i had a BLAST making this hat!! i enjoy challenges, and this one was no exception. there is something rewarding about learning something new...this hat project was totally new for me.

i drafted the pattern using secret ingredients from my kitchen (very mysterious, huh?). i raided my son's clean laundry pile to construct this hat from a recently outgrown thermal shirt. the flower is created from scraps from my studio, and the button embellishment came from the shirt. no more thermal shirts = a one of a kind garment for you!

this hat was designed for ages 5-preteen, but i must confess, i tried it on and it fit me pretty well, too!
