VINTAGE BEADS Rose Silver Metallic Antique Seed Beads

$25.00
These are lovely warm silver semi-matte metallic glass beads. The hanks are imperfect because the thread is so old, but you will get this: 12- 21" strands, 20 beads per inch. This is the minimum you will receive as the threads are shot and many of the beads are loose... so, you basically get a lot of bonus beads! They are equivalent to 12/o- 13/o size. We can assume these were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920's.

This is the last "hank" I have left, so the majority of the beads are loose... and you make out like a bandit with them!

Enjoy♥

The smaller is 6mm long by 8mm wide. The larger is more elongated at 13mm long by 11mm wide.

These beads are wonderfully reflective and have a great milky blue and yellow opal color and feel. Opalite is manmade to look like opal without having the opal price! It is often included in with the semi-precious stones although it is glass. This material is also called: sea opal.

See how the early morning light is casting colorful shadows in some of the photographs.

It is a seven sided shape, faceted like a beveled mirror with the point going up. The stone is alive with color, and as you turn and tilt it to the light the rainbow colors explode in a slash of firey color across the stone. This slash of color is on both sides, like an insight amidst brooding clouds. Labradorite seems to be lit from within.

This stone has the aurora borealis in all it's glory. There is every imaginable color in a deep, intense prismatic rainbow. There is a hole for hanging at the top of the pendant in the middle of one of the flat bevels. This stone is magnificent on both sides. You will have fun playing hide and seek with the colors as you turn the stone in the light.
Height: 38 mm
Width: 29 mm
Thickness: 8 mm
Hole size: 1+ mm
**********************************************************************
Labradorite: “the temple of the stars”, insight, endurance, intuition, calming, destiny, Sagittarius, Scorpio, Leo, the numbers 6 and 7

These pictures hardly do this piece justice. That being said...

This is a very special piece! This even has a few rainbow sparlkes included in it, but they will only be seen when you turn it in your hand. As you may or may not know, rainbows in the quartz crystals are formed by water inclusions way deep with in it when it was formed many zillions of years ago. Isn't Nature awesome!

This piece is has very clean faceting, all triangles, which form a sort of ziggurat-like pattern which descends into actual pyramids on the lower part of the carving. This piece was carved with a lot of thought and deliberation, and the energy of the crystal is greatly enhanced.

There is a 2mm hole straight through the top horizonally drilled. Completely clean! Amazing. The crystal will free stand as it has a small hexagonal bottom as well as an even smaller one on the top. I love this crystal! It is so symmetrical and perfect.

This is calling out to be included in a piece of sacred jewelry. Or, it might just like to hang out in the sun for a while as a suncatcher!

Height: 40mm (about 2 3/4th inches)
Widest part: 25mm (about an inch)

(This really needs to be put in a small Priority mail box to both protect and honor it. A cord will be included for immediate use while you are figuring out what make!)
***********************************************************************
Quartz Crystal: piezoelectric (pressure sensitive) and pyroelectric (heat sensitive), amplifies energies and thoughts, harmony and alignment, “stone of power”, communication with other realms, “love, light, and harmony of the planet”, balance and protection, vibrates to the number 4, relates to all the signs of the zodiac

This textile is classified as upholstery, but it is soft enough for clothing. The background color is a rich purple. The details and designs are in red, yellow, medium blue, and white. The reverse side of the fabric is just as pretty and reflects the yellows, reds and purples. Personally, I am one of those people who would have no qualms about using the reverse as a trim and vis versa! Considering the width, there is plenty in one yard for a number of projects.

The fabric content tests out as primarily cotton.

Length: 1 yard (36 inches)
Width: 52 inches

->At the time of this listing, there are four and a half yards available. He is very gentle and such a home body. He is carved of fish rock, a form of serpentine, a traditional material which has been used for stone carvings since ancient times. It is white with red flecks.

He stands on his own and would be a terrific addition to your collection. Or, you can 'bundle' him. Or, he would probably be very happy to be encorporated into a piece of jewelry. You can see that there is a hole straight down through the middle. There is wonderful detail, especially the face and his armor shell. He is pictured from both sides as well.

This piece is also vintage. I purchased this sweetie at Indian Jewelers Supply in Albuqueque in 1980.

Traditionally, the armadillo has significance as the keeper of the home. The attributes of Armadillo: gentle, quiet reserve, ability to live in a niche of their own, solitude.

Length: 40mm
Height: 16mm
Thickness: 8mm
Thickness:

Also known as Huiracocha, Tuchapacha, and Tuapaca, he was the God of Sun and Sky worshipped from 1100BCE to at least 1500 CE.

The brooch is stamped 800 (for 80% pure silver) and has a makers mark which looks like the feathered serpent deity which is an iconic symbol for many pre-Columbian cultures. The important thing is that it is signed by the maker.

The age of this piece is mid 20th century- 1940's to 1950's. These rare and unusual crosses are hinged, and this one is at least 150 years old. It shows a lot of wear which adds to its mystique. That is part of why I love this one- the fact that it is not perfect and that it has definitely been worn and loved. Part of my collection, the replacement cost for this cross alone is close to the price of the entire set. This set requires a special home with someone who will appreciate the ancient beauty of this piece.

Rich red coral and sterling silver beads from India make up the body of the necklace and are reflected in the earrings. This is a listing for an entire 16 inch strand of rich, red bamboo coral (also called branch coral) pendant beads. They are drilled horizontally through the top of one end, so they will hang nicely! All of the beads are perfect. The lengths are what I would consider ‘medium’ and there are many possibilities for pairs, many light enough for dramatic earrings as well.

There are 51 beads in all.
Lengths are on average 30 to 35mm.
Width is generally 8-10mm.
The pieces are basically straight with interesting knobs and quasi-branches.

These beads are shipped in a small box due to their size.
***********************************************************************
Coral: inner peace, diplomacy, protection, intuition, harmony with Nature, uplifting, Pisces, Libra, the master number 22 and the number 4

With it's four petals, it looks like a dogwood blossom to me. This piece has a lot of detail and dimension to it, looking good both from the perspective of a square and that of a diamond.

Not sure how to classify this- cabochon or pendant. It is fairly flat on the back (not completely flat) so that is it's cabochon quality. The back is also something of a base, and it has the floral shape repeated there but smaller. There is a small hole in the center of the flower which presents many possibilities for both affixing something there (like another stone bead or a pearl) and bringing the wire out and around the edges to form a loop for hanging. Voila! A pendant!

Measured as a square, the sides are 40mm.
Measured tip to tip as a diamond, it is 55mm across.
At the thickest: 10mm
Triangle Gemstone and Silver Pendant

Although it is not stamped, I am certain that it is handmade as well as either sterling silver or fine silver. The design is very interesting- a takeoff on the eye in the pyramid design (seen on our money) which is an ancient symbol. The internal triangle of labradorite is surrounded by three "eyes" with faceted peridot. The corners of the pyramid are beautiful faceted citrine baguettes of rich gold. All of the stones are very high quality.

This piece could actually be vintage, but I am not certain, so it is listed simply as a pendant in supplies.

This is an equilateral triangle. The sides measure 43mm. The height from the top of the locket bail which includes the loop measures 50mm to the bottom of the lower eye.

The locket bail is large enough to accomodate a thick chain or cord.

They are pictured on both sides. Although it is not apparent in the photographs, the unicorn is somewhat darker and the dolphin is very light. They both have a lot of detail considering their size!

These creatures are carved from fossilized walrus ivory from under the snows of Alaska. The dolphin is swimming over to you at 1 1/8th inches in length. The unicorn head is almost one inch measured on the diagonal from the horn to the back of her mane.

These pieces would make a great addition to anyone's collect as well as being perfect to work into a special piece of jewelry.

An ID on the designer would be most appreciated, and I have searched to no avail alllll over the internet. Nevertheless, these were really expensive earrings in their day! They are big, very interesting looking and super light weight. Modernist geometric works of art!

The materials are acrylic plastic, metalized plastic and metal. There are ten (10) of these beauties available at the time of this listing. They are all pretty much identical- deep opaque blue with touches of a lighter blue throughout them. They are carved to look like two intelocking rounds as a long almost squarish round shape. I think it is a really neat looking organic shape. Just look at the pictures! LOL

Sapphire, like ruby, is very heavy. Each bead weighs in at 5.45 grams. That would be right on the border for earrings. These beads are priced as low as possible. There are two compartments: one has spring loaded coin holders (for trolly fare!) and a compact with mirror which opens to hold face powder and a tiny powder puff; the other has a clip to hold the lady's calling cards or perhaps some folding money. This piece is hallmark stamped sterling on both the inside and the outside and sports a sterling silver chain handle as well.
STONE BEADS 12mm Round Hawks Eye Tigers Eye

All this time, I had no idea that what we call blue tiger's eye is actually it's own stone, a natural stone too, and is called Hawk's Eye. It has also been referred to as Falcon's Eye. How exotic and powerful!

It is part of the chalcedony family and has chatoyancy like many other members of that family. It is related to another incredible stone called pietersite, and often, blue pietersite is refered to as hawks eye. As you who shop with me know, I like to add the metaphysical properties when applicable, and I am researching this as we speak. I do know that the colors are caused by the same phenomenon which causes labradorite chatoyancy.

These are particularly colorful stones. There are 16 pieces- all 12mm rounds- strung on elastic material so you can wear it as is as a bracelet while you are figuring out what to do with it! The stones look black at first, and then as you stare, you will see gold, blue and greenish flashes.

Just beautiful!

They are a rectangle which also has a wavy pinwheel effect which make the beads have curves which are unlikely in most rectangular beads. The Russian jade is a lovely, subtle moss green with lots of texture and grey/black markings.

The full strand is pictured from both sides, flipped horizontally. There is a minor flaw in one of the beads which is hard even for me to find! There are 11 pieces on this strand.

Size: 35 x 25 mm
Thickness: 5 mm

It was sold to me as blue tigers eye, and this is a natural stone. I also found out that it is more likely to be called Hawk's Eye, and someone informed me that she had purchased it named...Falcon's Eye!

It is it's own stone and has healing properties which I am researching. I am also given to understand from some of my research that this is not a particularly common stone.

Note the beautiful chatoyancy in blue with hints of gold. Wow... very charming, indeed.

This is a listing for 25 beads which are strung onto a stretch bracelet arrangement, so I suppose you could wear it as is. The size of the highly polished round beads is 7 mm. This would make the strand approximately seven (7) inches.

I have come upon a treaure trove of all sizes and some shapes of these wonderful stones at closeout prices. Please CONVO if you would like more information!

Thanks♥

These stampings are made of a mixture of metals and the patina on them goes from gold to bronze to copper. There are four more pieces available with various differences in the coloration of the front side. This pair is fairly evenly matched on the front. The stamping is hefty- 1.5mm and convex. The front features a highly detailed native American Indian in profile which is raised and two symbols ( a bow and arrow, and a tomahawk) which are inscribed.

Needless to say, they are unique. He is just so sweet and such a home body. He is carved of Arizona serpentine which has a pinkish hue, a very traditional material which has been used for carvings since ancient times. He stands on his own and would be a terrific addition to your collection. Or, you can 'bundle' him. Or, he would probably be very happy to be encorporated into a piece of jewelry. You can see that there is a hole straight down through the middle.

Length of this dear one: 40mm
Height: 17mm
Thickness of body: 10mm

Two are octagonal, and one is seven sided (septagonal?)

OK. Here's the thing with this collection. They have some great color, but they have to really be turned or laid down to see it. One of them looks better upside down. Now, I am certain that they can be used...if only to play with and watch the fireworks within. But they do not make good pendants per say. Still, they have a lot of colors: blues, purples, greens, lit from within like all labradorite!

So, I am selling them as a discounted lot. What you see is what you get: plenty of color, but you have to work for it a little. If you just plain like labradorite, you will love these!

Sizes are generally: 37 mm tall by 30 mm wide by 6 mm thick.
***********************************************************************
Labradorite: “the temple of the stars”, insight, endurance, intuition, calming, destiny, Sagittarius, Scorpio, Leo, the numbers 6 and 7

The beads are solid and substancial in fabulous colors which work with one another well as to color value and saturation.

Each length of these beads includes:
2- 15mm
2- 12mm
2- 10mm
4- 8mm
24- 3mm

They are strung on filament with a silver metal bead tip and ring at each end. I would consider them as being temporarily strung.

COLORS AVAILABLE:
17 black
13 dark brown
3 cobalt blue
6 rich red
4 olive green

Apparently, this member of the quartz family is found only in one location on earth: MINAS GERAIS in the Minas State in Brazil. Lodolite, which means ‘mud’ in Greek, has mineral inclusions. The orangey red in this strand is from cadmium. Lodolite is a powerful healing stone which purportedly increases your psychic abilities and gives you the 'key to your inner knowledge' from past life times. This is a rare healing stone.

These highly polished 12mm round beads are a beautiful, semi-opaque to opaque orangey red. There are 17 beads in this lot which is strung onto an elastic material as a stretchy bracelet. Go ahead and wear it as is while you are deciding which project into which these beads will go. In the meantime, maybe your ESP will come alive!

Bead size: 12 mm round

There are twenty-two (22) pieces on this strand. They are carved on both the front and the back! Being obviously hand carved, they are all individual. There is enough commonality to the shapes and sizes to make quite a good number of pairs.

Although very delicate looking, this is shell, so it is very tough! The shell is essentially white with the pearlescent shimmer on many of the leaves. Some of the shell material has some golden brown accents. This is high quality carving and quite unusual.

Average size leaf: about 35 x 25 mm (a bit over an inch long), some are smaller, some larger

When shipped, I will be taking the beads off the strand and wrapping them up well.

It is seven sided with the point facing down and beveled facets like a mirror. This one is super vibrant on the A side with peacock blues, pinks, reds, greens and purples. It is more subtle on the B side, but there is a little flash. As you turn this pendant, the more colors you will see.

Labradorite seems as if it were lit from within by the aurora borealis. It is flat on the back like a cabochon and from the top, the hanging hole cannot be seen, so it could be used as if it were a cabochon. Look at the great earth tones: tan, brown, grey, umber.

This little fellow is very ancient- between 65 to 175 million years old! Ammonites are related to snails and have that beautiful spiral which is inherent in nature, also an illustration of the Fibonacci sequence from which the Golden Mean or Golden Section is derived.

This ammonite in matrix is a domed, polished piece which has lots of possibilities...from an addition to your fossil collection, a "pocket rocket" to take with you on your journey, or to be wirewrapped or set in jewelry. This one is interesting on both the front and the back, and it seems to be begging for a wirewrap! The ammonite is essentially filled with quartz. This one is grey and white in a brown matrix, and the sections are very visible.

According to Melody, author of 'Love is in the earth', ammonites are protective stones which lend stability and structure to your life. They help with survival issues. She adds that they are helpful in the birthing and re-birthing processes, as well as depression which is associated with those processes. You can learn more about ammonite metaphysical properties in her book.

Size: 39 x 32 x 6 mm

They are semi-transparent white with hand faceting which makes them glitter and reflect the light. They have a warm afterglow which reminds me of opal. Actually, much chalcedony does contain a small amount of opal, so that is not surprising. All I do know is that they were sold to me as chalcedony, which is a safe bet.

This listing is for the entire strand of 24 beads. The stones are somewhat graduated from 15 x 12 mm at the smallest to 22 x 15 mm (the largest stone.) There are plenty of pairs in between as well as unique stones, as these are all handmade individuals.

This is priced as a lot and averages out to be about $2.25 per stone. I am willing to split up the lot and negotiate a price according to which stones are selected. CONVO please if you wish to purchase a partial lot.
************************************************************************
Chalcedony: member of the quartz family which appears in many forms such as agate, chrysophrase, jasper, onyx etc, sacred to the Native Americans for promoting stability during ceremony, balances the energies of the whole self (body, mind, emotions, spirit), the stone of brotherhood amongst all, symbolizes benevolence and good will, generosity, responsiveness, receptivity, vibrates to the number 9, astrological signs Cancer and Sagittarius

Antique French Trinket Casket With Silver Relief Picture

$225.00
This is a wonderful piece, and I have not found anything like it in all of my searching online. I know it is made in France, because it is stamped. This is early 19th century from what I can tell. It is made of brass with a gold wash which is somewhat worn and showing a nice patina.

The most interesting feature of this box is the lid. Inset into the lid is an oval picture made of silver in high relief. The artwork is phenomenal, and the depth of the picture itself reaches miles into the background. It is a hunting scene which I believe is taking place in Alexandria in the Old World. Europeans in Victorian dress as well as servants in turbans can be seen handling the horses and dogs.

When I started cleaning this box, the silver inset polished very well and readily which inclines me to think it is sterling or at the very least 900 silver. There is a way to pry the back off to look for a stamp, but I do not wish to disturb the lining. Considering the age, the lining is in very good condition, a light yellow velvet. The inside of the lid is padded.

I am making an educated guess as to this piece's worth, and I tend to think it may be on the low end of it's true value.

This will make a fantastic addition to your box collection!

They are obviously hand cut, and some are actually skinny, but most of them are ripe and fat. YUM! Oh, drool! The raspberry red shows off well in contrast to that red bell pepper, don't you think?

Hey, just because this is supplies doesn't mean it can't be fun and artistic! All this time, I had no idea that what we call blue tiger's eye is actually it's own stone, a natural stone too, and is called Hawk's Eye.

This may be the first hawk's eye which I list, but it will by no means be the last.

SO...this listing is for fifteen (15) 12 mm round beads. They are strung on a stretchy material, so if you have a small wrist, you could even wear it as is. This is a deep blue black highly polished stone with a lovely blue chatoyant line through many of the beads. Just lovely, and somewhat mysterious!

This one has it all. It is large, gleams with every possible color, has a network of interesting lines...everything you could ever want in a labradorite! The prismatic colors flash throughout the entire range of the rainbow within the stone. These stones seem lit from within and are difficult to photograph without getting a lot of reflections. I pray I did this one justice!

The stone is even colorful on the back, although it is not polished there. In the last picture is an arrow showing where the large hole for hanging is drilled across the top of the stone horizontally.

Height: 44 mm
Width: 40 mm
Thickness: 10 mm domed and tapered
Hole: just shy of 2 mm
***********************************************************************
Labradorite: “the temple of the stars”, insight, endurance, intuition, calming, destiny, Sagittarius, Scorpio, Leo, the numbers 6 and 7

CABOCHON Ruby In Black Ziosite

$55.00
This is an unusual custom cabochon. This teardrop shaped ruby in black ziosite weighs in at 19 grams! The black horneblende dominant ziosite glitters in the light. The rich raspberry red ruby is a splash of contrast at the tip of the teardrop. The stone is pictured on both the front and the back in the last two photographs to your right.

Ruby zoisite was discovered in Tanzania in 1954, and it is also called Anyolite which is derived from the Massai word for "green." The green part of the stone is zoisite which has black inclusions of hornblende. Zoisite is actually the same mineral as tanzanite. The rich purplish red is ruby.

Black and red...an unbeatable, stylish color combination!

Size: 42 x 29 x 5 mm thick
Weight: 19 grams

WOVEN FABRIC Black and Red Metallic Stripe

$12.50
This is wonderful cloth. I did a burn test on it which was inconclusive, to tell the truth. It feels like it has wool in it and possibly cotton as well, but it is definitely a poly blend of some sort. The texture of the weave is what is the most interesting part of this fabric: it is knit as well as accented with a furry chenille stripe. The 4th picture to the right is of the back side of the fabric.

The red is really rich (the kind that is so hard to get an accurate picture of, but I did the best I could!) The black is ink black. There is a silver metallic thread running through the red.

This textile is appropriate for a sweater coat or would make a fantastic poncho! It is a medium to heavy weight.

This is a listing for one (1) yard. At the time of this listing there is just over three and a half ( 3 1/2 ) yards available. CONVO please if you would like more than one yard. A lot price will be available on the entire piece.

Width: 54 inches

These stones have great flash and brilliance, and they hum with a warmth which is due to being on the citrine side. There is a definite starburst which I attempted to capture in the second photograph. These are natural stones, cut by an old stone cutter and old stock.

Diameter: 8mm
Depth: 5mm
