brooch is highly three dimensional as the turtle stands on four legs which are incised with decorative etching as pictured. The tail and head are raised up with an etched face.

Fastens in the back with a safety feature "c" clasp.

Measurements ~

2-1/8" Long ~ Head to Tail 1-1/4" Wide ~ Outside of Left Foot to Outside of Right Foot Abalone Shell Cabochon ~ 1-1/8" long x 3/4" wide

Condition ~

Excellent ~ no cracks, breaks, or other issues.

The back fastener is securely fastened and appears to be original to the piece.

This is a beautiful piece and a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage Taxco sterling silver jewelry or figural turtle broochs. Or this would be a very special gift for a close friend or loved one.

The circular area on the upper left of the cab is part of the shell's pattern and NOT a flaw.

The back fastener is securely fastened and appears to be original to the piece.

This is Darlene's famous Minklam blend of 68% Lambswool; 18% Angora Rabbit Hair; 9% Nylon; and 5% Mink Fiber.

There is self-piping around the neckline, wrist length sleeves and a center back nylon zipper as pictured.

The color is a soft cream or off-white.

Made in U.S.A. Fully Fashioned of Minklam by Darlene. RN 16877.

CONDITION:

New and unworn - with original hang tag. The tag was removed for cleaning, then replaced.

Excellent vintage condition with no issues at all ~ No pills, stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, or tears.

From Catseye Vintage is this wonderfully distressed Wrangler Denim Jean Jacket. Circa early 1960s.

The center front is pleated with embroidered gold dot tacks ~ wonderful zip up front - brass or copper metal "Talon" zipper.

Black Wrangler "Rope" Tag ~ Made in U.S.A.

Two pockets on the chest ~ one of these has a pen slot ~ both have domed copper riveted stud buttons with the Wrangler dotted rope signature.

The back has pleated gussets over the shoulders and down to the waist as pictured.

There are elasticated straps inside as pictured ~ for ease of movement ~ these are still quite stretchy and firmly attached.

Two front slanted side pockets.

Wrangler signed copper stud cuff buttons.

This jacket has the perfect vintage fade and fraying ~ on both cuffs and elsewhere as pictured.

CONDITION:

As stated above, wonderful vintage fade and some fraying as pictured. The buttons and studs are all present and well working. The metal center front zipper works perfectly ~ no oxidation or rust. The jacket is very structurally sound with years of wear left.

From a San Francisco estate is this charming rhinestone and faux pearl embellished gold tone metal pirate's chest brooch with a pendant bale on the reverse side. Circa 1950s or early 1960s.

This highly three dimensional gold tone metal chest is cut on a diagonal giving an appearance of depth. The chest is very detailed with grain in the "wood" as pictured.

The partially open lid is full of multi-color rhinestones and faux pearls which spill down the front of the brooch as pictured.

MEASUREMENTS ~ 1-2/4" Tall x 7/8" Wide

DESIGNER ~ Unsigned but of a very high quality.

Fastens with a well working "safety" c clasp.

Condition ~ Near Mint with no issues. All rhinestones and faux pearls are secure with no scratches, chips or other issues. The faux pearls are perfect ~ the marks in the pictures is merely light reflected by the ruby colored rhinestones. The gold tone metal is in excellent condition with no issues.

The back fastener and the pendant bale are securely fastened and are original to the piece.

A lovely and versatile piece as it can be worn as a brooch or wear it as a pendant with any necklace.

From Catseye Vintage is this beautiful pair of vintage D'Antonio clear plastic rhinestone and gold lame leather shoes dating from the 1950s.

They have a clear plastic vamp instep with a light taupe fabric trim set with pave rhinestones as pictured.

The heels, straps and inside sole are made of gold lame leather as pictured ~the bottom sole is leather.

The right shoe is stamped "D'Antonio New York ~ Custom Elegance" ~ the left shoe is stamped "Frank More ~ Custom Elegance".

These sexy shoes have open toes and adjustable buckle sling back straps.

They are stamped a size 6 1/2 M. The shoes measure 8 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 3 1/2 inch high heels.

Plunging v neckline with sexy lace up center front as pictured.

Built in hard cup black bra with an elastic bottom ~ the bottom is lined with silky black lingerie weight nylon ~ the rest of the suit is unlined.

Fitted suit with three panel front construction and two panel back construction.

The lace up area is backed with black cotton ~ the holes are finished with metal gromlets ~ original black woven lace up cord.

Short boy leg suit bottom.

This coat is beautiful ~ gorgeous heavier weight woven brocade in a dark taupe, light taupe and white textured swirl pattern as pictured.

Lined with deep taupe coat weight satin like fabric - probably acetate.

Full flaring coat with a notched collar and 5-1/2" long hip level pockets hidden in the front princess style seams.

The coat buttons down center front with three 1" high domed decorative buttons as pictured.

No Designer label ~ however there is a 1960s era blue on white union tag in the left side seam.

From Catseye Vintage is this fabulous cotton barkcloth halter maxi dress by Sears Hawaii Fashions ~ circa late 1960s or early 70s.

Vintage Hawaiian beauty - gorgeous medium weight cotton barkcloth overall tropical floral print in rich shades of hot pink, magenta, orange, lime green, purple, blue, navy blue, bubble gum pink and orange as pictured.

Empire Waist halter bodice is doubled layered - the inner layer is a second layer of the same barkcloth ~ can be worn without a bra.

The halter straps have two hidden back buttons ~ can be worn as shown, or criss-cross across the back or tied behind the neck. Plunging square back with hidden cased elastic at the top for a perfect fit.

Long straight skirt with 8-1/4" wide gathered bottom ruffle as pictured.

Zips up the center back with a 11-1/2" nylon zipper.

"Sears of Hawaiian Fashions" designer label. RN 38044.

Sears Hawaiian Fashions were made by in Hawaii by various Hawaiian manufacturers (including Shaheen, Kamehemeha, and Pomare) especially for Sears to be sold in their retail stores in Honolulu and Maui.

From a San Francisco estate is this charming vintage gold tone metal silver metal compact from Stratton of England. The compact comes with the original powder and cloth backed felt bag in it's original presentation box.

The lid has a highly polished raised leaf and floral design on a brushed gold tone background. The inside of the compact is smooth gold tone metal with the original mirror and powder puff. The back is textured gold tone metal.

Comes complete with the original unused powder and powder puff ~ marked Stratton of London.

Marked Pat 764125 on the inside and Stratton England on the back side as pictured.

MEASUREMENT ~ 3-3/8" in Diameter

CONDITION ~ Near Mint with no issues. This compact and the accompanying powder have never been used and were kept in a dresser in the original presentation box as pictured. The mirror is clear with no darkening, chips, scratches or cracks. The hinges and clasp work perfectly and the felt carrying case is in mint unused condition.

There are a few scratches on the powder consistent with it being tested for color. The original presentation box is in excellent condition other than a few surface scruffs as pictured.

Although there are many Stratton compacts around, it is unusual to find one in mint unused condition with it's original unused powder and presentation box.

A charming addition to any Stratton or compact collection. A wonderful gift for a treasured friend or loved one.

From Catseye Vintage is this wonderful gray wool fitted hourglass jacket and skirt suit ~ by David Gaines of California. Circa late 40s or early 50s.

This is a classic 40s/50s suit with the wonderful menswear tailoring and construction quality of the era. The fabric is fabulous high quality medium weight gray wool suiting which is very soft and not itchy or scratchy at all.

Please note the suit is shown clipped on my size 0-2 mannequin and will fit the proper size much better.

This suit features a wonderful hip length princess seamed hourglass jacket with a fitted waist. Unusual curved and notched collar is echoed in the bottom front and fold up sleeve cuffs as pictured.

The jacket buttons up the center front with four 7/8" diameter pewter tone metal raised flower shaped buttons embellished with center rhinestones as pictured. Tailored bound buttonholes.

Padded shoulders and wrist length sleeves with fold up cuffs as pictured.

Four panel construction a-line skirt with darts at the waist for a perfect fit. The 1-1/8" wide waistband fastens with hooks and eyes. The skirt zips up the left side with a well working 6-3/8" metal zipper. There is also a 4" center front kick pleat.

The jacket is completely lined with deep taupe or mauve rayon moss crepe. The skirt is unlined.

Designer Label: "David Gaines California" There is also a store label: "Westbrook Oakland California". There is also a National Coat and Suit Recovery Board tag in the jacket.

These suits were very popular and similar suits were worn by glamorous actresses including Joan Crawford and other well-dressed women of the era.

There are no size tags ~ I'd say this lovely suit would best fit a modern size medium to smallish large, but please go by the measurements below, leaving room for comfort and fit.

From Catseye Vintage is this stunning silver fox fur jacket by Saga Furs. Circa 1980s.

Gorgeous thick and fluffy silver fox fur jacket is constructed of strips of silver fox fur alternating with strips of silver grey suede ~ the thickness of the fur hides the suede panels.

Fastens with two fur hooks which are hidden in the fluffiness of the fur.

Boxy cut with wrist length sleeves ~ no shoulder pads.

Completely lined with medium weight palest silver grey satin ~ both inside front plackets are lined with one inch wide strips of medium silver grey leather.

There is a hidden six inch long interior pocket on the left inside front.

Designer Label ~ "Saga Fox ~ Guarantee of Quality". There is a second label which reads "100% Fox Fur and 100% Bemberg Lining". (Bemberg is a rayon fabric used for linings.)

CONDITION:

Very good vintage condition ~ No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, snags, holes, or tears.

The lining is immaculate with no issues at all.

The coat is very plush with no signs of dryness, bald spots or loose areas.

Beautiful lightweight angora blend.

Premier was a competitor of the Darene Sweater Company and was known for beautiful abstract screenprinted angora blend sweaters.

This sweater is beautiful ~ Stunning abstract floral screenprint in shades of blue and green on an off-white background ~ looks like spider mums. This colorway of greens and blues was very popular in the 1950s and 1960s.

Very high quality and very, very soft, plush, furry and luscious.

Round jewel neckline accented with off-white angora piping ~ 3/4 bracelet length sleeves.

The sweater is unlined. Pullover style with 7" nylon center back zipper.

Designer Label ~ "Premier" ~ "WPL 11501".

Fabric content is 50% Angora Rabbit Hair; 40% Lambswool; 10% Nylon. Very similar to the fiber composition of the coveted Darlene sweaters.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition with no issues at all ~ No loose threads, stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, or tears.

Gently worn and very well cared for.

From Catseye Vintage is this wonderful butter soft leather jacket from designer Luis Alvear. Luis Alvear was sold at Saks and Nordstroms back in the day. Circa 1980s.

This coat is beautiful ~ gorgeous butter soft black leather is cut into a classic bomber style jacket with an 80s twist as pictured.

Padded dropped shoulders with wrist length sleeves with 2" cuffs with snap fasteners embossed with the Luis Alvear name.

Zips down the center front from the top of the collar to the jacket bottom with a heavy duty bronze tone metal zipper.

The collar is lightly padded and is accented with four rows of black topstitching as pictured. The collar can be worn open or standing up as pictured.

There are two front slash pockets (lined with black coat weight cotton).

Wide cased elastic waist for a perfect fit.

The jacket is lined with black satin acetate ~ there is one interior breast pocket.

Designer Label ~ "Luis Alvear".

From Catseye Vintage is a classic Susan Freis full skirted boho gypsy dress in three alternating rich dark floral and geometric fabrics ~ very romantic!

A brief biography of Susan Freis is below.

Please take a look at the enlarged versions of the photographs to get an idea of the beauty and workmanship of this dress.

The pictures appear to be a little light - the true color is best shown in photograph number seven - the closeup of the shoulder/sleeve.

The fabric is a very high quality polyester of a medium weight which drapes beautifully and feels and looks like high quality silk.

The dress features two contrasting ruffled fabric collars around a deep v neckline with matching floral fabric ties with colored bead accents at the ends to tie in a choker bow at the neck or tuck inside the dress.

The bodice is designed to be loose fitting with a smocked elastic waist as pictured. Shoulder pads are easily removable if you prefer. The full elbow length sleeves are gathered at the shoulder and cased elastic at the sleeve end.

The bodice is boned at the front and back for a firm fit.

This coat is beautiful ~ gorgeous butter soft Italian lambskin is cut into a classic hip length jacket as pictured.

The straight boxy shape is lightly pleated at the front yoke as pictured. Comes with original detachable belt.

The center front placket conceals three loop fasteners and buttons as pictured. Two 5-1/4" long front slash pockets as pictured.

Lightly padded shoulders and wrist length sleeves.

The coat is completely lined with beautiful coordinating taupe coat weight fabric ~ probably acetate.

From Catseye Vintage is this wonderful black wool/cashmere blend coat with a mink collar ~ circa early 1960s Jacqueline Kennedy era.

This coat is beautiful ~ gorgeous medium-weight deep black plush wool cashmere blend accented with a rich brown mink collar as pictured.

Please note that the pictures have been lightened to show the details of the coat ~ the color is a deep rich black. Any lighter appearing areas are simply light reflecting off the plush fabric.

A-line shape with two 5-3/4" long front slash pockets as pictured.

The sleeves end at about an inch or so above my wrists ~ the coat is made to wear with gloves.

Buttons down the center front with three 1-3/8" diameter domed self fabric covered buttons. Beautifully tailored buttonholes as pictured.

The 3-3/4" Wide Mink Collar can be worn wedding ring style with a hidden fur hook or open as pictured. The collar is sewn onto the coat and can be removed.

The coat is completely lined with beautiful coordinating black silky coat weight fabric ~ probably acetate.

Designer Label ~ No longer present. There is a blue on white union label as pictured.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition with no issues ~ No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, rubs, thin areas, or tears.

The bodice is darted for a perfect fit ~ there are pleated flanges at the armholes forming short cap sleeves as pictured.

From Catseye Vintage is this fabulous black velvet cocktail dress ~ circa 1970s inspired by the 1940s.

I have lightened photographs one, two and three to show the details. Photographs four and five show the actual deep rich black of the dress. Please note that any light marks are reflections of the light on the velvet and are NOT worn areas or stains.

When I first saw this dress I thought it was one of the wonderful 1940s cocktail dresses, but realized it was made in the 1970s when I saw it has a nylon zipper.

The beautiful dress is cut from deep black silk velvet with a square front and back neckline and fitted bodice and straight skirt. The bodice is accented with a front peplum with a finished slit on the left side. There is an attached self fabric belt and buckle with can be worn fastened in the front or back as shown.

The dress is lined with silky black fabric.

Zips up the center back with a well working 18-1/2" nylon zipper.

There are no labels as this dress was made by a skilled dressmaker or tailor.

CONDITION:

Vintage excellent with no issues at all with the dress or lining ~ No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, or holes.

I'd say this dress would fit a modern medium to large best based on the measurements below.

A brief history of Mr. Blackwell is as follows:

"(1922 - 2008) Born in Brooklyn, NY as Richard Selzer, Mr. Blackwell had an early career as child actor 'Richard Ellis'. He was better known for his annual 'Worst Dressed' lists than his own clothing line. The lists were started in 1960s, and were accompanied with biting commentary on each listee's style. He once noted about a famous actress, " Looks like all the stores in town had a sale - and she bought it all; what's worse, she wore it."

His own designs tended toward the theatrical, using lots of beading and such dramatic details as leopard print and large bows. He began producing clothing in 1958, and his business closed in the 1980s. Prior to retirement, he was featured in advertisements and was a frequent guest on TV talk shows." The fabric is a lovely medium barkcloth ~ gorgeous tropical floral print in navy blue, line green, emerald green, turquoise and white as pictured.

The dress is a basic a-line shape with 3/4 length bell sleeves. There is a 8" long pocket hidden in the right side seam at the hip level.

Zips up the center back with a 16" metal zipper.

The dress was shortened from it's original length with a finished hem.

Designer Label ~ "Aloha Authentic Hawaiian Originals" "Made in Okinawa".

The RN number is RN 30226" which dates this dress to either late 1965 or early 1966.

Wonderful baby blue scarf with charming hand painted pink elephants on two corners ~ one is wide eyed and holding a champagne glass with bubbles and the other elephant is leaning against the champagne glass napping as pictured.

Nice lightweight silk with hand rolled and hand stitched edges.

"A Scarf by Kimball ~ Pure Silk" designer label as pictured.

Condition:

Very Good Vintage Condition ~ No holes, rips, snags, stains, discoloration, or fading. I have examined the elephants carefully and the hand painting is intact with no cracking or fading ~ I see one tiny spot below the wide eyed elephant that I believe is an paint mark from when the piece was originally painted.

The scarf is thin in some areas as pictured ~ the silk is still very strong with lots of wear left.

Measures approximately 32-1/4" x 32-1/4" Square.

From Catseye Vintage is this exquisite reversible tiered and ruffled aqua blue nylon chiffon half slip or skirt ~ Circa 1950s.

Beautiful aqua blue semi-sheer nylon chiffon ~ The waist is gathered at the 1/4" wide elastic waist and two tiered ruffles as pictured. The bottom is embellished with aqua blue embroidery as pictured.

The skirt reverses to an identical three tiered gathered aqua blue chiffon ~ the only difference is the nylon chiffon is a slightly lighter shade of aqua and the bottom is trimmed with a 2-1/2" wide band of aqua blue lace as pictured.

The seaming of both skirts is on the interior making it reversible.

Pull on style with no zipper or buttons.

The label is very faint and different to read ~ says "Formal ~ Made in U.S.A."

CONDITION:

Vintage Excellent ~ no fading, discoloration, stains, rips, tears, holes, snags, picks or odors. All embroidery and lace is complete with no missing threads or other issues.

Beautiful chocolate brown and tan abstract Batik tapa print cotton as pictured.

Long straight dress with a shirttail bottom as pictured.

The dress buttons down the center front from neck to hip with four 3/4" long carved wooden barrel buttons as pictured. There are two large hip level patch pockets.

The cuffed wrist length sleeves are accented with matching buttons (although the sleeve cuffs are stitched together and don't unbutton).

Notched collar as pictured.

DESIGNER LABEL: Just Mort Ltd. There is a red, white and blue ILGWU union label in the side seam (not pictured).

Gorgeous lightweight pink knit shot through with metallic silver lurex threads ~ trimmed with 1-3/4" wide pink crocheted lace around the neckline and down the left side ~ the lace around the neckline is open, while the lace on the left side is lined with pink acetate.

Complete with original belt ~ the dress is unlined other than the left side underneath the lace.

Zips up center back with a nylon zipper.

Designer label ~ "Made in British Colony of Hong Kong". Fabric Content Label ~ "60% Acrylic; 25% Metallic Yarn; and 15% Polyester". Hand Wash Cold ~ Dry Flat.

From Catseye Vintage is this fabulous midnight black lace embellished halter dress ~ circa 1980s.

Vintage beauty - gorgeous medium weight rayon/polyester/spandex blend midnight fabric ~ lingerie style bodice cups edged with midnight black lace as pictured. Attached self-fabric spaghetti straps to tie behind the back of the neck as pictured.

There is a 5-3/8" wide inset cummerbund between the bodice cups and the waist. Plunging square back ~ zips up the center back with a well working 12" nylon zipper.

The bodice is fitted to the waist where it flares out to a full skirt with a 98" bottom sweep as pictured. Double skirted with an inner skirt of soft midnight poly with a black tulle ruffle as pictured. The black tulle ruffle is about 3" longer than the outer skirt.

Classic New Look styling with a fitted bodice, nipped waist and flirty flaring skirt.

DESIGNER LABEL ~ "La Belle ~ Made in the U.S.A.".

Fabric Content Label ~ 70% Rayon, 27% Polyester, 3% Spandex. RN 81603.

This brooch is highly three dimensional with a layer of filigree silver tone metal with two layers of prong set faceted rhinestones forming the atomic starburst as pictured. Accented with a center prong set faceted rhinestone.

Measurements ~ 1-1/2" In Diameter

Designer ~ the piece is unsigned but of high quality.

Fastens with a well working c clasp with a safety feature.

From a San Francisco estate is this charming compact carryall minaudiere evening purse. Circa 1940s or 1950s.

Although unmarked, similar carryalls are pictured throughout author and compact expert Roseann Ettinger's book "Compacts and Smoking Accessories". Ms. Ettinger states these metal carryalls were designed and made by manufacturers including Evans and Curry Arts, among others, in the 1940s and 1950s.

The tiny white line seen on the lower right side of the first picture is merely a piece of lint - not a scratch.

This carryall is made of brushed goldtone metal with an 8" long goldtone snake chain as pictured. The front has a diagonal area of shiny goldtone metal engraved with the name (or word) "Grace".

The carryall opens on both sides. One side features a large mirror and a powder well complete with its original powder and puff which reads "Glamour". There is also a small hair comb (with a Greek key pattern) in a small cotton case. The other side opens to reveal a compartment for cigarettes finished with an engine turned pattern of multiple fans and a spring controlled holder. Perfect for cash or credit cards. The matching goldtone lipstick tube slides into the side-mounted holder as pictured.

The body of the case measures 3-3/4" wide by 3" tall and 3/4" deep. The snake chain handle is 8" long.

This minaudiere is in good vintage condition with no dents, discoloration, or tarnish. There are some light exterior use scratches and some minor discoloration of the interior mirror and powder puff as pictured. All springs and clasps are smooth and in perfect working order. The lipstick tube is empty and appears to be unused.

A perfect gift for the compact lover or the "Grace" in your life.

The brooch is very three dimensional ~ two separate leaves attached on the back as pictured. The top leaf is brushed gold tone metal accented with inset clear rhinestones as pictured. The bottom leaf is smooth gold tone metal with beautiful amber rhinestones.

Fastens with a back mounted safety "c" clasp.

The lever back clip on earrings match the brooch as pictured.

All three pieces are signed Sarah Coventry on the back.

Vintage beauty - gorgeous green and black lace embellished with metallic green glitter as pictured. The dress is completely lined with silky green acetate.

The lace is worked into a stunning fitted hourglass shape strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and plunging square back as pictured.

The dress is constructed in an hourglass shape using three front panels and four back panels ~ there is boning from the neckline to the waist at both side seams and the front and back panel seams for a perfect fit.

There is a 10-1/4" wide gathered ruffle sewn to the bottom of the fitted dress as about mid-thigh level as pictured. The ruffle is slightly higher in front than in the back.

Zips up the center back with a well working 16-1/2" nylon zipper.

Classic Bombshell styling with a fitted bodice, nipped waist and flirty flaring wide bottom ruffle.

DESIGNER LABEL ~ No designer or other labels as this was handmade by a very skilled seamstress or tailor.

CONDITION:

From a San Francisco estate is this stunning orange glass double strand beaded necklace with matching earrings.

Each 1/2" diameter glass bead is clear glass with an orange interior accented with swirls of gold aventurine flakes as pictured.

Each 1/2" bead is separated from the other beads with faux pearl spacers and accented with brass filigree fittings on each side.

Matching lever back clip on earrings are a 1/2" diameter orange aventurine bead accented with a brass filigree fitting.

The shortest strand of the necklace measures 16" long end to end, which includes the faux pearl extenders at each end.

The beads are attacked to each other with brass fittings as pictured ~ NOT strung on wire or string.

There is no signature that I can find on these pieces. The necklace and earrings are most likely Italian and probably were made on the island of Murano which was actively producing aventurine glass jewelry and decorative items during that time period.

Condition ~

Near Mint ~ no chips, cracks, breaks, missing beads or other issues. Appears to have been rarely, if ever, worn.

This is a beautiful set and a wonderful addition to any collection of glass beads or aventurine jewelry or beaded necklaces. Would be a special gift for a close friend or loved one.

This is a large sized figural elephant with it's trunk pointed up, a symbol of good luck and good fortune.

This buckle is highly three dimensional with a smooth gold tone metal front and incised patterned metal back.

From a San Francisco estate is this charming figural enameled metal poodle family brooch or pin. Circa 1950s

This piece is highly three dimensional with the mother poodle being slightly larger and the smaller baby poodle in profile to the side as pictured.

Both are white textured enameled metal accepted with deep lavender floppy ears, feet, and collars. Both poodles have raised black enameled button eyes as pictured.

The back of the brooch is also enameled in white. Fastens with a well working silver tone safety "c" clasp.

Measurements ~

1-1/2" Tall x 1-1/8" Wide

Condition ~

Vintage excellent ~ there are no chips, cracks, missing parts, or other issues ~ the only thing is two pin sized places on the mother poodle's curls where the enamel is missing - appears to be a factory flaw. The back clasp is complete and fastens securely.

SIGNATURE ~ The piece is unsigned ~ although it is very high quality.

Wonderful to add to a poodle or figural poodle brooch collection. A wonderful gift for a loving friend or family member.

From Catseye Vintage is this exquisite faux opal and rhinestone bar pin from Paris designer Givenchy.

I purchased this bar pin new from Macy's in San Francisco, California in the early to mid 1980s and it has been sitting in my jewelry box unworn since that time.

The pin features three beautiful faux bezel set opal cabochon stones in shades of white, pink, and blue accented with pink and blue bezel set rhinestones as pictured.

Set in gold tone metal with a hinged "c" safety clasp in back.

Marked "Givenchy" in an oval on the reverse.

From Catseye Vintage is this exquisite 1970s tribute to the 20s flapper dresses ~ in mint green Chantilly lace accented with faux pearlized domed buttons and sheer sleeves.

The dress is clipped to fit my size 0-2 mannequin.

The deep V neckline plunges to a side draped bodice that buttons to just below the waist on the left side utilizing nine fabric loops and 3/8" domed faux pearlized buttons ~ plunging v faux wrap back as pictured.

The long skirt is fitted through the hips flaring out to a lovely high low hankerchief hem as pictured ~ with a 196" around bottom sweep.

The dress is double layered ~ the outer layer is a stunning mint green Chantilly Lace over a layer of mint green pebbled crepe. The neckline is accented with the mint green pebbled crepe.

The Chantilly Lace flutter sleeves are unlined.

Classic 1970s tribute to the wonderful 1920s flapper style dresses.

Designer Label ~ "a la Carte California".

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition ~ No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, snags, holes, odors, or tears. The Chantilly lace is in excellent condition with no rips, holes, breaks, or other issues.

"In 1956 the R. Mandle company was founded, with his first line of six trays of mother of pearl jewelry, with Tesoro doing his brass work and Gem-Craft, also of Providence, doing the cast pieces.

Bob reached the teenagers by taking half page ads in Seventeen. One ad, for the Secret Heart ring, elicited the most responses ever at Seventeen! In 1966, Robert won the prestigious Swarovski Design Award,

As R. Mandle he did much of his business overseas. The US Chamber of Commerce, wishing to increase exports to Europe, arranged a group of business including, Dorset-Rex, the "Scarab King," and R. Mandle to exhibit at the same time as the Frankfurt Fair. This was a time to make contacts and this Bob did, with firms such as Ciro of England. During this time R. Mandle was the only American company to be listed among the 1,400 at the biennial Bijoricha Fair. Up to 1982, R. Mandle was the only USA manufacturer. Sixty-five percent of his business was being done overseas. Rare treasures

Associated Dry Goods (Lord and Taylor), Peck and Peck chain and May’s were his American customers. Rings were great sellers for Mandle.

For two reasons: the wholesale manufacturing of Urie Mandle, and the overseas business of Robert Mandle, collectors will find severely limited quantities of their jewelry. When or if you do find pieces from either company, they will be rare treasures."

Stiffened taupe lace bucket hat is wrapped with gorgeous taupe nylon tulle accented with flocked polka dots as pictured. There is a outer layer of taupe nylon netting sprinkled with ab rhinestones and a 2" wide band of moss green velvet ribbon hand sewn around the top circumference of the hat as pictured

Accented with two exquisite silk organdy flowers accented with matching moss green velvet ribbon as pictured.

Wrapped metal stems. The inside of the hat is finished with deep taupe velvet ribbon hidden by the tulle.

The interior is stiffened taupe lace as mentioned above. The interior is finished with taupe grosgrain ribbon as pictured.

This is a wonderful burnt orange, medium brown, and white abstract tapa inspired print on a chocolate brown background as pictured. Fabric is a soft woven polyester lined with a polyester/cotton blend.

Fitted bodice and boy leg bottoms. There are two 6-1/2" wide front hip level pockets as pictured.

The bodice is double layered with a soft built in bra as pictured ~ there are elasticized smocked side panels for a perfect fit. The bottom of the suit is completely lined with white cotton and a white nylon panty.

Zips up the center back with a 14" nylon zipper.

CONDITION:

Near Mint ~ Appears to have never been worn. No stains, odors, fading, discoloration, rips, holes, or tears.

The built in bra is in excellent condition ~ the bra's elastic and the elastic around the bottom of both interior legs is in excellent condition with no loss of stretchiness.

From Catseye Vintage is this wonderful brown print a-line sheath dress with matching coat ~ circa early 1960's.

The sleeveless a-line sheath dress features a three panel front construction and four panel back construction for a perfect fit. Completely lined with silky soft taupe acetate.

Zips up the center back with a well working 18" metal zipper.

The matching a-line coat features a notched collar and four panel front and back construction and is completely lined with silky soft paprika red acetate that picks up the colors of the flowers in the outer fabric design. Buttons up the center front with four 1-1/8" diameter embossed silvertone buttons as pictured - professionally tailored bound buttonholes as pictured.

The wrist length sleeves are each accented with matching 3/4" diameter buttons.

There are 6-1/4" long pockets hidden in the front side seams of the coat and a hidden center back walking slit.

The fabric is a medium weight woven polyester knit. The lighter half circles that are in the lower right corner of the front pics of the dress and coat are sunspots from an outdoor photo session - not fading or lightening.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition with no issues ~ No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, or tears. Gently worn and very well cared for.

There are no rips, stains, snags, odors, or other issues to the lining of the dress or coat.

The colors of the dress and coat match perfectly.

Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

There are no designer tags in this ensemble ~ I do believe it may have been custom made by a skilled seamstress.

I'd say this dress would fit a modern xxs to extra small best. However, please do go by the measurements below leaving room for fit and comfort.

From a San Francisco estate is this wonderful pair of mint green thermoset lucite clip on earrings.

Deep mint green high domed thermoset plastic set in a goldtone metal bezel as pictured.

These are larger than usual ~ 1-1/4" in diameter including the bezel.

Clip on back as pictured.

Unsigned but of high quality. These are very similar to Crown Trifari thermoset earrings I've seen.

CONDITION ~

Excellent ~ Appear to have been gently worn ~ No scratches, chips, flaking or other issues. There is a tiny bit of oxidation to the outside clip back of one of the earrings ~ not visible when worn.

The fading towards the bottom of the earrings is merely light flashback ~ the earrings are perfect with no fading or other issues.

The dress appears to have an orange tinge in the pictures ~ however ~ the dress color is a true lipstick red best shown in the closeup photo of the label.

Very basic and simple with slight hourglass shaping ~ wrist length sleeves with ribbed cuffs ~ 1" tall ribbed collar.

Pullover style with no zippers or buttons ~ unlined.

Shown with a black velvet belt which is not included.

The cashmere is very, very lush and fluffy.

Label reads ~ "Royal Silk ~ 100% Cashmere" ~ "Made in China".

Built in bra is seamed and lined with soft interfacing to hold it's shape ~ There is an elastic band at the bra bottom for a firm fit.

Dress with a beautiful abstract floral print on a jet black background as shown. Circa 1970s.

This is the really nice soft and silky poly jersey - lightweight - perfect for warm weather.

Big cowl neck collar drapes beautifully ~ the bodice and collar are double layered with the same jersey fabric.

Hidden Cased Elasticized waist for a perfect fit. Soft a-line skirt flows beautifully.

Pullover style with no zipper or buttons.

Only fragments of the designer label remain.

I'd say this dress would best fit a modern size xs or small, but please go by the measurements below.

From Catseye Vintage is this exquisite burgundy cotton Oaxacan Mexican dress heavily hand embroidered with flowers ~ circa 1970s.

The fabric is a lovely medium weight burgundy cotton ~ the hand embroidery is cotton thread in multiple shades of blue, purple, white, yellow, red, and green as pictured. Heavily embroidered flowers on the front yoke with matching embroidery on the front and a center front embroidered vine and front embroidered border as pictured.

Original length ~ has not been hemmed. There are 7" finished side slits on each side. Dropped shoulders with short puff sleeves with cased elastic cuffs. Unlined.

Classic 1970s hand embroidered hippie dress.

CONDITION:

Very good vintage condition ~ No stains, odors, fading, rips, snags, holes, or tears. All embroidery is present and complete with no missing threads or other issues.

The only thing is a small light quarter size circular area on the back yoke as seen in picture number four.

Gently worn and very well cared for ~ appears to have never been worn.

I'd say this would best fit a modern size extra small to small best, however please go by the measurements below, leaving room for comfort and fit.

From Catseye Vintage is this exquisite gold lame leather clutch purse ~ circa 1960s.

Classic gold lame evening clutch with the frame covered in the same gold lame leather. There is a decorative gold tone textured barrel shaped clasp on the center top as pictured.

The interior is lined with coordinating gold grosgrain rayon. There are no interior pockets.

The back of the bag mirrors the front.

I was surprised to find no label ~ I can only believe it must have been removed at some point in time.

Measurements are ~

11" Wide x 5-1/4" Tall

CONDITION ~

Vintage Excellent ~ the exterior is near mint with no issues. There are a few faint tiny smudges on the interior lining.

This purse would be lovely with any evening wear.

From Catseye Vintage is this beautiful genuine suede leather boot skirt from designer Giorgio Sant' Angelo, circa late 1970s.

The skirt is a deep rich black suede - I have lightened it in picture number two to show you the design details.

Please take a look at the larger versions of the photographs to get an idea of the beauty and workmanship of this skirt.

Italian born Giorgio Sant' Angelo began his design career in 1968 when Diana Vreeland chose him to create clothes for a fashion shoot in the Arizona desert.

Giorgio Sant' Angelo was well known for creating clothing that was influenced by ethnic cultures.

This skirt is a wonderful example of the boho and ethnic influences shown in Sant' Angelo's late 1970's line.

This a-line skirt is beautifully made of soft black suede ~ the front and back are each four panels accented with black topstitching as pictured.

The skirt fastens on the left side with two buttons on the waistband and is lined with deep black silky rayon. The front waist is softly gathered with deep side pockets. The back is not gathered.

Very high quality and very, very luxurious.

Designer Label ~ "Giorgio Sant' Angelo" ~ "Genuine Leather ~ Lining: 100% Rayon ~ RN 63542 ~ Tailored in the Philippines".

CONDITION:

Excellent condition with no issues at all ~ No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, rubs, thin areas, holes, or tears.

As the skirt is very deep black suede, I have shown lightened pictures beside the original pictures showing the deep black color.

Gently worn and very well cared for.

Tagged a size 10 ~ I'd say this would best fit a size small or medium depending on how you like your fit.

Please note the skirt is clipped to my size 0-2 mannequin and will hang much better on the proper size.

MEASUREMENTS:

Waistband ~ 28" x 1-1/2" Wide ~ The buttons could be moved over for another inch or so.

Hips ~ 49" ~ Measured 9" from Waist

Skirt Bottom ~ 59" Around

Length ~ 31" ~ Waist to Hem

This skirt is very beautiful ~ there is no luxury like a 100% sueded leather skirt.

Very versatile ~ stunning with a fitted sweater or lacy top ~ fabulous with boots ~ very chic.

From Catseye Vintage is this wonderful brown textured snubbed rayon linen blend jacket and skirt suit ~ circa late 50s or early 60s.

The fabric is fabulous ~ it's probably a rayon and linen blend in a wonderful and versatile shade of sienna brown which is very textural as pictured.

The color is a rich sienna brown best shown in closeup pictures number one and number four.

Boxy jacket with no fasteners ~ made to be worn open ~ the jacket is accented with a large (8-1/2" Tall x 4" Wide" novelty print cotton bow as pictured. Both sides of the front and the top half of the back are lined with the same novelty print cotton fabric.

Bracelet length sleeves with 2-1/2" folded up cuffs.

Six panel construction a-line skirt for a perfect fit through the hips. Zips up the right side with a 6-1/2" metal zipper.

The skirt is not lined.

There are no labels of any kind ~ however, I believe this is a commercially made suit.

These suits were very popular and similar suits were worn by glamorous actresses and other well-dressed women of the era.

There are no size tags ~ I'd say this lovely suit would best fit a modern size medium, but please go by the measurements below, leaving room for comfort and fit.
