Six(hollow) Ameraucana chicken eggs perfect for decoration and egg crafts such as pysanky. I keep some in a ceramic basket on the table in the spring. Their natural colors coordinate well with pastel shades and draw attention and compliments.

Each egg is drilled by hand, the contents are carefully removed, the inside is rinsed repeatedly with warm water, then the egg is dried and hardened in the micowave.

The egg colors are a range of pastel blues and greens. Some are very smooth, some have tiny natural bumps, natural mottling of the color or slightly roughened surfaces. Some have rings of darker color near the ends. Most of the eggs in a batch are very smooth.

The photos show examples of the type of eggs you will receive and a few of the ladies who produce the eggs.

All the eggs are selected for nice shape with no ridges or grooves from laying irregularities. The eggs average 2.5 inches long by 1.75" wide. There is one tiny 1/16" hole in the larger end of each egg.

The eggs are produced by a flock of all-natural, free range Ameraucana standard size hens who live here at Phoenix Farm. These birds are known for the beautiful colors of their eggs.

Securely packed in a strong box and protected with styrofoam and bubble wrap so your eggs arrive safely. Shipment is via First Class Mail.

Handmilled natural goat milk and honey soaps, two bath size bars from the Phoenix Farm Veggie Soaps line of vegetable soap. The only animal products used are the goat milk and honey.

These bars are approx. 2.5 oz each and total 5.3 ounces of soap. The chunky snowflakes measure approx. 3" across and 1.25" thick. The cream colored soap is scented with peppermint and the light brown one is cool cinnamon. The soaps contain no added color and are wrapped in handstamped snowflake paper.

Made from our own special recipe using only the finest ingredients: a high content of olive oil with added palm kernel, avocado, sweet almond and castor oils, shea, mango and cocoa butters, vitamin E, honey, goat milk, 100% pure essential oils and clean Maine country rainwater.

This listing is for ONE soap saver bag (pocket, pouch or sack) with a drawstring that has been handknit by me right here at Phoenix Farm in Maine, USA. This bag is an excellent alternative to imported soap savers. Using a soap saver bag will create lots of lather and help your soap last longer. It is also great for using up those annoying leftover soap pieces that are too small to fit in the hand.

Knit with acrylic yarn for quick drying (reduces possibility of mildew) and mild exfoliation in a closely stitched pattern (for longer wear) with lots of texture. The variegated color of the yarn goes well with many different decors. The bag measures approx. 5" long by 3.5" wide. It will hold a large bar of soap and will expand some with use. The coordinating drawstring closes with a white plastic cord lock.

Because this bag is handmade it will be unique. No two bags are exactly the same but will have similar measurements.

Hang the bag to dry with the soap inside after each use. The bag may be tossed in the washing machine when necessary and should be air dried to avoid damage to the cord lock.

Apple Wood Gnawer sticks are between 6"-10" long and 1/8"-1" in diameter. Each 11 ounce package contains approx. 20-30 sticks and twigs.

The Ameraucana chickens at Phoenix Farm are gorgeous birds with thick, brightly colored plumage. As they range freely about the farm they drop feathers. They also shed all their feathers every year as they molt.

This collection of 60 craft feathers in many different sizes, shapes and colors was gathered during the past few weeks at the farm. They are mostly from young birds. The measurements given are approximate.

Included are: 17 rooster hackle feathers, the longest is 5.5", two gray secondary flight feathers, 8.5" long and two coverts about 4.5" long. There are 16 gray body feathers averaging 3" and 8 white and gray plumes averaging 3.5". The colors include cream and rust, black and white, dove gray and cream, black and rust, with nice patterns like stripes, bars, chevrons or speckles. Some have beautiful green irridescence. The feathers range in length from 1.5" for the shortest to over 8.5". Lots of fine feathers! ef2

The feathers have not been treated and show no signs of insect damage. If you wish to further protect your feathers shake them in a baggie with powdered borax, the bugs won't touch them.

Due to the free range nature of the chickens some feathers show signs of wear although I try to select the best plumes.

From the Phoenix Farm Old West line: a new four thong hand braided tab dog leash made of top quality cowhide leather. This leash has been entirely handmade.

The thongs are cut individually from finest strong, supple, semi-gloss finish black and white American leather. The four-thong braids and knot are all carefully crafted to create a truly unique dog accessory.

The leash is approx. 9" long including the snap and about 1/4" in diameter. The solid brass swivel snap is 2 3/8" long with a 3/8" eye. This short tab leash is a convenient "handle" when you need to catch your dog.

I first learned the art of leather braiding from an old cowboy and have been developing my skills for over 25 years. It's a pleasure to share this ancient and dying artform with others.

This set of 75 craft feathers was gathered during the past few weeks at the farm. They are from young and mature birds. The measurements given are approximate.

The longest feather is 5.5" and the shortest is 2.5". There are 37 hackle feathers including 25 black and white ones about 3" long. Some of the black and white hackles are slightly immature and the quill end is not fully formed. The other feathers are mostly from the body, including 9 orange and brown ones about 3.5" long. The colors include dove and dark gray, white, cream, black, medium brown, rust and orange. There are nice speckles and bars on some plumes. Lots of fine feathers! ef6

Beautiful hand knit scarf with beaded fringe made of mohair mix yarn with shimmering metallic threads. This is a dressy, lightweight, open-knit scarf with lots of glitz.

The main color is plum purple with deeper maroons, blues, light purples, whites and a rainbow of metallic threads mixed in. The glass beads are threaded on purple cotton and are an irridesent purple and maroon brown color that is hard to capture in photographs. The beads match the color of the scarf and are in a variety of shapes strung randomly.
