Do you ever look up at the sky and wonder how far up the blue goes? I know there are scientific answers to how far up the perception of the blue goes, but I don't always think about the scientific side of things.

These beautiful earrings are frosted blue glass. The same shade as the perfect summer evening sky with just a very thin veil of clouds. The large blue crystal is bordered on both ends with smaller, lighter blue crystals.

These are strung onto silver plated headpins and then onto silver plated ear wires.

These are perfect for every day wear, or a casual night out.

Bracelet to go with Stitch Markers

This is a totally new item for me. This is part of a set, but you get to choose the parts separately.

This is a bracelet that I designed to be similar to a charm bracelet. However, the charms are stitch markers for knitters! This will make for a great gift for anyone you know who knits.

The bracelet is silver plated cable chain with a super strong silver plated magnetic clasp. Along the length of the bracelet are silver plated lobster claw clasps at regular intervals. The magnetic clasps are so strong that you are actually more likely to break the chain, than have the magnet let go and lose your bracelet.

The bracelet is purchased separately so that you can also add a set (or two or three) of stitch markers. The markers are then attached to the lobster claws and can be removed when needed during a knitting project.

This way, the stitch markers aren't as easily lost, and make for lovely jewelry at the same time!

The first picture is a picture of the actual bracelet. No stitch markers, nothing fancy. You don't have to buy my stitch markers for these. If you already have some lovely stitch markers on closed loops (this won't work with markers that you twist into the yarn), then you could buy just the bracelet and use your own markers.

The second picture in this item is an example of a bracelet with 2 sets of stitch markers attached. The bracelet purchased will not come with the stitch markers pictured.

Oregon Coast Spouting Horn at Depoe Bay Matted Art Photograph 8x10

If you drive along the Oregon Coast, you will get some amazing views.

If you drove along the Oregon Coast 60 years ago, you not only got amazing views, you also got amazing spouts of water shooting up over the Oregon Coast Highway in various places.

These are often small lava tubes in the rock that the water is funneled into during high tides. Many years ago, the water would rocket through the tubes and shoot up into the air and shower down onto the people driving on the highway. Like very active, and predictable rainfall.

Time and water have worn away at the horns and they don't spout the way they used to. But every so often, when you get exceptional high tides, they still have some Get Up and Go!

I managed to be down on the Oregon Coast during a period of phenomenally high tides last fall and I was able to capture several images of the spouting horns doing what they do best.

This photo is normally matted with a single mat, suitable for framing.

However, I have a spectacular deal on this photo. For the purchase price which covers the cost of the photo and a single mat, I will upgrade the mat to be a double-mat, with a fantastic color combination. This is beautiful, and ready to put into an 11x14 frame.

As soon as I can, I will get pictures of the matted picture and add them to the listing. My battery died before I got to this one.

Sundrops on Moss necklace

I love Moss Agate. It is so variable and so beautiful in all of its varieties.

This is a very organic looking moss agate donut. It is almost entirely green and white. There is a tiny bit of brown in some spots, and various shades of green, but that's about it.

This lovely stone is wrapped into a beautifully formed wire bail. This bail was made by hand and together the stone and bail measure 1 1/2 inches long. The wire swirls down in front of the stone like sunlight sweeping down into a forest glade.

The beautiful pendant is strung on a 22 inch chain, and is secured with a beautiful floral S-clasp.

The six year old next door loves this necklace and has hinted broadly (as only a six year old can) that I should give it to her. I told her that I will make her one of her very own when she is older (and doesn't break all of her jewelry.)

Dancing with the Wind

Have you ever stood outside when a strong wind come whistling out of nowhere and swirls all around you? You turn just because it feels like you should.

I had that exact same feeling when designing this piece. I was originally going to wrap a different piece in a different color of wire, and when I looked down, there were 5 strands of silver. The pieces were supposed to be cut longer in length, since the other piece was larger, but these were cut exactly for this beautiful piece of Labradorite.

This is a large puffed rectangle of Blue Flash Labradorite. As the light flows across the surface of this stone, you will get flashes of blues and greens from deep under the surface of the jewel.

The silver bands around the outside hug the outside of the stone, and circle up to form the bail of the pendant. The bands that didn't go into the bail, swirl beautifully down across the face of the stone. They remind me very strongly of the wind.

This lovely pendant is then strung onto a 20 inch silver plated chain with a beautiful spiral carved tube of green flash labradorite on the end. This way you have flash both front and back.

Imagine the kiss of the sunshine against your skin while you wander between a stream and a forest glade. Greens, blues, greys, all kissed with the gold of the sunshine.

Those are all the things that I was thinking about when I was busy wrapping this piece.

This is a beautiful tear drop shaped bead of Blue Ribbon Jasper. It is wrapped with gold and copper wire. The gold holds the stone, and the copper holds the gold.

The gold sweeps across the face of the stone like sunshine slanting through the trees.

The pendant is 2 1/2 inches tall from the top of the wire bail to the bottom of the stone wrapping. This is then suspended on a 20 inch gold plated chain.

Okay, I admit it. I've never seen Steel Magnolias. But several friends have, and they told me that these pieces needed to be related and be titled after the Steel Magnolias wedding.

I nodded my head sagely and decided that I might as well since I didn't have a better thought in mind for this.

This is a beautiful necklace made with freshwater pearls that have been tinted a very delicate pink. The pearls are almost exactly the same color as the rose quartz drops and the rose quartz heart. However, the rose quartz is translucent and the pearls are not. These are very difficult to photograph. Getting the colors to show up at all close to what they look like in person took forever!

However, that said, this is a spectacularly lovely 19 1/2 inch long necklace of pink pearls and rose quartz, all on hand formed wrapped loops made with gold plated wire. The clasp is a hand formed and hammered S-clasp, however I can add some gold chain and a lobster claw style clasp if you prefer. You can either add that as a note, or convo me if you would prefer a lobster claw.

This necklace is designed to go with the Blush and Bashful on Gold bracelet.

These are handmade, though, so all the pearls have differences between their wrapping.

This bracelet has an S-clasp made from hand formed and hammered gold plated wire. If you wish for the bracelet to be a bit longer, please let me know and I can add 1/2 of gold chain so it's variable in length. Or I can even add another pearl.

Crystal Memories earrings

I know it shows my age and television preferences, but there's an episode of Buck Rogers (the television series from the 80's) where Buck and Wilma get help from a deaf girl to escape a trap. The girl has a memory crystal which allows her to see pictures of her family. Much like digital keychains now.

These earrings are much smaller than the memory crystal in the show, but they very much remind me of that.

These are made with rock crystal that has been faceted so that it shimmers and catches the light in every direction. The crystals are threaded onto sterling silver headpins that then have a hand made wrapped loop at the top. The wrapped loop is very secure so that the crystal can't fall off. The sterling pins are then suspended from sterling silver ear wires.

I don't normally work with sterling because it is more expensive than I can generally afford. So this is a rare opportunity to get one of my pieces that is made with the more expensive materials.

This is a beautiful and delicate bracelet. I was daydreaming as I was out running errands with a friend and we passed several beautiful blooming lilac bushes. The curve of the branches and the delicate color of the blossoms combined to inspire this beautiful bracelet.

This is a 19 1/2 inch long necklace made with 2 different types of silver plated chain, a strand of lavender tinted freshwater pearls that are all on hand made wire-wrapped loops, and 1 strand of purple tinted crackle glass disks that are also on hand made wire-wrapped loops.

All 4 strands are joined together inside silver colored, highly decorated metal cones. The strands can be left to dangle in graduated lengths, or you can twist one side of the necklace to add texture and interest to the 4 strands.

Above the cones the necklace switches to chain, and one side has a silver plated lobster claw. This means that the necklace can be just about any length you want or need it to be. If you need the necklace to be longer than the 19 1/2 inches long, let me know and I can add some chain for you.

This is a beautiful necklace for any outfit, and is designed to match up the Silver Lilacs bracelet.

Earrings - The Eyes Have it

The phrase "The Ayes have it!" came to mind as I was making this pair of earrings, and it never went away. Of course, I did have to change the spelling, of course. :)

These earrings are simpler than the Little Three Eyes earrings. These earrings are made with silver plated headpins, onto which are strung large glass seed beads, and then glass beads with black on white spots that look like eyes.

The head pins are finished with a wrapped loop. Since these are handmade, these do not match exactly. this just adds to the charm of the earrings!

The head pins are attached to silver plated ear wires. These will add charm and whimsy to any outfit. I know a six year old who wants these for her very own, but doesn't have pierced ears... and her parents won't let her get earrings until she is older. :)

There is a Grimm's fairy tale about 3 sisters. One sister had 1 eye, one sister had 2 eyes, and the third sister had 3 eyes. The sister with 2 eyes is tormented by her sisters, and starved.

She is given a magic charm to get food, and then another charm to make her sisters sleep when they try to find out why she is no longer starving.

At the end of the story, Little Two-Eyes marries a knight and is taken away from her mean sisters.

These earrings always remind me of the story, since these are covered with little black and white spots that look exactly like eyes.

These are so much fun and just darling. These beads are strung onto silver plated headpins and the pins are finished with a wrapped loop. The loops are attached to a silver plated earwire. Each earwire has 3 strands of eye beads.

These are made with dark blue goldstone bead disks on the bottom to support the confetti beads in the middle. These confetti beads are imported directly from Nigeria for me and very few others have anything like them.

The confetti beads are glass beads in opaque black, with spots of color scattered all over the surface. These are then topped with a wood disk beads of bright blue. Just to cap them off, I also added 2 small gold colored round beads just for added brightness.

These would go very well with the Copper Color-Splosion bracelet that I also have listed for sale.

I saw these beautiful crackled glass beads and the color just called to me. It's the color of wildflower honey in sunlight, and just so beautiful.

The gold color of the beads glows against any backgrounds. The color alone draws your attention, and then the shape of the beads and the glitter and flash inside each one makes you desperate to touch all of them.

Then the beautiful glass pendant of red-orange is shot through with beautiful gold shimmers to echo the honey of the other beads and the chain.

This necklace is just over 20 inches long on the inside strand. The hook on he end is a beautiful gold plated S-hook with a pair of celtic knots on each side.

All beads and the pendant are made entirely of glass, so there is some amount of fragility to this necklace. Probably not a good necklace choice for bungie jumping.

The necklace comes with a pair of matching earrings. The earrings are the same honey colored crackle glass beads, they are on gold plated wire and have a hand-made decorative loop on the bottom.

Dangling from the pendant are black czech glass beads with 48 facets per bead, and clear czech crystal beads.

This is a beautiful double strand of brightly colored glass beads that are all separated with silver plated spacer beads. There are two kinds of spacers, smooth and ridged. This adds a great extra element of texture and interest to the beautiful strands of beads.

These beads are a selection of random beads in multiple colors. You get black, clear, white, red, yellow, blue, and a variety of other colors. These are just spectacular.

All of these beads are carefully selected and checked for sharp edges or cracks. All beads with cracks or sharp edges are removed and are NOT USED.

Many many years ago, I had a friend with a crystal ball that fit in your fist. This was an unusual crystal ball since the "crystal" was a slightly blue-tinged milky crystal glass. If you set it in the sun at the correct angle, it could set fire to things...

I looked for years to figure out what that crystal was... and I finally found it. It's an opalized glass called "Sea Opal". This is a beautiful glass that has a gorgeous color to it. It is clear, but tinged with white and blue colors.

These earrings are 4 small spheres and a lovely diamond shaped bead in the center. And if you need a magnifying glass when wearing these earrings, you can use the center stone as a magnifier! How nifty is that?!

These are fun earrings that will add a sense of fun and whimsy to any outfit. These are handmade, so not perfectly identical. The beads are suspended on gold-plated head pins and then attached to gold plated ear wires.

This is a wonderful pair of bracelets for anyone who likes to make a definite statement!

These are beautiful red glass beads alternating with silver plated beads and black wood beads. These have 3 tiny red bells on each end that tinkle beautifully.

In old movies, books, and even some cartoons, (especially Scooby Doo) villains would often say "Curses, Foiled Again!" after their plans have been derailed.

Just for the Heck of it Necklace

I was inspired to do this piece because I was staring at a yard of this very light, aluminum chain that I had picked up years ago. I really liked it; the links were large, but not huge, and it was so light you could easily wear a multi-strand necklace of it without ever feeling it.

I really like the look of larger link chain, I think it can really set off an outfit. But most of the chain I have in stock for making jewelry is made up of much much smaller links.

This one was fun. What you see is a dark aluminum chain, each link is just under an inch long. To this chain, I have added lucite bicone beads in three different shades. There is 1 clear one that is Aurora Borealis coated, so it shimmers with colors when the light hits it. That bead is in the center as a focal point. The lower chain then has 2 smokey colored beads, and the inner chain also has 2 more beads in a nearly opaque black color.

The clasp is a patina'ed bronze, so it has some golden undertones, but it is a beautiful S-Hook, that hooks directly into the links so the necklace is quite adjustable.

This is a very fun and lightweight piece, which would go nicely with the Light Touch earrings. It would go quite nicely with casual or dressy clothes and for just about any situation.

I tried to think up another "donut" themed name, but couldn't come up with one. :) I think I got donut-ed out. However, when I sat back and looked at this again, it occurred to me that since this was done with paddles and not headpin, it looked an awful lot like feathers! And with an agate donut, a Rock, if you will... it made sense to me to call this piece Roc Feathers! (A Roc is a giant bird in a lot of middle eastern stories.)

This is an Agate Donut with a cascade of crystal beads in rainbow touched black, pure black, rainbow touched clear, and my very favorite, rainbow touched vitrail. The vitrail is my favorite because it's just spectacular, it's almost metallic inside, but has greens and silvers and all kinds of fantastic colors to it.

This is strung on a chain that is adjustable from 16 inches to 19 inches, and it can be made longer if you like.

This is a fantastic necklace, a great pendant, and one that I fell in love with as I made it. This is definitely a one of a kind piece, since no two agate donuts are ever the same.

This would be great with everyday outfits or a dressier outfit. This is a great conversation piece as well, I have had more people stop me when I wear mine and ask where I got it, than any other necklace I own.

I have never liked heavy earrings. So when I make earrings for myself I always try to keep them as lightweight as possible.

I figured that there must be other people out there who think the same way I do, which is why I make most of my earrings as light as I can.

To this end, I created these lovely and delicate earrings that I called Light Touch for two reasons. The first is because they are as light as possible, and the second is because when the light touches them they gleam and shimmer with gorgeous colours.

Swallowing Darkness necklace

This necklace is one of my very favorites for everything. I made one for myself and sometimes I just put it on my head and wear it with the net part dangling down to my eyes. It's wonderful. :)

This is a beautiful net of red aurora borealis glass beads all of them carefully wire wrapped by hand and strung together. The third row of beads is why I decided to call this Swallowing Darkness. The third row is made up of black aurora beads instead of red. But you have to look closely to be able to tell for sure. The reds are 2 different shades, there is a brighter red, and then a super dark garnet that is nearly black. The lowest point of the net is a doubled bead. It has one large and one smaller bead on it.

This is a fantastic necklace for wearing with either a high necked or a low necked top. With a high neck, it will drape against the fabric, and of course with the lower neck it will drape gently across skin. Either way, it will definitely show off to an advantage.

This is on an 18 inch chain, but the lobster claw can grip on any link of the chain, so it is adjustable down to just about any size.

Rose Red wirewrapped necklace

There are so many different variations of the little "Roses are Red" poem. Add to that tons of different fairy tales with a character named Rose Red. My favorite is one of the oldest, "Snow White and Rose Red" where a bear comes and stays with the girls and their mother every night through a very cold winter. He just wants to be warm.

This beautiful pendant is definitely warm in tone and color, if not to the immediate touch. This is a hand carved Red Jasper cabochon. This cab was carved by a friend of mine. It is then wrapped very carefully in a warm red-brown colored wire. The wire is all hand wrapped and hand formed.

The pendant is then strung onto a beautiful, delicate, 19-inch antiqued copper figaro-style chain.

Teeter-Totter necklace

The idea of looking at the world at a slant takes on a whole new meaning with this necklace.

Nothing will make this pendant stand up straight. Well, nothing short of glue, anyway. Yes, that was a joke, you can laugh. I did.

This is a lovely red pendant with black floral patterns. It is made of resin, so it's not as fragile as glass.

The pendant is suspended from a handmade bail of silver plated wire. The wire then sweeps gracefully from the top of the bail, down through the center of the pendant, and swoops back up from behind into the front where it curls into a pair of lovely spirals that hare hammered for strength and texture.

The pendant is strung onto a 20-inch chain, which is decorated with 4 beautiful little garnet rondelles. The clasp is a silver plated lobster claw, so this necklace is extremely adjustable.

Red Kudzu Necklace

Have you ever seen kudzu? How about the movie Jumanji? The plant that grabs the police car, folds it up, and yanks it away was based on the kudzu plant.

Kudzu is a vine native to China, Japan, and other areas of Southeast Asia. It is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. One of it's names is "mile a minute vine".

This necklace is a beautiful red disk of resin that has black floral designs in the resin. Around this resin disk curl strands of silver plated wire. The wire is coiled and curled, and mimics vines quite well, in my opinion. Dangling from curls in the wire are small metal leaves, and two beautiful garnets.

All the wire is hand wrapped and hand formed. The pendant is then strung onto a 20 inch silver plated chain with a small toggle clasp on the end.

Copper Color-splosion bracelet

This fun bracelet is made with beautiful beads that my sister brought me from Africa. The beads are blue, brown, and black glass with hand applied spots of color all over them.

All of these are strong onto copper wirewrapped loops. The bracelet clasp is made by hand out of the same wire as the beads loops.

This bracelet is amazingly beautiful, and gets even more spectacular in the sunshine. The sun shines through some of the beads and drips color down your wrist. It's very distracting when you drive while wearing this bracelet.

This bracelet is 8 inches long, but can be made shorter, if you so desire.

This beautiful necklace is a green stone, of unknown material. It is a beautiful green with a delicate webbing of black all across the surface. This has beautiful large facets across the face of the stone that catch the light in all directions.

The stone is wrapped in 20 gauge black wire. This is beautifully highlighted by not one, but two delicate strands of wire cradling the stone.

The wire then is gathered at the top into a bail and decorated with hand made swirls.

The necklace is strung onto an 18-inch black velveteen cord.

Fireworks Cluster bracelet

Delicate silver chain is decorated with little clusters of tiny colored glass crystals. This is very reminiscent of small fireworks popping all around your wrist!

Each cluster is made up of 4 tiny glass crystals that are about 4 mm in size. These are put on silver headpins with a very secure wrapped loop, and then strung on a jump ring and attached to a link on the bracelet.

Leonid Shower Earrings

In early November of this year, the Leonid Meteor shower will happen, and it's supposed to be one of the better shows of the last few years.

Since that's several months away, I wanted shooting stars NOW.

So I made these wonderful earrings.

Silver plated ear wires support a beautiful black glass crystal 8mm bead. The bead is hand faceted and has a fantastic shine and glitter.

Below the bead is a delicate shower of 6 strands of chain. At the bottom of the chain strands are 6 tiny little star dangles. Each star is hand hammered to have a similar sparkle to the beads.

These are wonderful earrings, super light and brilliantly sparkly.

Gone Fishing Hairsticks

This pair of hairsticks is lots of fun and very pretty.

6 inches of dark stained wood are topped with a lovely bead of Howlite. The howlite has been dyed a beautiful blue, so it is a gorgeous blue with dark blue and black streaks. It is very reminiscent of water. Dangling from the bead are 2 chains. The chains have delicate blue freshwater pearls that have been carefully strung onto wire with wrapped loops on both ends. 1 chain has 3 pearls and the other chain has 2 pearls. The ends of each of the chains has a large loop with a quartz crystal fish suspended from the loop.

These fun hairsticks are great for long hair or medium length. I wear hairsticks often, and I have medium length, fine hair. But I have no trouble with using the sticks.

With hairsticks like these, you will always be successful on your fishing trip!

Spring Stone Earrings

These beautiful earrings are made of vintage green coin shaped crystals and vintage blue and green round crystals, both strung onto a hand shaped, and hand hammered shaped wire. These are then attached to french earwires.

These earrings are gorgeous, light-weight, and perfect for any time of day or any outfit.

These are definitely one of a kind, since I have no more of these crystals, and you can never make the shaped wire the same twice. That being said, these earrings are not exactly identical. I did the best I could to make them as close as possible, but there will always be slight variations.

The hammering on the wire gives a beautiful shimmer to the metal. These will be conversation starters left, right, and center.

Say your Prayers Pearl Necklace

This is a fantastic 46-inch long strand of pearls. I love this necklace because it is long enough to be a ton of different styles, without having to have a ton of different necklaces.

This necklace is long enough that even when doubled, it can go over my head (and I have a pretty good sized head! :)

You can wear it as 1 long strand, or two same length strands, or 2 strands of different lengths. You could make 2 loops and wear one as a choker, and the other as a long dangling strand.

I suppose you could even knot it, like the long strands in the 20's and 30's, but I would probably stay away from that too much, just because it would put a lot of stress on the metal links.

This necklace is made in the same style as a rosary (hence the name. :) There are 10 of the silvery pearls, and then a slightly larger space and a black pearl, then back to another 10 silvers.

These pearls are Swarovski Crystal Pearls. They have a core of Swarovski pearls in the center of the pearl to give added luminescence. They are gorgeous and super smooth to the touch. I LOVE to run these pearls through my fingers.

All of these pearls are on handmade wire wrapped loops and then strung by hand on the chain links.

Holiday Perfection Hairsticks

This fun pair of hair sticks are 9 inches long, GREAT for long hair! They are made of horn that is carefully carved into the long tapering shape necessary for going through hair.

The end is decorated with marine charms, like dolphins, sand dollars, and sea stars. (See? SURF and TURF!)

These hair sticks are truly one of a kind, since I cannot get more of the charms to make these ever again!

These will be the talk of the holiday party, or grocery store, where ever they get worn, they will get noticed.

These are a lot lighter than they look, the charms are all small and rather light, the length of the dangle is only about 3 inches. Great for any upswept hairstyle.

These would also make a great gift idea.

These hairsticks are too long for any gift boxes I have been able to find so far. Therefore, they will be very carefully packaged in tissue, a gift bag, bubble-wrap, and then in a shipping box. Just to be sure.

I went and got some friends who were willing to model some of my pieces for me. And this was one of the big favorites of the night.

This is a beautiful piece of stone, possibly granite. This has been dyed a beautiful deep blue.

This has been wrapped gently in gorgeous black wire that hugs its curves gently and then wraps up around the top of the stone before sweeping gracefully across the front and down.

This is hung on an 18 inch velveteen round "ribbon". There is a small amount of chain on the end, so there is some adjustability.

This pendant is about 2 inches in length from top to bottom. It's a beautiful piece that attracts all kinds of stares and compliments.

There is no way the pictures can convey the beauty of the necklace, just trust me. It's gorgeous!
