$32.00
My idea of the perfect holiday dress is one that looks the part but can be worn afterwards without looking silly and this one fits the bill! White premium broadcloth with red hand smocking on the front, this little bishop style is also dressed up with matching feather stitching on the collar and hem. I added vintage cotton lace on the collar and sleeves and constructed the dress with french seams. I sew on a vintage (sounds better than OLD!) machine, so all the red embroidery is hand done! The back closes with 3 darling little buttons, also vintage.

This little peasant dress is made from a mix of vintage and designer fabrics. Fall without the traditional browns and oranges, this one is a showstopper! The usual finished seams, enclosed elastic and preshrunk fabric don't show in the picture, but will certainly make Mom's life easier! This one is a size 4 and is ready to ship. I can make another similar, but the peacock fabric is all gone...the substitute has the same colors but a different print.

Your princess will really shine in this one! Size 5 is ready to ship...convo me for other sizes.

Turquoise corduroy printed with little hearts, I fashioned it into one of my favorite patterns. The back wrap jumper ties on each side to adjust to whatever size your little sweetie is (or will grow to in the coming months) Full twirly skirt will make her happy, while preshrunk fabric and finished seams will make Mom happy...just toss into washer and dryer...no special care needed. The one pictured is a size 5 and is ready to ship. Please allow about a week for other sizes, but convo me if you need a rush. I can also make this in other fabrics...in cotton, it can double as a sundress.

Shown with my "perfect blouse", available in another listing, it also looks cute with a turtleneck, tights and boots. Thanks to my wonderful and tireless model, Malorie.

This little Sandi Henderson pattern was a lot of trouble, but the end result is more than worth it (although I wasn't too sure of that when I sewed most of the 9 yard bottom ruffle with no thread in my bobbin)! Each piece was hand cut, then pieced, zigzagged and topstitched, which adds strength as well as making the seams lie flat. I hope you love the result as much as I do!

The back has elastic for a perfect fit and the back ties adjust, giving her more than one year's wear. Also, the length hits just below the calf, so she won't outgrow it for a while!

I have been collecting brown and dusty pink fabrics for more than a year, and this dress features 8 different prints. I started with a vintage piece from my Mom's stash and my next addition was from designer Suling Wang, but what really made it come together was the pink and brown collection from Robert Kaufman. This listing is for the dress and the pink striped blouse, but the dress without the blouse is a beautiful sundress for those hot days.

Thanks to Malorie for modeling.

New for Fall 2009

$35.00
Hooray, I found some more of the coriander fabric in clay! Nobody has much left, so I am just able to get a yard here and 2 yards there...should have bought a bolt of the stuff last year!

I love how this one turned out! These Amy Butler fabrics just bring to mind raking leaves and high school football games!

This peasant style makes dressing easy for your princess...just slip over the head and go, and preshrink fabric makes laundry day easy for you! The 3/4 length sleeves have double elastic and the neck is trimmed in a wide bias that matches the skirt. Sewn with finished seams and enclosed elastic, it will be as comfortable as it is sturdy, and the mid calf length and loose fit will give her several seasons' wear.

This fabric has been discontinued and is almost impossible to find. I have a source, but when it is gone there will be no more. The dress will be available in sizes 1-6 as long as I can get this fabric.

Check out my matching hats in another listing,,usually $12, but purchasr with the dress and it is just $8!

This little dress has a button on (and off)apron that has a surprise...it reverses from a bright pink and green floral print to one that she can wear for the Chrisrmas season. I have mixed a Robert Kaufman print with a green batik for the main dress, and the Christmas apron has Janet Gossard's "Marerial Girl" print on the reverse side. Lime green rickrack trims the apron.

This only needs a turtleneck or peasant blouse to go from Summer through the Winter into Spring again. It would look adorable with sandals in warm weather and boots or high top green sneakers later!

This one is a size 7 and is ready to ship.

REDUCED Red peasant dress and Christmas pinafore

This little red dress can be worn all winter without the pinafore. Cute with leggings and boots and maybe a jeans jacket, it can also look adorable with a jumper over it.
The pinafore is such a loose fit that the average child can get at least 3 holidays from it long after the red dress is outgrown, which with its loose fit and deep hem won't be for a while. Just add a larger dress or let her wear it with jeans and a turtleneck. More bang for your buck!

This one is ready to ship and a size 3. I can recreate the dress in sizes 2-6, but the pinafore would have to be a similar fabric. I made the dress several months ago and just got around to the pinafore...as you can see from the picture with just the dress, Malorie my lovely little model has had a growth spurt! It will be below the knee on a size 3.

Out of print and very hard to find, I wish that I had a whole bolt of it!

Picture your tiny diva in this cute little peasant dress, dressed up with tights and mary janes, or dressed down with leggings, a jeans jacket and her little boots.

This dress is constructed with care. All seams are finished and elastic enclosed. The vintage bias trim on the neck is double stitched, and the bottom ruffle triple stitched. Every extra step I take is to ensure that each garment will last through many washings and still be passed down to younger children. The loose fit of this little dress allows it to be a cute top with jeans when it becomes too short for a dress.

One of a kind, ready to ship.

As a bonus, the heart print underdress has a loose fit and deep hem, and the knots on the jumper adjust, so it should be a fit through size 12 months or longer. Fashioned from two vintage fabrics and trimmed at the hem with vintage lace, it is the answer to the tiny diva who is tired of wearing pink.

Constructed from preshrunk fabric, just toss in the washer and dryer.

I added some vintage trim from my Mom's stash and VOILA! The neutrals mixed in with the baby pink keep this from being too sticky sweet.

Carefully constructed with finished seams and a lined bodice, the attached apron sports an elephant applique (pink, of course), heat fused and sewn with a close satin stitch.

This one just might become your Princess' favorite Summer dress. It could even be her Sunday best with the addition of a dressy little blouse and Mary Janes.

This one is a 7 and is ready to ship, but runs a bit large. Although it is constructed from the head-turning brights that little extroverts love, it might just be the ticket to giving the shy princess a chance to shine.

It is very versatile and can be dressed up or down, and the jumper doubles as a sundress when the weather warms up next Spring. Yards of ruffles (nearly 4 just on the bottom tier) make it perfect for twirling. Of course all seams are finished and the bodice is lined. The gingham blouse is peasant style and constructed with french seams. It can do double duty as a jeans top, giving you more bang for your buck.

This outfit is ready to ship. It runs bigger than most size 6 outfits, and with the strap adjustments and loose fit will grow with your Princess. It is one of a kind and features both vintage and designer fabrics.

Thanks to my lovely model, Madison.

It is perfect for the littlest fan's first tailgating party. I can also make a matching one for Dad, or Mom or anyone in between...just let me know what size! Prices start at $17 for the smallest and a Adult large is $45 for short sleeved and $50 for long sleeved, with an additional $5 for X large (Sorry, but this is because the college fabric runs a bit narrow.) The large is a nice loose fit, however.

These shirts are individually made to order with every attention to detail. The seams are carefully finished and doublestitched, the print on the pockets is matched and the fabric is washed and dried on hot, as is everything I make so that you will not have to worry about shrinking.

They are square, 42"-45" and big enough for a larger child. They are wonderful for swadling, nursing covers, treasured lovies, floor blankets....you name it! I have many colors and designs and can custom make them to match nursery colors or decor. For the new December baby, how about a Christmas print to wear home fron the hospital?

I have added a lace trimmed little apron, embellished with polka dot ribbon and a double yoyo flower. Three more tiny yoyo flowers march down the bodice, dressing it up even more.
OOAK Blue Rosebud Smocked Bishop Size 3

If I ever get a notion to smock eyelet again, I hope someone slaps me! Although I am pleased with the end result, getting the pleats to lay flat involved nearly as much back smocking as what was done on the front! All the heavy embroidery around the eyelet holes is what made this so difficult, but I just fell in love with this blue rosebud fabric and couldn't resist it!

The beauty of this loose full style is that by letting down the generous 8" hem, your little princess can get several years' wear from this little dress. The sleeves are edged in a sweet scalloped lace and smocked for a gentle gather that won't cut into little arms like elastic does. The other advantage in smocked sleeves is that this is an heirloom that can be saved for the next generation without worrying about any elastic failure (as it all does eventually). Thanks to Ava Belle for being my model!

Of course it is constructed with french seams and enclosed elastic.

The wide ruffle pants are from gold cotton velveteen, soft, and rich to the eye...the photos don't even begin to do them justice! They also feature finished seams and enclosed elastic. The little sash is no longer available in this print, but can be done in the print of your choice. This ensemble would be equally at home on Thanksgiving, Christmas and the rest of the Winter.

I can recreate the top and pants in size 2-8.

Each of the fabrics had an underwater theme and the whale on the front was done the old fashioned way. I designed and sketched her, then cut out and pieced the individual fabric pieces, which are heat bonded and then stitched around with a close satin stitch. Button accents (many are vintage) give her the finishing touch. She is one of a kind...each whale that I make will be different, or you can request a mermaid or funky fish.

A lot of work went into this fun little dress and I hope your Princess enjoys wearing it as much as I enjoyed designing and making it. This one is a 3-4, ready to ship. Available in sizes 2-11. Thanks to my lovely model, Malorie!

The neckline and cuffs are finished with purple piping and the extra full skirt has plenty of twirlability for your little princess. The bodice is completely lined in muslin and it is constructed with french seams.
The pinafore ties on the sides and features wide eyelet ruffles. It is embellished with an apron fashioned from a vintage quilt square with hand applique. The unusual heavy cotton vintage lace was rescued from a dresser scarf. There are so many little girls who love pink and lavender, and this fits the bill! Simple peasant with extra full skirt (a generous 84"), it features enclosed elastic and finished seams. Worn now with a cardigan and tights, it can easily go into the warmer months, and the loose fit and elastic will give her still more wear as a top when it becomes too short to be worn as a dress.

Bright colors, goofy dogs...what more could your princess want for a play date or shopping trip with Mom? I have trimmed this little top with bright orange and the black capri pants have three colors of rickrack that pick up the dog colors. She will love the comfy ease of this set and Mom will love caring for it on laundry day...preshrunk fabric can just be tossed in the washer and dryer with no fuss. The top is pillowcase style without the safety concern of drawstrings and the capris have a non roll elastic waist. All seams are finished, of course. Come Fall, just add the little orange blouse. My little granddaughter wore hers all winter with an orange turtleneck and tights. When it gets too short for a dress, it is cute as a top over jeans or shorts.

The pockets have carrot appliques, heat fused then stitched with a close satin stitch. The carrot tops are green baby rickrack. The dress has french seams and top stitching and is finished off with carrot buttons down the front. Made from sturdy cotton ticking fabric in your choice of red and white or navy and white, it can be made in toddler sizes 1/2-4, as well as infant sizes. For $15 more, I cn add a little white shirt, or it can be worn in cooler weather with a t-shirt. The applique is hand cut and pieced, heat fused, then sewn on with a close satin stitch. All buttons are securely attached and all seams are finished. The seat had snaps for easy access. I can make these in any fabric and with any applique that you can dream up. I have one of these ready to ship in a 2T.

Smaller over all over, they are a bit more full in the diaper area and have loose elastic in the legs, but otherwise are made as well and have the same features as the toddler sizes. I have added double buttons to allow for growth...I know buttons can be moved down, but how many of you busy Moms would find the time? The sizes range from newborn to 18 months, and can be made in any fabric and with any applique that you like...just convo me with your ideas.

Fabric is washed and dried on hot so that there will be no shrinkage for you to deal with. I stand behind all of my work.

Little polka dot hens frolic among eggs on a sunny-side-up yellow background. The top is a loose fit and is trimmed in bright red. The polka dot capri pants, also trimmed in red, match the hens.

Your princess will get compliments whenever she wears this little outfit, and it is so comfortable with the loose fit and elastic waist pants that she will want to wear it all the time! This one is a 4/5 and is ready to ship, but there is a short turn around on other sizes.

The top is 100% cotton and the capri pants are a very sturdy poly cotton in a heavier weight...they can take whatever abuse your little one dishes out! I have no more green fabric, but can make this style in any fabric you choose. I have made it in corduroy as a jumper as well as with this sleeve which is fitted to the arm with a charming little pleat. Thanks to my lovely model, my granddaughter Emily. This little peasant top is made from 4 decades of vintage fabric. The plaid is a Dan river fabric from the 1950's, the tiny peach print is from the 1960's, the funky wild print (you guessed it!) the 70's, and the sweet sleeves are from the 1980's. The pattern is a new designer one from Lila Tueller! Trimmed in lace and fitted through the midriff, this is a totally figure flattering blouse. The fit is made possible by a side zipper. Available in sizes 8, 10 and 12, it runs a tiny bit small. Thanks to my lovely model, Emma.

It buttons down the back with tiny buttons and hand sewn buttonholes and the lace at the sleeves and neck is a beautiful quality. The fabric is white batiste and the seams are french. The bottom of the gown features more embroidery with boullion roses and satin ribbon. The hem is finished with the tinest fine stitches imaginable. This is a seldom seen treasure, meant for a very special baby.

Boy, did my grandson pop that bubble! They seem to come hardwired to love cars! I made this little John John with that in mind. A bias "highway" winds across the front, and button cars seem to all be headed to the same destination.

This suit is made from a heavy taupe drill fabric, sturdily constructed with double stitched flat felled seams. It can take whatever your little guy dishes out and still look nice enough for a visit to Grandma's. This size 2T buttons on the shoulders and has a snap seat for diapering ease. It just needs a pair of shoes and he is ready to go, although when the weather turns cooler the addition of a t shirt will look just as cute!

The BEST oversized blankets are on SALE...buy 3, get one almost free

$9.00
Compare sizes before you compare prices! You cannot buy receiving blankets like this in a store, and most of the ones sold on ETSY are quite a bit smaller. They are square, for starters. Did you ever try to swaddle a baby in a skimpy little rectangle? They are a generous size, depending on the width, usually 42-45 inches square. I buy a full yard and a third for each one but lose some of the length when I make sure the grain line is the same as the seam line.

They multi task: swaddle, cover, make floor blankets, nursing covers and generally become treasured lovies. Darling little Archer, not yet 2, needs his to go to sleep. My granddaughter is 14 and still sleeps with what is left of hers...it will probably be the "something old" when she marries. I make the babies in our family 10 each, which seems like a huge number until you realize how many go in the wash each day...drooled and spit up on or worse, and they wash like a dream.

These all are flannel, although I do Summer weight ones of plisse' as well. The plain ones are $9 and the ones with lace $12...a bargain when you realize that it takes 5 yards of lace to go around each one. For this sale they are $9 each (plain) or 4 for $30. Just add $3 for each that you want lace on. I have lots of other colors and prints...just let me know what you need...girl, boy, unisex, nursery colors...all alike or a mixture. They make a most welcome shower gift.
