I mixed silver and blue, purples and blue, red, and white.
I used Sculpey clays which is very soft. I bake outside
the house to avoid fumes. Polymer clay when baked is a hard and durable plastic. It will last for years. Freezing cold may break the clay or if you drop it on cement it may chip or crack otherwise it is very durable and washable.

I am selling a few coasters here at Etsy.
Making these takes awhile. First you have to knead the Sculpey Clay until it gets softer. Then you twist the colors together and make a spiral and then flatten out with a rolling pin you no longer use for food. I don't sell them at my other website but I have directions on how to make them if you wish to visit go to www.rebeccascreations.homestead.com and then follow to sitemap under polymer clay.

******I can glue a round cork on the bottom if you wish, just let me know first and which side. Use the cork top in the summer on hot days and the other side in the winter to admire. It is a great conversation piece and/or gift!

Each one of my polymer clay horses is created by hand using tools.

I used turquoise, silver with flecks, and green Sculpey and Fimo clays. I added flecks again on the mane and then put two coats of clear acrylic to protect them. Also added is 3, 3mm Swarovksi Hot fix crystals in blue and 1, 4mm crystal
in emerald green.

Findings are silver attached to a macrame cords of green and blue twisted by hand so they are tight with a feather dangle. Hung with a woven cotton waxed brown cord with strung beads of red resin carved, Peruvian handpainted of orange and blue plus silver rounds and my own handmade turquoise and white beads. Please see photo. Dangle is ss twist with round blue and silver drop.

Crystals are on one side only and I initialed the back with year '09.

Makes a lovely gift for someone who loves horses and turquoise.

I was listening to Phil Collins while making this dragonfly.
'That's the Way It Is'

I was wondering what colors to go with silver wings and I was listening to this song about war and how he wished it would end. A little sad. So I thought of USA colors of red white and blue.
So here it is my 354th dragonfly suncatcher here at Etsy.
Wings are my newest designed. I will be making a few more of these so look for them also.

I use copper enameled wires that are non-tarnishing.
Silver 20g and 22g, red and navy 20g.
Eyes are glass crystal AB(aurora borelius) rounds of 10mm.

Tail has red, blue, clear bead, Panda LW bead, 1 rondelle with silver on one side, two swirls in silver wire handmade by me, pearl birdie and Czech round.

The large center bead is a 12mm in metallic colors of gold, aqua, brown, blue and purple mix.
ps if you prefer a transparent colored bead I can do that also.

The little birdie is mother of pearl and these are very hard to find since it is carved.

With my new printer, I print on my Epson Printer with Archival Inks (read below).

The technical part of reproducing a copy of my fine art painting or my photograph is by carefully examining the photograph and fine tuning the image in a software program where I can adjust the color and/or the contrast to match the original image. I will also adjust the dpi resolution and the size of the photo to be printed. All photos are then saved in a folder for future use.

Next the printing is done on my Epson Ultra Hi-Definition R380 Photo Printer using high quality and hi-definition Claria Ink which is smudge, scratch, water and fade resistant. The print will stand up to humidity, moisture and spills.

Print size is the standard 5X7 OR 8x10 for framing. Paper used is Epson paper heavyweight 9mil (with 97 ISO brightness) photograph paper (in a matte finish).

Epson states that the ink has 200 years in an album and 82-98 years on displaying the photo on a wall that is not affected by sunlight.

I pay attention to detail and color and try to produce the best possible print with high quality in mind.

I ship USPS with Insurance and I pack very well with cardboard and bubble wrap.

Eyes are glass in gold. Crystal brightens up the whole dragonfly! The wings are navy with copper twisted around which make them sparkle.
I used copper enamel wires in 20G on the body. This is a strong dragonfly. Very pretty. I have so many I am selling some of them on Etsy. I have made 340 of them. I hope you like what you see. You will not be disappointed.

{In the beginning, I wanted to make catepillars but it did not look so great, so I thought of dragonflies. I made them with small multi colored eye beads and fine wings. There were no beads attached, just the curly wires. Then I progressed with different types of beads and swirly designed wires and added light reflective crystals.
Now, I need to let the young ones and some others go, to empty my part of my nest.
