Paper Mache Tulip Vessel

$28.00
This unusual shaped vase was hand made and hand painted by me. The tulip motif is done in soft shades of blue, pink, peach and yellow. Several coats of water based varnish add shine and strength to the vase.

It measures 7 1/2" high at the highest point and 4 1/2" wide. It's signed Grace Paradise and dated 2008 on the bottom.

This item would make a lovely Mother's Day present, but please note that if you want to put fresh flowers in it, you should not pour water directly into the vase. Just fill a jar with water and put that inside the vase.

Dutch Farm Scene Salt and Pepper Shakers

$18.00
These cream colored salt and pepper shakers are shaped like teacups. They feature line drawing of a a rural farm scene, done in brown.

There is a woman on the top of one cup and a man on the other. Both are surrounded by a ribbon. On the side of each cup is a landscape. Each shaker depicts a rural farm scene with chickens, farmhouse, fields and fences. You'll see the duties of the household clearly defined, with the man working the fields and the woman feeding the chickens.

Each shaker is stopped with a cork and measures 2.25" wide x 1.5" high. Each handle is .75" long and has a tulip painted on it.

This set is probably European, but I suppose it can also American, depicting a Pennsylvania Dutch scene. From what I can see, the set is unmarked.

Enjoy!
Vintage Chinese Sewing Basket

$35.00
This unusual rattan wicker basket is encircled with Chinese people in traditional dress. Each unique character is made with various materials: fabric, wood, paper, silk thread. One person's head is missing, but the dress is intact and the shape of it is interesting enough that it's not really noticeable. There is also a loose tack that secures the hinge of the basket, but it does not prevent you from being able to open or close the lid, and can easily be repaired.

The pattern of the weaving is striking and there are no breaks in the wicker whatsoever. The silver closure is engraved with a beautiful lucky dragon. The basket is trimmed with black velvet and lined in a lovely green satin. It has bamboo style handles.

It measures 8" high x 11.5" wide. The basket is marked "Made in British Hong Kong". I think it's from the 1970's.

I hope you'll enjoy the quality and beauty of this item.

Arnel's Pottery Green Vase with Etched Floral Design

The apple green color and lovely shape of this vase will make it a wonderful addition to your collection.

The vase measures 7.75" high x 5.25" wide. The mouth is about 2.25" wide. It's marked Arnels on the bottom.

To me, the etched floral design is reminiscent of Picasso's flower drawings.

My guess would be that this vase was made in the '70's.

Enjoy!

The leg span at the bottom is 17" wide.

This piece would make a lovely addition to a country home, but until it finds one, it looks nice in my contemporary apartment! hmmm...sounds like a classic. :)

Vintage Lazy Susan with 6 Piece California Pottery Serving Set

There are 5 smaller trays, and yes, one IS missing, but when you space them as shown, the set looks like a flower! SO PRETTY!

The apple green color of the (unmarked) American Pottery is so fresh and trendy right now...and the lazy susan spins perfectly!

There has been some not-so-great repair work done to the bottom of one of the smaller trays, but nothing that shows when the set is on the tray. In fact, I didn't notice the damage until I started photographing the set.

Any hostess with the mostest would love this set for entertaining.

:)

Vintage Enamel Playing Card Case

$39.00
This elegant little box is marked Japan on the bottom. There's another mark that looks like it may be written in Japanese, but I can't quite make it out because it's prety worn away there.

The box is metal, and it's heavy! It's painted in a pretty apple green enamel. It looks like it's from the twenties. It would also look so nice on someone's desk, holding their business cards. Think about it...you could give the box as a gift and keep the playing cards for yourself! ;)

The box contains two beautiful vintage decks of playing cards. Both are complete. The Ace of Spades in each deck is unique. The black and gold deck is marked Made in
U. S. A. (8612-25A), and the Ace of Spades in the deck with the man carrying the jugs is marked Y2806 (I think the 25 & the 28 represent the years of production).

The box and the cards inside are in great shape, but they do reflect the normal ware that you'd expect from something of this age

Feel free to contact me with any questions :)

The rich purple background really makes the flowers and leaves pop, and the black outline gives the vase the look of stained glass.

The vase measures about 9.5" high x 5.5" wide.

It's eco-friendly - recylced from paper bags. Multiple layers of waterbased polyurethane ensure stability and many years of enjoyment. Although the paper mache vase cannot be filled with water, you can place a smaller glass vase inside this one and display your favorite floral arrangement in this one.

The piece is signed and dated and is bound to be a conversation piece!

I like to look at the surface and see 'who's in there' before I start drawing. This wound up being a scene of 10 people and a dog who came across a turtle in the park. The star of the story, the turtle appears again, at the base of the bowl.

It measures about 4" high x 5" wide at the opening.

It's eco-friendly - recylced from paper bags. It depicts various scenes from a sunny day in a strange world: A man contmplating an apple, a woman under a tree, a dreaming woman, and a young couple. Each frame leaves you wondering about who they are and where they're going.

The bowl measures about 7.25” high at the highest point x 8" wide at its widest points (the organic shape of this piece makes it difficult to measure!).

It's eco-friendly - recycled from paper bags. It comes with an evelope, but you'll probably want to frame it.

I painted it in goache and used colored pencil and used graphite for detail. It's signed Paradise 2008 on the back of the card.

It's inscribed with a line from my mother's favorite poem: "Long life to her for there's no other who takes the place of my dear mother".

I hope you or your mom enjoys it!

It measures about 6 1/2" in diameter x 2 3/4" high. The organic shape of the bowl is more oval than round since I like to let my stuff take it's own shape.

The bowl is signed "Paradise" and dated 2008 on the bottom.

It's eco-friendly - recylced from paper bags.
