This body or swim suit fits the vintage and mod barbie bodies. Made of cotton with tiny red stipes. The style is like a bathing suit but being made out of cotton I suspect it may be a bodysuit that was used with a skirt and jacket. No tags inside the suit. Seams and hems in good shape. There is a tiny hole about 1/8 inch below the waistline near the left side dart. It may not show in the photos. There is a large snap at back waist. This snap seems too large so it is likely a replacement snap. There are two red buttons on the straps and elastic loop at back of neck. These seem to be replacements since they are fairly large and very securely attached. No obvious stains, but fabric does show a bit of aging.

This is the Side Kick Dress and Cap for Francie, Twiggy or Casey. Sold by Mattel in 1967 and 1968. Long sleeve knee length dress of tiny navy and white check fabric. Eyelet trim on the sleeves and down front opening, Five tiny red buttons on the front. One snap and one Hook and Eye for closure. Orange grosgrain ribbon bow at neckline. Cap has matching check fabric with eyelet brim and grosgrain ribbon. Bow at back of cap with streamers. Fabric is in good shape, no obvious holes or stains. Seams intact, one tiny thread pull in left armpit area. Eyelet has slight yellowing overall. Ribbons and eyelet could use some ironing. Ribbon may have faded some from the red it was supposed to be. Francie 1965 tag in side seam. Buttons are very secure. In very nice shape for its age.

This is a red Helenca Swimsuit for Barbie. Many of the early Barbies came with this style bathing suit. This suit is likely from 1962 or 1963 and came with one of my first Barbies. Suit is in good condition considering its age. Seams are good and have no gaps. No holes in fabric. Color is even. The hems on both armholes and one of the leg openings are good. The other leg opening hem needs some repair. Fabric is there, it just needs to be resewn in position. The neck and back opening hem needs resewing in the front and lower side down to back. These hems can be fixed also. There are two small dark stains on the front. They are hard to see and may not show in the photos. Size is less than 1/8 inch in size. No tag in the suit.
