This past week or so I've been creating some of my fiber sculpted BUTTERFLY wall accents! If you love butterflies, you just might want one of these to brighten up your home or office! They are colorful, whimsical and fun!

Size: 7" span from top tip to top tip, 6.75" tall from top tip to bottom tip

This charming butterfly's body was designed from a beautiful cotton batik (batiks are one of my favorite fabrics), whose colors are pale greens mixed with a bit of peach in the pattern. It almost has a "watercolor" look to it.

The body was designed using Swarovski crystals, a unique glass bead (see closeup photo),the head is an 8mm Swarovski crystals, and the antennae are Swarovski crystals and pale frosty green glass beads. The body is resting on a wispy piece of pale green "eyeleash" yarn. The body and the yarn have been handsewn onto the fabric wings.

The wings are stuffed with acrylic fiberfill and have been top-stitched into a pattern. There are wire armatures in the wings, so that you may bend them a bit.

I've also included a photo showing how you might want to display one of these butterflies. I love to take a lot of closeup flower photos, and the butterflies look wonderful in a grouping of photos.

There is a loop on the back of the butterfly with which to hang it on the wall.

Butterfly Necklace, Fiber Fantasy Jewelry

This beautiful, fiber fantasy necklace will bring a bit of magic to any outfit.

The necklace is handknit from a very unique textured Italian yarn with a fiber sculpted butterfly as the focal point in the center of the necklace. These necklaces are my own original designs.

SIZE: The necklace will hang approximately 14" long and can be stretched a bit. The butterfly is 2" wide at the top from wing tip to wing tip, and measures 1.75" high. The necklace can easily be put over your head. Once size fits all.

The butterfly was created from a quality cotton fabric in shades of green. It has been lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, top-stitched into a design and has inner wire armatures. The butterfly has been handsewn onto the handknit necklace.

The butterfly's body is made up of Swarovski crystals strung on colored wire and has been handsewn onto the wings. It is resting on a piece of the yarn used to create the necklace. 20 Swarovski crystals make up the body.

The texture of the yarn is quite fun with soft areas (like on the butterfly, and there is a metallic thread running through it which gives it a magical look.

This would make a truly unique gift idea.

Mint Green FLOWER FAIRY, fiber sculpted fantasy art doll

This fairy is so refreshing and fun with her wild green hairdo and 100% silk minty green body and wings!

She measures 9" tall from the tip of her toes to the tip of her wings. Her top wing tip span is 5.5"

Her body/wing fabric is 100% raw silk in a lovely shade of green. Raw silk has a slightly "nubby" texture to it.

Her face, like all of my creations, is 100% silk tussah fabric. Tussah silk comes from wild moths whose main diet is oak leaves. I individually handdrew, needlesculpted and hand painted her lovely face. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very life-like look and shine.

Her wild green hairdo was designed from an Italian designer yarn which has a texture of long eyelash and a bit of colorful ribbon running through it.

Her accents and trims are tiny fabric flowers with tiny white pearl type beads in the center of each, a necklace which I designed using colored wire, 4mm Swarovski crystals, and tiny white simulated pearl beads, a Swarovski crystal belly button, a flower in her hair accented with 3mm Swarovski crystals, a flower on her one ankle, and a flower in the center back of her wings.

Her body is firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, and has inner wire armatures. She is designed to be either hung on the wall (a loop is on the back of her neck), or to dance from a bit of ribbon or clear fishing line. You can move her arms up or down a bit, but she cannot be turned into a sitting fairy.

Her wings have been lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, topstitched into a design and also have inner wire armatures.

The beautiful creature is sure to make you smile, and bring a bit of magic whereever she may live.

This multicolored rainbow knit necklace will brighten up any top or sweater! Wearer will be sure to receive a lot of compliments....now who doesn't like to get compliments!!

SIZE: 100% antique China silk butterfly: Approx. 1.75" x 1.75", HANDKNIT NECKLACE: 14.5" (includes the butterfly) The necklace has a bit of "stretch to it so it will slip easily over your head. One size fits all.

I handknit the necklace using an Italian ribbon yarn from Plymouth Yarn called Jungle. It has a beautiful sheen to it and all the colors of the rainbow.

The fabric butterfly was created from an antique silk from China (from the 50's...brand new) and has a slight pattern to it. The color is a gorgeous shade of aqua, which picks up the aqua colors in the ribbon yarn.

The butterfly is my own original design, has been lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, has been top-stitched into a design and has inner wire armatures. The butterfly's body was designed from Swarvoski crystals and tiny glass seed beads strung on colored wire and handsewn onto the butterfly wings. The butterfly is permanently attached to the handknit necklace chain.

Here is another delightful BUTTERFLY pin. It is sure to bring a bit of color, whimsey and magic to any outfit, hat, purse, scarf, etc.

The wings were created from a top quality, colorful cotton quilt fabric in shades of orange, purples, and hints of aqua.

The wings are stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, top-stitched into a design and have inner wire armatures.

This is a very fun textured yarn used for this "fairy face pin/knit necklace set. It is a full of long wispy eyelash which gives it a very magical look. The colors are a pale golden pumpkin color with hints of deep rusts throughout the design. It also has metallic thread running through it.

This wee fairy "star fairy" comes sitting (not attached) on her very own magical WOODEN trinket box.

SIZE: Fairy, 3.25" high from her seat to the top of her fluffy hairdo, BOX: handpainted wooden trinket box with fabric cushion inside, 1.5" high, the cover of the box measures 3.25", and the bottom of the box measures 2.75".

The fairy is the smallest of my fairies with her face measuring only .50" wide x .75" long. Her face, like all of my creations, is 100% silk fabric, which I have individually handdrawn, needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very "life-like", 3 dimimensional look and shine.

Her body/wing fabric is a beautiful deep magenta/lavender batik with gold stars and dots throughout its pattern.

This bright yellow BUTTERFLY fairy makes you feel good just to look at her with her glistening yellow/light green hairdo.

She measured 10" tall before sculpting into her current, permanent sitting position. Sitting she measures 5" tall from her "seat" to the tip of her wings.

Her body/wing fabric is a beautiful batik fabric, which I recently purchased from a quilt shop in SD. It is several shades of yellow with a bit of a light green cast in it. Flowers and leaves are the design.

Her face is 100% silk, which I have individually hand-drawn, needle-sculpted and hand-painted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her accents are: a headpiece which I created out of 4mm Swarovski crystals and light green freshwater pearls on golden wire, a necklace of Swarvoski crystals/light green fresh water pearls, and 2 glass leaf beads, a crystal belly button, crystals and glass leaf beads, in her waist accent, crystals on each of her toes and center back of her wings, and a gold plated filigree butterfly charm, which I accented with another 4mm yellow Swarovski crystal. All accents are hand-sewn onto the fairy.

Her beautiful hairdo was styled from one of my favorite yarns, which has soft wispy eyelash, and poofs of color as its texture.

Her body/wings have been stuffed with acrylic fiberfill and have inner wire armatures, which allowed me to sculpt her into her current position.

Stunning FAIRY BRIDE or BALLERINA fiber fantasy sculpture

This 10" tall, stunning in white, fairy is designed as a wall hanging, but would also look charming displayed from a bit of white ribbon or clear fishing line, so you could watch her twirl and dance.

She is the 6th fairy in my WEDDING COLLECTION, but looking at her with her fluffy white skirt, I thought she'd also make a beautiful "ballerina" fairy! It is up to your imagination, what she can be.

Her body/wing fabric is a beautiful white cotton fabric with a slight pattern in the design, which has a "shimmery" look to it. Her skirt was designed using a wispy, fluffy white trim that measures about 2" in length, and accented with another unique braid type trim, and a white organza bow with a crystal clear Swarovski crystal in the center. The upper portion of her outfit is another white organza bow accented with a crystal clear Swarovski crystal and some more of the satin braid trim. The back of her skirt has another organza bow accented with a Swarovski crystal.

In her hair she is wearing another white, organza bow accented in the center with an 8mm crystal clear Swarovski crystal and a bit of the trim as in her skirt. The center back of her wings have a white bow accented with 2 - 4mm Swarovski crystals and a bit more of the white trim. Last, but not least, she has 2 - 4mm Swarovski crystals on the tip of each of her toes.

Her long flowing, brown hairdo was designed from an Italian yarn called "Viola". Its texture is soft, wispy eyelash.

Her face is 100% silk fabric, which I individually handdrew, needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her body is firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill and has inner wire armatures. You may move her arms up or down a bit, but she can't be turned into a sitting fairy. Tiny whimsical FAIRY on a denim beanbag base

This little fairy is the third in my series of fairies, which come sitting on a beanbag base.

The fairy measured just 6.5" long before sculpting her into her current, permanent sitting position. Sitting, she measures 3.5" high when measuring from her "seat" to the top of her fluffy, sparkly hairdo.

Her body/wing fabric is a beautiful quilting fabric in shades of rusts, deeper browns, hints of lavender and aqua with metallic gold outlines in parts of the design.

Her tiny face is 100% silk fabric, which I individually handdrew, needlesculpted, and handpainted using a very fine point Micron pen, and acryic paints. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her fluffy, sparkly hairdo is a fun textured "eyelash" style yarn in all the colors to match her body/wing fabric.
Her wings are in the shape of a butterfly.

Her accents are Swarovski crystals in her hair, a necklace of Swarovski crystals and metal seed beads, a crystal belly button, strands of Swarovski crystals sewn at her waist, on the tip of her feet, and the center back of her wings.

Her beanbag base/chair was created out of recycled denim jeans, and has 8 sections to it. It measures approximately 5.25", and is filled with rice. I've accented the top and bottom centers of the beanbag with some of the yarn used for the fairy's hair. The top of the beanbag also has a Swarovski crystal sewn into the center of it.

The fairy was designed to sit on her beanbag, but you could also have her sit alone.

Fiber Fantasy Sculpture GREEN LEAF DIVA ON SALE

This "green leaf" diva, as I call her, is absolutely exquisite in person! I designed her completely (diva and leaf) out of 100% silk tussah fabric. Silk tussah is a silk which is derived from wild moths whose main diet is oak leaves. It has a beautiful sheen to it.

The leaf template was designed from one of my house plant's leaves, and it measures 12" long to its base, and the curly stem extends another 5". I lightly filled the leaf with acrylic fiberfil, top-stitched it into a design and it has a inner wire armature in the center. The leaf was then hand-dyed/painted using a brushes and silk fabric paints.

The "diva" measured 15" tall before sculpting her into her current, permanent position. Sitting, she measures 6.5" from her seat to the top her head. The "diva" has been hand sewn to the leaf, so she is permanently attached.

Her body and face are in beautiful shades of greens to compliment her leaf. For this figure, I first created and stuffed the body/face and then hand-painted it using several different size brushes for a lovely shading effect.

Her face has been individually hand-drawn, needle-sculpted and hand-painted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very "life-like" look and shine.

Her long flowing green hairdo was designed from two different Italian designer yarns, one having a bit of sparkle to it, and the other is a long "eyelash" style yarn.

Her accents are Swarovski crystals, glass seed beads in the form of a double beaded necklace with a tiny green bell in the center, at her waist, in her hairdo and also on her legs.

She is the "spirit" of all green plants, and would make a truly beautiful accent in your home or office.

This exquisite Giraffe Fairy is another addition to my JUNGLE COLLECTION. She is so striking with her glistening brown/bronze hairdo, and giraffe print fabric.

Size: 10" tall from the tip of her toes to the top of her sparkly hairdo

Her face, like all of my creations, is 100% silk tussah fabric. Tussah silk comes from wild moths whose main diet is oak leaves. It has a wonderful sheen to it. I individually, hand-draw, needle-sculpt and hand-paint each face. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very "life-like", 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her sparkly hairdo was designed from an Italian yarn, whose texture is long, sparkly eyelash, which glistens and shines.

Her accents are: a unique necklace I designed using Swarovski crystals, tiny round stone beads, an oblong bead, and a round wooden bead, crystals and stones beads sewn into her waist accent, a Swarovski crystal belly button, an ankle bracelet of Swarovski crystals and tiny stone beads, and a center bead and Swarovski crystal in the center back of her wings.

The entire fairy is created from fabric, stuffed with acrylic fiberfill and has inner wire armatures, in her legs, arms and wings.

There is a ribbon loop on the back of her wings by which to either hang her on the wall or to watch her dance from a bit of clear fishing line or ribbon.

She is one beautiful fairy, and would make a very lovely addition to any collection.

Tropical BUTTERFLY FAIRY on her Jungle Laurel Burch fabric beanbag base

I just finished this fun, colorful butterfly fairy which comes sitting on a tropical beanbag base, which I created using Laurel Burch fabric.

FAIRY SIZE: She was 6.5" long before sculpting into her current sitting position. Sitting she measures 3.5" high. The fairy on the beanbag measures approx. 5" high.

The beanbag base measures 5" in circumference, has 7 sections to it, and is "plumply" stuffed with rice. It has all of the whimsical, colorful jungle animals and green leaves in its design, which Laurel Burch was known for.

I then had to come up with a color for the fairy, and after searching through my "stash" of fabric, I decided to use this red fabric, which has a bit of a pattern to it. Of course, the fairy had to have some wild hair to go with her body/wing fabric, and also look good with all the bright colors in her beanbag.

Her hairdo is a fun textured yarn with long, red, wispy eyelash and "poofs" of color.

The fairy can be displayed on her beanbag, or she can also sit by herself. Her wings a in the shape of butterfly wings, and have been accented in the center back with a bit of yarn, the same as her hairdo, and Swarovski crystals.

Her other accents are Swarovski crystals in her hairdo, a Swarovski crystal necklace with a tiny, red Swarovski crystal butterfly bead in the center, a crystal belly button, and more Swarovski crystals at her waist. She is also wearing a colorful, tiny Swarovski crystsal ankle bracelet.

Her tiny face is 100% silk, which has been handdyed a lovely shade of brown. I have individually handdrawn, needlesculpted and handpained her face. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very "lifelike" look and shine.

Her body has been firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfil and has inner wire armatures. She has been sculpted to stay in the position in which you see her. Her wings have been lightly stuffed with fiberfill, topstitched into a design and also have inner wire armatures.

She is one fun, colorful little fairy, and would bring a bit of color and magic to any room in your home or office.

The yarn used for the necklace and fairy's hair is a French yarn called FLIRT, which has a wispy eyelash texture and is full of rainbow colors! This fun yarn is being discontinued and is getting really hard to find. You could even wear her with a sweatshirt and look very magical!

I've accented her hair with a organza flower which I handdyed to match the colors in her hair and necklace. There are two 4mm Swarovski crystals handsewn into the center of the flower.

This beautiful "Bride Fairy" is a one-of-a-kind, fiber fantasy sculpture. She is my own original design, and many hours and attention to detail have gone into her creation. The fairy is a "keepsake", and is not designed for children. She is designed to hang on the wall, or also would be fun to display with a bit of ribbon so she can dance!

The fairy is just about 8.5" tall from the tip of her toes to the top of her fluffy, sparkly hairdo.

Her face is 100% silk, which I individually handdraw, needlesculpt and handpaint. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very "life-like", 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her body/wing fabric is a top quality cotton fabric which is an "off-white" color with a pattern of flowers in its design. The fairy is firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill and has inner wire armatures. Her arms may be moved up or down a bit, but her legs are to remain in the position in which you see them. The wings are lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, have been top-stitched into a design, and have inner wire armatures.

I designed her Victorian style skirt using two different lace trims which I have accented with a cream colored silk flower and 4mm Swarovski crystals. Her necklace is designed of 13 Swarovski crystals on gold wire, and has been handsewn onto the fairy. Her other accents are Swarovski crystals on each of her toes, in the center back of her wings, and another silk flower in her hair. All accents are handsewn onto the fairy.

Her sparkly brown hairdo was designed from an Italian yarn called AURA, and will truly glisten and sparkle, especially when the light of a lamp hits it or the sun. Her wings are in the shape of butterfly wings.

The delightful fairy would make a truly beautiful, lasting memory of that "special day", or a wonderful addition to any fairy collection.

Woodland FAIRY BRIDE fiber sculpted art doll

This delicate, little FAIRY BRIDE is all ready for her big day! She comes sitting (not attached) on a moss covered stump.

I just designed this teeny, tiny creature when I thought I couldn't get much smaller with my figures. She measures between 2.5 - 2.75" high, when measuring from her "seat" to the top of her head. Her face is only .50" wide and not quite .75" long. This is the smallest face I've ever done!!

Her body/wing fabric is a "off-white" cotton fabric with a floral pattern in the design. She is wearing a tiny skirt which I made up of 7 "off-white" organza rosebuds with green leaves, and I hand sewed tiny glass cream colored seed beads into the center of each flower.

She is stuffed with acrylic fiberill and has inner wire armatures. She is sculpted into this permanent sitting position.

Her face is 100% silk, which I hand-drew, needle-sculpted and hand-painted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which give her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her accents are a tiny necklace designed from more "off-white" seed beads and a Swarovski crystal in the center of it. Her hair accent is a tiny crown of seed beads and a Swarovski crystal along with a spray of tiny dried flowers. She is also holding a bouquet of dried flowers, and is wearing an ankle bracelet made from the same seed beads in her necklace, hair and waist accent, along with a 4mm Swarovski crystal. The center back of her wings is accented with another rosebud and Swarovski crystal.

Her beautiful curly hairdo was designed from an Italian yarn. It is wispy and the colors a browns with a tiny hint of green in it. Perfect for a "woodland" fairy!

She is a lot more petite and exquisite than the photos can show. You will never find another little fairy quite like her!

This shimmery, golden BUTTERFLY is very beautiful in "shimmering gold and copper" tones! It is really a beautiful fabric which I picked up last September at my favorite quilt shop in the Black Hills.

Size: The top wing span is 8" when measuring from the top of one wing tip to the other. The height, measuring from the top of the wing tip to the bottom of the wing is 6.75"

The butterfly was created from my own original pattern. It has been stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, top-stitched into a design and has inner wire armatures.

The butterfly's body is designed from Swarovski crystals, in colors to match the wing fabric. The body is made up of 2 - 8mm, and 2 - 5mm Swarovski crystals, The head is another 8mm crystal and the antennae are 4 - 4mm Swarovski crystal. The body is strung on copper toned wire and is resting on a piece of fluffy yarn. The entire body is hand-sewn to the fabric wings. There is a ribbon loop on the back for hanging.

This sweet little fairy is all the colors of the rainbow...from her wild, wispy hairdo to her body/wing fabric.

I recently captured this beautiful flower on a visit to Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee, WI.

The butterfly matches perfectly with the colors of the photo. The fabric butterfly measures 2.25" from top wing tip to top wing tip, and is 2.75" from top to bottom wing tip.

I used a quality cotton fabric for the wings, which have been top-stitched into a design and have inner wire armatures. The butterfly is lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill.

The butterfly's body is resting on a fluffy piece of eyelash yarn. This framed 8 x 10 photo of gorgeous lilies along with one of my original designed fiber sculpted butterflies will bring a bit of color and magic to any room in your home or office. The photo has been professionally printed by Kodak and has a matte finish.

I recently photographed this group of lilies at the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee, WI. There were so many different colors of lilies, and these just stood out with their orangish coloring!

The fiber sculpted butterfly measures 3.5" from top wing tip to top wing tip, and 3.5" from top wing tip to bottom wing tip. The fabric used for the wings is a beautiful cotton batik fabric in colors to match the lilies.

I always get inspired this time of the year to create a few "fall fairies", with the turning of the leaves!

This delightfu acorn fairy has just arrived from her home in an oak tree forest, to bring you joy and whimsical greetings.

Size: 4.5" high from her "seat" to the very tip of her acorn cap.

She is permanently sculpted to stay in her current sitting position, through the use of inner wire armatures.

Her lovely face is a beautiful shade of brown, and is 100% handdyed silk, which I individually handdrew, needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very "life-like", 3-dimensional look and shine. The face has been sprayed with a matte finish sealer by Krylon, so it will not run or smear.

Her body/wing is a beautiful fall patterned batik fabric with a leaf pattern in deep olive greens and browns.

Her hairdo is a fun textured yarn with soft, sparkly wisps and poofs!

Her accents are a real burr oak cap, which I handpainted a sparkly bronze color, and added an 2 - 4mm Olivine and 1 8mm Topaz Swarovski crystals as accents.

Her necklace is created from Swarovski crystals, and a tiny gold plated acorn charm. She also has a Swarovski crystal belly button strands of Swarovski crystals at her waist, on the tip of her toes, and in the center back of her wings.

The entire fairy is stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, and her wings have been top-stitched into a design, and also have inner wire armatures.

She would make a wonderful addition to any fairy collection or a beautiful gift idea. Add a bit of magic and whimsey to any area in your home or office.

Gorgeous Ethnic Fairy fiber sculpted art doll SILK Face

This gorgeous ethnic fairy is simply delightful with her rich colored fabric body/wings. The colors range from deep rusts, orange, golds, brown, and has gold highlights running through the pattern.

Her face is 100% silk, which I hand-dyed a lovely shade of brown. She has a beautiful face. I individually hand-drew, needle-sculpted and hand-painted the face. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer applied, which gives her a very "life-like", 3-dimensional look and shine.

She measured 10" long before sculpting into her permanent sitting position. The entire fairy (wings, body, face) are firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfil by Airtex. The wings have been top-stitched into a design, and have inner wire armatures. The fairy's body also has inner wire armatures, which allowed me to sculpt her into her sitting position.

Her accents are three strands of Swarovski crystals, tiny brass colored seed beads and glass seed beads sewn into the front of her the pattern on her chest, a Swarovski crystal belly button, a unique belt which I designed out of Swarovski crystals, metal copper colored seed beads and glass seed beads. She is also wearing an ankle bracelet, and a hair accent of Swarovski crystals, metal seed beads, hand sewn into her hair.

She is one gorgeous fairy!!

Aqua MERMAID fiber sculpted fantasy figure

This aqua mermaid is absolutely gorgeous...if only you could see her in person! I've been making a few new mermaids, and she is my latest!

Size: 9.5" tall from her fins to the top of her fluffy hairdo. Fin span is 6"

I designed her tail out of a beautiful, cotton quilt fabric which has tiny sparkles thoughout. It has a slight pattern to it, and several shades of aqua in the design.

Her upper body and face are 100% silk fabric. Her face has been individually handdrawn, needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her beautiful, full hairdo was designed using two designer yarns, one is a sparkly, glistening yarn called AURA, and the other is a soft, wispy yarn with bits of color in it.

Her accents are a Swarovski crystal necklace, belly button, waist accent, hair accent, and more Swarovski crystals in the top portion of her tail fins. Her accents are made up of 45 Swarovski crystals, all of which have been handsewn onto the mermaid.

She is designed as a wall hanging, and has a loop on the back of her neck for this purpose. Her entire body has been firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, and her fins and arms have inner wire armatures, so that you may bend them a bit, if you like. She could also be displayed as if she were standing on a shelf, but she is not free standing.

If you love mermaids, you might just want to give this one a home, as she is truly one-of-a-kind!

This teeny fairy is flying on her magical butterfly! She is permanently attached to the butterfly, and can either be displayed as a "mobile" or she can also sit on a flat surface.

SIZE: Fairy is 5.25" long before scuplting into her sitting position. Sitting she measures approximately 3.25" high from her "seat" to the tip of her wings. The butterfly is 8" wide from top wing tip to top wing tip, and 7" long.

The fairy and the butterfly were created from a fun, colorful rainbow colored batik fabric with dots throughout the design.

The butterfly has been stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, top stitched into a design and has inner wire armatures. The butterfly's body was designed from Swarovski crystals and colored wire, and has been handsewn onto the fabric wings.

The fairy has been firmly stuffed with arcylic fiberfill, and also has inner wire armatures. She has been handsewn to the butterfly wings.

Her face is 100% silk fabric, which I have individually handdrawn, needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very "life-like", 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her accents are colorful glass seend beads and Swarovski crystals. She even has a crystal belly button! The silk flower in her hair has been accented with colorful glass seed beads and Swarovski crystals.

Mystical, Magical MERMAID fiber fantasy art doll sculpture

As the temperatures hover in the low teens to below zero here in Wisconsin, I've let my mind wander to more tropical, magical places.

Here is my latest mermaid who is the largest of my wall style mermaids. She measures approximately 13" tall from the bottom of her fins to the top of her gorgeous hairdo!

Her tail fin span is 10.5", when measuring from one tip to the other. I designed her tail out of a beautiful cotton batik fabric whose colors are soft lavenders, hints of green, aqua and mauves. It is just gorgeous!

Her upper body and face are 100% silk tussah fabric. Tussah silk comes from wild moths, whose main diet is oak leaves. I use it for all of my creations faces, mermaids upper bodies, and also for my silk leaves. I individually hand-drew, needle-sculpted and hand-painted her face. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives them a 3-dimensional look and shine. The face has also been sprayed with a matte finish sealer by Krylon to protect the colors.

Her, magical, colorful hairdo was designed from three different Italian designer yarns, one of which sparkles and glistens when the sun or a light hits it.

The entire mermaid is firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, and the tail, and arms have inner wire armatures, so that you may bend them a bit.

Her accents are: a Swarovski crystal necklace, silk flowers accented with Swarovski crystals in the center, as her top, a crown of real sea shells and Swarovski crystals, a Swarovski crystal belly button, real sea shells and Swarovski crystals as waist accents, and also Swarovski crystals sewn into the upper portion of her fins and 2 each on the tip of each fin.

There is a loop on the back of her neck, by which to display her on a wall. You could also display her to look as if she is standing on a shelf, but she is NOT freestanding, and would either have to lean against some or be tacked to the wall.

I've finally had a chance to create several of my tiny 6.5" wall style mermaids!

This sweet little mermaid is full of fun and all the colors of the rainbow with her batik fabric tail, and multicolored yarn hairdo.

Her face and upper body are 100% silk fabric. Her face has been individually handdrawn, needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine. The face has been sprayed with a matte finish sealer by Krylon so it will not run or smear.

Her tail was created from a colorful cotton batik, with spots throughout the pattern. The tail fins are stuffed with acrylic fiberfill and topstitched into a design. It also has inner wire armatures so that you may bend the fins up or down a bit. The fins span is 4.75".

Her colorful, sparkly hairdo was designed using two different yarns. One is a multi-colored "eyelash" yarn, and the other is a very "sparkly" multi-colored eyelash yarn called AURA.

Her accents include Swarovski crystals in her hairdo, necklace, waist accent and at the top of her fins, and a crystal belly button. Her waist accent also includes a real seashell. I handsew all accents onto the mermaid using a clear 4" fishing line that you can't see. She has a loop on the back of her neck so that you can either hang her on the wall or from a bit of colorful ribbon or fishing line to see her twirl and dance.

This enchanting fairy measures 8" tall from the tip of her toes to the top of her fluffy, sparkly hairdo.

She is designed to either hang on the wall or can also be displayed dancing from a bit of ribbon or clear fishing line. There is a ribbon loop on the back for this purpose.

Her face is 100% silk, which I individually handdrew, needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very "life-like", 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her body/wing fabric is a top quality cotton fabric. The entire fairy has been stuffed with acrylic fiberfill. Her arms have inner wire armatures, as do her wings. The wings have been top-stitched into a pattern. You can move her arms up or down a bit, if you like. She can NOT be turned into a sitting fairy.

Her accents are Swarovski crystals in her hair, necklace, belly button, waist accent, on her toes and the center back of her wings. Six tiny, gold plated bumblebees are included in her accents.

Her beautiful hairdo was created from a curly, eyelash type yarn with a bit of sparkle to it.

This striking SOUTHWEST SPIRIT fairy is truly gorgeous!! I used Laurel Burch's fabric, called Magical Horses, for her body and wings. Its pattern is covered with whimsical horse heads, in colors of rust, olive green, dusky lavender, bluish/aqua, and outlines of gold and black. Laurel Burch was one of my favorite designers. Her fantastic imagination brought a lot of color and fun to the world.

SIZE: Fairy measured 15" long before being sculpted into her current, sitting position. Sitting she measures 6.75" high from her "seat" to the top of her head. Her wings extend about 3.5" out from her head. Measuring from the back of her "seat" to the top of her toe (extended leg) she measures about 7.50".

NOTE: In the close-up photo of the face you are seeing the fabric up VERY CLOSE, which gives it the more blurry look. In person she is smooth looking.

I've hand-sewn colorful seed beads, and tube beads onto the horse's heads on the front of the fairy. She also has Swarovski crystal accents and seed beads sewn into her braided hair on one side, and on top of her head. She is wearing an ankle bracelet of seed beads and 3 - 3mm Swarovski crystals. The center back of her wings are also accented with Swarovski crystals, and tiny, metal brass seed beads.

Her hairdo was designed from a beautiful black eyelash yarn, which has colorful nubs of color running through it.

Meet my newest magical MERMAID! She is full of color and whimsey.

She measures 9" tall from the bottom of her fins to the top of her colorful hairdo. Her tail fin span is 7" from tip to tip.

She is one colorful mermaid, with her gorgeous multi-colored haird, which I designed using 5 different yarns. Several of the yarns are a wispy eyelash style yarn, and one is a sparkly yarn that makes the mermaid look like she just came out of the sea.

Her tail was designed from one of Laurel Burch's OCEAN SONGS designs. The background color is a deep dark blue with bright color throughout. I've accented the sea plants on the front of her tail with 4mm Swarovski crystals.

Her other accents are a colorful glass fish at her waist, one in her hair, a Swarovski crystal necklace, and belly button. All accents are handsewn onto the mermaid using a 4# test clear fishing line, which can't be seen. I do not use hot glue on any of my creations.

The entire mermaid is firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill. The tail fins have been top-stitched into a pattern and have inner wire armatures, as do her arms. You may bend the fins and the arms a bit.

Her upper body and face is 100% silk. Her face, like all of my creations, has been individually handdrawn, needle sculpted and hand-painted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

This is the second of my new "tiny" fairies. She measures just 3" high from her "seat" to the top of her fluffy hairdo, and 2.5" high from her "seat" to the tip of her wings. Her tiny little face is .50" wide and .75" long. This is the smallest face I can create!

She will fit in the palm of your hand.

Her colors are "earthtones" of rust, browns, both in her body/wing fabric, and her sparkly fun textured hairdo.

Her face is 100% silk, which I have individually handdrawn,needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very lifelike, 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her accents are a straw hat decorated with 2 silk flowers, and accented in the center with 5 mm Swarovski crystals, a necklace which I designed using Swarovski crystals, and a tiny gold plated butterfly beads on wire, a crystal belly button, and a waist accent of silk flowers and two strings of Swarovski crystals hand sewn into the side of her waist, a Swarovski crystal ankle bracelet, and the center back of her wings are accented with another tiny gold butterfly, silk flower, and 2 Swarovski crystals. Oh yes, she is also holding a gold metal butterfly on her hand. All accents are hand sewn onto the fairy.

Her body/wing fabric is a brightly colored, cotton batik fabric in shades of tangerine and dusty lavender in portions of the design.

A lot of love and attention to detail go into each and every one of my creations. These fairies are collectibles and are not designed for children to play with. They do make lovely decorations for their rooms though.

Desert Sand Fairy Fiber sculpted art doll SILK FACE

I just finished this beautiful fairy, and for some reason she reminds me of a "desert fairy"...! She is a vision in light creams, and tan.

She measured 10" tall before sculpting into her current, permanent sitting position, and sitting she measures 5.5" tall from the bottom of her "seat" to the tip of her wings.

Her face is 100% silk, which has been hand-dyed to a lovely shade of tan. I individually hand-drew, needle-sculpted and hand-painted her face. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her body/wing fabric were designed from a top quality batik fabric in shades of cream and tan, with geometric style figures in the pattern.

Her hairdo is a very soft, fluffy mohair yarn with strands of cream and rust running through it. SO SOFT!!

Her accents are Swarovski crystals sewn into the design on her chest, and a waist accent of Swarovski crystals, and tiny glass seed beads on colored copper wire. In her hair she is wearing an accent of Swarovski crystals and more glass seed beads on copper wire. All accents are hand-sewn onto the fairy using a clear 4# test fishing line, which can't be seen. Oh yes, she also has Swarovski crystals and seed beads sewn into the center back of her wings, and on the tip of each of her toes.

Her body/wings have been stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, and have inner wire armatures. The wings also have been top-stitched into a design.

She is simple, but beautiful!! A great addition to any fairy collection. Would also make a truly beautiful gift idea.

Irish Spring FAIRY fiber sculpted fantasy art doll

Now can't you just see this delightful fairy flitting about the Ireland! She is so fresh looking with her bright green body/wing fabric, and her lovely red hair. An Irish fairy to be sure!

She measures 10.5" tall from the tip of her toes to the top of her lovely hairdo. She is designed to be hung on the wall and there is a ribbon loop on the back of her wings for this purpose. She would also look lovely dancing and twirling from a bit of ribbon or clear fishing line.

I designed her lovely hairdo from shinning reddish brown curly mohair locks. It took me about an 1 1/2 hours to tame this wild, silky fiber, to come up with her hairdo. It is so soft and looks like real hair.

She is wearing a tiny crocheted headpiece accented with Swarovski crystals, and glass seed beads.

Her other accents are a tiny crocheted, hand-dyed little skirt accented with colorful yarn and Swarovski crystals, a Swarovski crystal belly button, a necklace of Swarovski crystals and glass beads (all in lovely shades of green), and Swarovski crystals on the tip of each toe. The center back of her wings are also accented with Swarvoski crystals and glass seed beads resting on a bit of wispy green yarn.

Her face is 100% silk fabric, which I individually hand-drew, needle-sculpted and hand-painted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very "life-like", 3-dimensional look and shine.

Beautiful, aqua haired "fairy face" pin.

SIZE: 1.50" W x 1.75" high

This fairy's hair was created from some Italian yarn which I had in my stash. It has such a fun texture because it is a mohair yarn with a "spring" to it. It makes great fairy hair! This was an Italian designer yarn I used years ago for a lot of my fairy's hairdos, but it is no longer produced by the Italian company who made it. I can't even remember its name, but it was always one of my favorites.

Its color is a deep aqua, and I have accented it with 4 - 5mm deep aqua Swarovski crystals, and 1 - 4mm lighter aqua crystal. The crystals are handsewn into the fairy's hairdo.

Her face is 100% silk fabric, which I have handdrawn, needlesculpted and handpainted. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer, which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

She would make a wonderful accent to any outfit, and a great gift idea. Wearer is sure to receive a lot of compliments!

The fairy's face and the pin's clasp are cemented onto a piece of circular, texturized brass.

Butterfly Flower Photo Accent, Fiber Sculpted butterfly, 5 x 7

This "butterfly flower photo" wall accent is very refreshing and soothing to look at with the white spikey flowers against the green leaves. I took this photo on a recent visit to the Boerner Botanical Gardens, in Milwaukee, WI. I can't remember the name of the "spikey white" flowers, but they were so beautiful and fragile looking.

The fibersculpted butterfly enhances the photo with the white of its wings, and the greens of the body and yarn.

The fabric butterfly, my own original design, measures 3" x 3", and has been lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, top-stitched into a design and has inner wire armatures. The butterfly is permanently cemented to the glass of the frame.

I created the butterfly's body using a lovely green, oblong glass bead, and a 4mm Swarovski crystal. The head is an 8mm Swarovski crystal, the antennae each have 3 - 4mm Swarovski crystals. The body/head and antennae are strung on green colored wire, and are resting on a bit of fluffy eyelash yarn. The body has been handsewn onto the fabric wings.

This 5 x 7 photo which I recently took at the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee, WI is enhanced with one of my original designed fiber sculpted butterflies. The photo is professionally printed by Kodak.

The butterfly measures 3" x 3", and is made from a beautiful cotton batik fabric. The butterfly is my own original pattern, and it has been lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, topstitched into a design and has inner wire armatures.

DREAMCATCHER FAIRY, fiber sculpted fantasy figure

This enchanting "Dreamcatcher" fairy will be sure to make all your dreams be beautiful!

SIZE: 10.75" tall from the tip of her toes to the tip of her wings.

She is designed to hang on the wall, and there is a leather loop on the back of her wings for this purpose.

Her face is a lovely shade of tan, which is handdyed silk tussah fabric. Tussah silk comes from wild moths whose main diet is oak leaves. It has a lovely sheen to it.

I've individually hand-drawn, needlesculpted and handpainted her face. Her eyes and lips have a coat of crystal clear lacquer which gives her a very life-like, 3-dimensional look and shine.

Her body/wing fabric is a quality cotton fabric in shades of deep burgandy, rusts, aqua, black and browns, with different geometric shapes in the design.

Her long feathery hairdo is multi-colored in shades to match her body/wing fabric. It is a soft, wispy eyelash style yarn.

Her accents are a tiny "dreamcatcher" I created using strips of leather, copper wire, accented with Swarovski crystals and a copper colored antiqued metaL feather bead. The dreamcatcher is handsewn onto the fairy and can't be removed.

Her other accents are a necklace created using Swarovski crystals, glass bead and another metal feather charm. She has several more feather charms at her waist along with Swarovski crystals, a leather headband, Swarovski crystals and a copper colored metal peace pipe charm in her hairdo. It is hard to see all the accents in the photos. She also as several Swarovski crystals, and feathery yarn on each of her feet, and leater strips and Swarovski crystals in the center back of her wings.

Her body and head are firmly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, and the body has inner wire armatures. Her wings are also stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, top-stitched into a design have inner wire armatures.

She is a truly unique, enchanting fairy. A great addition to any collection!

I love butterflies not only for their colorful cheerfulness as you watch them flutter among the flowers, but because they represent "new beginnings and transformation"!

I've designed this colorful butterfly as a wall accent using my own pattern. It measures 8" from the upper wing tip to wing tip, and 7.25" from the top wing tip to the bottom. The photo with the flower photos may give you a better idea of the size of the butterfly. The top photo is an 8 X 10, and the one to the right is a 4 x 6 photo.

The second photo is showing the back of the butterfly.

The wings were created out of a beautiful cotton batik fabric in shades of bright yellow, several shades of green with patches of what I'd call a deep plum color. The wings have been lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfil, top-stitched into a design and have inner wire armatures, so that you can bend them a bit if you like.

There is a ribbon loop on the back for hanging upon the wall

The butterfly's body was created from Swarovski crystals, a total of 13 crystals, which are strung on colored wire and hand-sewn onto the wings. The body is resting on a bit of colorful, green sparkling yarns.

These butterflies can be displayed whereever you want a bit of color and magic. I love to photograph flowers closeup, and have included a picture to give you an idea of how the butterfly can be displayed.
