In this lesson, you will learn how to create this one of a kind braided wire cuff. No soldering or glue involves.
You will learn how to join two separate braided pieces to create a sturdy cuff and wrapped all the beads/pearl in place.

Complete step-by-step written instructions with close up and crisp clear photographs will guide you through this project. Once you master the technique, this cuff has limitless possibilities – use your favorite beads – gemstones, crystals and glass beads.

Materials:
• 432 cm (170 in or 14 feet) of 20ga wire. This will make a cuff of 15 cm in length.
• 100 cm (40 in or 3 feet) of 28ga. Extra included for ease of coiling.
• Beads or Pearls of various sizes – I leave it to your personal preferences.

For this project I used 1 coin pearl (1cm), 8 oblong shaped pearls(8mm), 6 round pearls(6mm) and 16 rice pearls(3mm).

Tools:
•Round nose pliers
•Bend-nose pliers
•Nylon jaw pliers
•Wire cutters
•Spring clamp or adjustable clamp – you can find them in the hardware store. Find one which is at least 1 inch wide.
•Masking tape
•A small bottle as mandrel – use one with about 5 cm diameter or the size of your wrist
•Ruler and marker pen

TUTORIAL- Caged Herringbone Weaved Bead, with FREE Two Tone Herringbone Weave Ring Tutorial

Herringbone weave is one of my favorite weaving techniques. I use it a lot in my wire wrap jewelry creations. A free tutorial for the basic herringbone weave is available at www.enioken.com. Once you have learned this basic weave, there are other variations that you may come up with.

This tutorial teaches you one of these variations – a caged bead with a slightly modified herringbone weave technique. When done you may use this bead as part of your bracelets, necklaces, anklets, etc.

Although you need to know the basic weaving technique, the pictorial instruction will guide you step by step until you successfully complete a tulip. Once finished, this tulip can be turned into a pendant, earrings or brooch.

• 20ga wire – 38 cm (15 in), for the tulip frame.
• 28ga wire – 165 cm (65 in), for weaving the petals.
• 28ga wire – 15 cm (6 in) for wrapping crystals to each petal.

• 2 leaf shaped beads for the leaves.
You may opt for other shapes. Elongated shaped beads are nice too.

I discovered this method of making rose earrings accidentally while making the Rose Ring.
This lesson teaches you how to create a simple wire wrapped earrings that look like blooming roses. The beauty of this project is that you only use one piece of wire to make the rose and the ear wires.
The ingenious construction of the earring allows adding dangles easily without any extra effort.
It does not involve soldering or attaching a separate wire for the ear wire.
