The overlap of the two glazes produces this amazing texture and color!

These cups are about 4 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches tall. They will hold about 15-16 ounces of your favorite beverage. These make awesome coffee, tea or hot chocolate cups!

You will receive the exact cups in the photo. I do not use stock photos - all items for sale in my shop are photographed individually then listed. While I do have standard items and sizes, these are all handmade items with slight variations from set to set, or piece to piece. But that's why you buy handmade!

Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln. Food and dishwasher safe.

Please check my other listings too - I have one-handle bowls, handle-less bowls, larger shallow bowls and other serving bowls in the same glaze combo!

It is 5 1/2 inches tall and almost 4 inches wide at the opening and wider toward the base.

The detailing on this piece includes little hand rolled feet with incised lines which I've double stacked (I call these tootsie roll feet!). I've used the same hand rolled coils cut in half for the little handle/brackets on the side punctuated with a little dot of clay at the base.

It's a nice size for a small utensil holder or vase for flowers. It has a fairly sturdy base so it won't tip over easily.

Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln.

Ocher Freeform Disc Bracelet

$85.00
This little pretty is a combination of my recent disc design bracelets and some free form peyote elements.

It is a mixture of creams, yellow ocher (my alltime fave next to amber!) rusty oranges and a little sparkle with some gold plated accents.

It starts out with the four central panels of peyote stitch interspersed with a gold plated swirl bead, a faceted carnelian bead and what I think is a frosted transparent glass bead. The center panels all have a fabulous glass disc bead fastened securely (3 times!) with a large glass seed bead. The outer weavings include 3 delica beaded beads with gold plated spacers, small amber rounds, more gold plated swirl beads, faceted carnelians, and these amazing little rusty metallic looking glass dagger beads. It is all finished off with a gold plated toggle clasp.

The bracelet measures about 7 1/4 inches long and about 2 inches wide. I'm trying to make more of the smaller sizes because I know there are a lot of ladies out there with tiny wrists!

I think most of the disc beads I got from Heather at http://www.hmbstudios.etsy.com

I think I slipped in one of Jennifer's at http://www.blueseraphim.etsy.com

Please check out their shops - they both make lovely beads!

Mocha Disc and Pearls Necklace

$200.00
This is my latest creation incorporating peyote stitched seed beads and glass disc beads. It has a very formal and elegant look.

The seed beads colors are transparent pale pinks, pale pearly pinks, and silver lined ambers and golds. The design includes five main panels of #8 seed beads with a mocha glass disc bead and a small button pearl, and five large sterling silver beads. There are pale mauve pearls interspersed through the design as well as Swarovski crystals.

The design loosely resembles Celtic knotwork although this was unintentional. I frequently just start beading and follow the design where it leads me! I finished off the central focal portion of the necklace with simply strung pearls and a sterling silver toggle clasp accented with more Swarovski crystals. The freshwater pearls are about 7-8 mm, large enough to visually balance out the front portion of the necklace.

The glass disc beads are from the fabulous Etsy shop of blueseraphim. Check out Jennifer's beads at:

http://www.blueseraphim.etsy.com

The length of the necklace is about 17 1/2 inches, resting just about at the collar bones. It should look stunning with a cream satin dress or pale pink silk! I see wedding and prom dresses when I look at this piece!

It includes my recent finds at a local bead store of two lampwork glass beads in blues and pinky-purples (you have to make up new words when describing some colors - the words don't exist!).

It also includes 4 glass disc beads from blueseraphim.
Check out her shop at: http://www.blueseraphim.etsy.com

There are 5 sterling silver beads: one large center bead and four small accent beads. The toggle is made from a kazuri clay bead purchased at a local shop.

It is worked in peyote stitch and is 7 3/4 inches long and is about 1 3/4 inches wide.

They are almost 6 inches wide and about 2 1/2 inches tall and will hold almost 20 ounces. They are fabulous for soup, ice cream, cereal or oatmeal.

Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln. They are food and dishwasher safe.

This glaze color is impossible to accurately describe but the closest is a grayish green with a bluish-purplish on the rim. It is on a speckled brown stoneware clay which affects the color as well. The photos are very accurate with the colors but your monitor may affect the way the colors appear. It is a very earthy, gorgeous color!

Breathe III - Wall Quilt

$200.00
This quilt is the third and last in a series of wall quilts on breathing that I did a few years ago. This is one of the most personal series that I have done. It all came about with both of my daughters being diagnosed with asthma (mild to moderate) and both of them having to do nebulizer treatments 3 times a day. The older one would breathe through her nose instead of the mouthpiece so I had to keep telling her to breathe. The younger one would just talk through the whole thing! It seemed like all I was doing was barking "breathe!" at my kids constantly!

It was about this time that I started to do art quilts. I had been making traditional quilts for a few years and it was starting to bore me! The "Breathe" quilts were born from all these things coming together and the ideas percolating in my brain for a few years. The first two "Breathe" quilts have sold and I'm ready to let the last one go.

This was about the time I started dying some of my own fabric, so this piece combines commercial and hand-dyed cottons. It also includes tulle and hand-dyed gauze, metal letters and little clear tube beads made from cut up nebulizer tubing that I've woven together with embroidery floss. The quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted with embroidery floss and metallic thread.

The quilt measures 22" x 25" and is hung from two straps on a bamboo rod. You can always switch the bamboo for a small drapery rod that fits your decor.

It was a lot of fun to play with the hand dyed silk noil, cotton and gauze fabrics and punch it all up with the push/pull of the black and white striped fabric.

I also played around with the layering of hand dyed gauze and green tulle. It is machine pieced and quilted with embroidery floss as well as some loose, "sloppy" machine applique. The color scheme is in shades of red violet, green, blue, orange, and black and white. It's a very eye catching color scheme!

It measures 21" x 23" and is hung from two straps on a bamboo rod which can be switched out for a drapery rod to match your decor.

It includes lots of fun embellishments like small plastic leaf buttons, small glass leaf beads and larger polymer clay leaves which are hand painted and sewn on with embroidery floss. The larger fabric leaves are appliqued on with a blanket stitch and then filled in loosely with seed beads.

The size is approx. 34 inches by 35 inches. I display this wall quilt with three hanging straps from a thin black drapery rod (included). It is a very bold and colorful wall quilt and can be a great focal point in a room!

It is machine pieced and hand quilted with embroidery floss and seed beads. It includes little "tablets" (for lack of a better word!) made from polymer clay painted and sewn on with floss. The larger fabric cup shapes are outlined in black seed beads for additional texture.

The size is approx. 22 inches by 26 inches. I make my wall quilts with little hanging straps at the top to hang over a rod. This one is displayed on a simple piece of bamboo (which is included) but they work great on drapery rods as well. Drapery rods made for tab top curtains work best and they come in lots of great finishes to match your decor. I prefer black ones which pick up the color used in the quilt.

Little Sea Mist Bowls - Set of 2

The sea mist glaze I use is a very deep blue/green. It really should be called stormy sea - there's nothing misty about it! The photos are very accurate but your monitor may affect how you view the color.

The bowls are about 4 3/4 inches wide and about 1 1/4 inches tall. They are a pretty good size for snacks or dipping sauces. This set is a little wider than some of my other mini bowls - almost a cross between a plate and bowl.

Food and dishwasher safe. Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln.

You will receive the exact bowls in the photo. I do not use stock photos - all items for sale in my shop are photographed individually then listed. While I do have standard items and sizes, these are all handmade items with slight variations from set to set, or piece to piece. But that's why you buy handmade!

This glaze color is completely impossible to accurately describe but the closest is a grayish green with a bluish-purplish on the rim. It is on a speckled brown stoneware clay which affects the color as well. The photos are very accurate with the colors but your monitor may affect the way the colors appear. It is a very earthy, gorgeous color!

These bowls are a perfect size for dipping sauces. They are about 4 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall.

You will receive the exact bowls in the photo.
Red Oval Pot

The initial shape is thrown on the wheel without a base. After it is leather hard, it is reshaped to oval, then a base is added as well as all the other fun things: feet, and little side brackets that are aesthetic as well as holding the bead string in place. This pot is about 6 inches tall, and about 6 inches wide at the handles. It's about 4 1/2 inches wide from front to back.

I have a lot of fun with the embellishments on these pots and the red suits it to a T! This piece includes my usual favorite embellishments, including charms, pearls, copper and gold tone beads, Swarovski crystals, delica beaded beads, strings of seed beads, fibers, silk ribbon, and of course, my not so subtle hint at the hand made item: the little gold tone hand! This is my only embellished pot that has one of my handmade dogtag pendants. I usually sell a larger version of these as necklaces and they are my best sellers locally!

Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln.

The glass discs are a lovely shade of burgundy and the seed beads are 3 shades of rose pink.

Worked in peyote stitch it has 3 central sterling silver beads linked up with 4 center panels of seed beads. The discs are attached to the center panels with one large seed bead. There are 4 sterling silver accent beads and the toggle clasp is also sterling silver. This combination is very subtle and very pretty!

The bracelet is about 7 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide. It fits flat against the wrist and is very comfortable to wear.

They are divided by some flat Kazuri beads in a yummy sage color.

The outer bands are made up of delica beads in shade of luster sage, cream, orange and a semi-matte brown. There are two Swarovski crystals accenting the center panel. The clasp is a Kazuri bead toggle in a light brown color and coordinating brown bead loop.

This bracelet is a little smaller than my other listings since I know there are so many ladies out there with tiny wrists. This one measures 7 inches from Kazuri bead to the end of the loop. With this type of clasp you should allow a little play in the length in order to attach it. My wrist measures less than 6 1/2 inches and this bracelet is a very tight fit! So ideally you should have about a 6 to 6 1/4 inch wrist measurement to wear this comfortably.

They are about 4 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches tall. They are just a little smaller than my other listing for 2 bowls in the same clay/glaze combo. In size, they are right in between my dipping bowl size and soup bowl size.

This is the same glaze combo as on many of my other listings but it looks very different on the white clay. This glaze color is impossible to accurately describe but the closest is a gray with a subtle mauve undertone on the white clay. The photos are very accurate with the colors but your monitor may affect the way the colors appear. It is a very earthy, gorgeous color!

These are good size for snacks. Not too much, not too little!

Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln. Food and dishwasher safe.

It incorporates sterling silver beads and drops, and large glass beads. It is all woven together in peyote stitch - my fave!

I've also used some fabulous glass disc beads from 3 great Etsy glass artists. Check out these shops:

http://www.flamecrazy.etsy.com
http://www.blueseraphim.etsy.com
http://www.hmbstudios.etsy.com

The necklace measures about 18" at the top portion of the necklace. If you need it longer you can undo the two knots on each side in the spiral rope portion to make it hang lower.

The colors are little intense in a couple of the photos. Look at all of them to get a good idea of what it looks like in different lights and on different backgrounds.

The shipping costs for this item include extra insurance for items over $100.
They are bright and cheerful with candy colored glass bead dangles and beaded beads in shiny opaque shades of delica beads. The matte turquoise glaze on the speckled stoneware is the perfect "canvas" for the string of pearly yellow seed beads with the alternating dangles and beaded beads. This is probably my favorite shape of pot and definitely my best selling!

This little pot is about 7 inches in diameter and about 3 1/2 inches tall.

I've been hoarding it!) I also included some eyelash fibers, silk ribbon and a string of seed beads interspersed with some fun little metal beads.

The beads on this one tend toward the raspberry, rust and gold ranges.

Just under 11 inches tall and about 6 1/2 inches wide.

Fired in an electric kiln to cone 5.

Sea Mist Bowl - Large Single or Small Serving Bowl

$25.00
This bowl is wheelthrown in a speckled brown stoneware clay and glazed in sea mist. This glaze is a very deep intense green/blue. It really should be called stormy sea - there's nothing misty about it! The photos are very accurate but your monitor may affect how you view the color.

This bowl is 7 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall - right in between a single serving and a large multiple serving bowl. It's perfect for those guys who like big portions of food or don't want to slop food out of a regular size bowl! This bowl comfortably holds more than 30 fluid ounces. I had a customer request one of these and I can see how versatile they are, so I will be making these regularly.

You will receive the exact bowl in the photo.

Large Fog Serving Bowl

$45.00
This serving bowl is wheelthrown in a speckled brown clay and glazed in turquoise and fog glazes. This glaze color is impossible to accurately describe but the closest is a grayish green with a bluish-purplish on the rim. The speckled brown stoneware clay affects the color as well. The photos are very accurate with the colors but your monitor may affect the way the colors appear. It is a very earthy, gorgeous color!

Please click on all the photos to get a good idea of the colors. I also have other listings with this combo (I always specify which glaze I use so you can match pieces). When I use this glaze combination, I dip the rim in the turquoise glaze first, then the entire piece is glazed in the fog. It is the fog on top of the turquoise that gives it that wonderful purpley-blue lip. As you can tell by the photos this glaze can sometimes look more blue or mauve depending on the light.

This bowl is more than 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 1/2 inches tall. This is a great serving bowl size as well as a marvelous way to display or ripen fruit. I use my own fog bowl for peaches and pears.

Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln. Food and dishwasher safe.

Where the two glazes overlap produces this amazing color and texture.

This bowl is very shallow - almost a plate shape. It is 8 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches tall. It has incised lines in the pattern of leaf veins. The length is 11 1/2 inches and the width is 8 1/2 inches. It has a very smooth back side so it can sit on a nice table without scratching it.

This is a food safe glaze. I do recommend washing the plate by hand because it may not sit properly in the dishwasher due to the wonky edges!

The plate can be used for food or it looks lovely just displayed flat or in a plate stand.

Turquoise Fog Teapot

A slab base was then added, and then all the usual parts to make a teapot were hand built on to it. It has 4 rolled and curved feet, a hand pulled handle (always my fave!) and I used my own hand carved dragonfly stamp on sprigs to decorate both sides of the body.

It stands 10 1/2 inches tall from feet to the top of the handle, is 9 inches wide from spout to the back, and measures about 6 inches from side to side.

While I have glazed the inside, it is a rather sculptural piece not really intended for afternoon tea! I know there are teapot collectors out there and this one's for you!

It is glazed in my turquoise and fog glaze combo. It looks especially nice on this piece, particularly where the glaze breaks on the lip of the spout and lid and in the dense, rich color where the fog covers the turquoise glaze at the top of the body.

Paua shell necklace

One side is double strung with seed beads, amazonite rounds and faceted rectangles, rectangular paua shell beads, freshwater pearls and small glass dagger beads. The other side is freeform peyote woven seed beads with additions of freshwater coins and rectangles, sterling silver beads, and amazonite and paua shell rectangles.

The center focal point is a 40 mm paua shell with six beaded dangles of varying lengths. It is finished off with a square sterling silver toggle clasp.

The length is about 28 inches and is in shades of sea foam green, blue-green and blues with some deep purple-blues in some pearls and the glass daggers. There is a large silver bead just below the large paua donut that came from a camel necklace purchased in Egypt. It is the last one I have of those beads! It's probably not sterling but it does polish up nicely.

You will get lots of compliments when wearing this necklace. I made one for myself (not completely the same; I can't even copy my own work!) and I always get lots of attention from it.

The shipping cost includes extra insurance.

This necklace is dripping with freshwater pearls and sterling silver beads, gobs of seed beads in all sizes and colors, and little touches of some colorful resin beads. It is finished off with a large sterling silver toggle clasp. This piece is a little longer than my other beaded collar-like necklaces. It measures about 10 1/2 inches from the donut to the toggle clasp on each side. Stretched out from end to end including the donut shape it is about 23 inches long.

I start out by throwing it without a base. Once it is leather hard, it is altered to an oval shape and then the base is added. Then the fun really starts for me! I add feet, handles and little brackets that are aesthetic as well as practical in that they help hold the string of beads that circles the body of the basket. This handle has a neat little double arch in the dip that was a lot of fun to make.

The speckles in the brown clay really show up with this glaze which is a deep green with a kind of metallic luster. I've played up the green with a contrasting raspberry colored string of seed beads and a lot of my usual embellishments: polymer clay pendant combined with gold tone tree of life pendant, copper colored spiral hand pendant, a grungy-grooved freshwater pearl, two delica beaded beads, Swarovski crystals, and some eyelash fiber and a silk ribbon.

The basket is about 11 1/2 inches tall and about 7 inches wide.

I have a lot of fun with the handles and feet on these pots and the red suits it to a T! This piece includes all my favorite embellishments as well, including charms, pearls, copper and gold tone beads, Swarovski crystals, rusted keys, delica beaded beads, polymer clay pendants, strings of seed beads, fibers, silk ribbon, and of course, my not so subtle hint at the hand made item: the little gold tone hand!

The initial shape is thrown on the wheel without a base. After it is leather hard, it is reshaped to oval, then a base is added by hand and all the other fun things (for me!) are added: feet (as funky as possible!) handle and little side brackets that are aesthetic as well as holding the bead string in place. This basket is 11 1/2 inches tall, and about 6 1/2 inches wide.

Wheel thrown and altered, fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln.
