Unique in nature, these RainboWands are a rare find. Only when a double rainbow appears; a bolt of lightning strikes through the rainbow and hits a tree just right to split it open, then only are the wands of the rainbow revealed. When I found my first one I was hooked. 7 colors in one wand! 7" long by 6.5mm in diameter. You get 5 in an order.
These Color pencils aren't made by me, but I use them on all my business cards and in some of my drawings.

☞WARNING☜ These pencils are highly addictive! Once you start drawing with one you may not be able to stop. I haven't been able to.

I recommend using a hand sharpener with these. They last longer if you leave the tip a bit flat. You get more colors this way. The harder you push down the more vibrant the colors will look.

This is one of my favorite pieces. Created with a rainbow obsidian butterfly embedded in acrylic medium and paints. Hand carved in Jalisco, Mexico the ribbons of silky color streak through the stone. When the sun sets in Minneapolis, it glistens off the Walker Art Center like a gold diamond. A small piece of glass is placed in the upper left corner. It is a piece of glass from the original glass chandeliers that hang in the museum. It was glass chipped off the chunks of glass crated by Dan Mather of Minneapolis. This is the most extensive micro doodle I have ever done. I spent almost 50 hours to complete this wonder. It has 1000's of miniature drawings and tiny little phrases. I use .13 .18 .25 and a variety of other size Koh-i-noor Rapidograph pens with india ink. The canvas is coated with 3 coats of Golden phosphorescent blue and teal paint. It glows for hours in the dark. It lights up my whole room. Embedded with neodymium magnets so it will hang on a smooth metal surface. Size 14 3/4" x 30" x 3"

Since 1996 I have signed and numbered over 29,000 pieces. Years ago I began to draw my tiny drawings. I never thought of selling any of my micro doodles. I drew hundreds of them on paper, but never thought of putting them on canvas until 2000. When I first began to create my doodle boxes the canvas would chew up my pens. I use Koh-i-noor Rapidograph® pens and the tips are very fragile. I needed to paint on a smoother surface, so I painted a coating of paint on the canvas to make the pen glide easier. I found a phosphorecent blue paint that works wonders. It also lights my art up in the dark! After begining to doodle on my glowbox canvas's I couldn't stop.

I use an array of different size pens to create a texture and mosaic of ink. Different images appear from various distances. The scribbles draw the viewer in down to the surface of the canvas. Like the abstract surface of nature, my doodles attempt to capture the chaos in the world on a microscopic level.

I am near sighted and use no magnification to do my art. I find the illustrations seem to draw themselves. In the sun I can let the pen take off and just go. I go into a sort of doodle trance. Music helps the pen flow. Nature helps the ink flow smoother.

This is an old piece out of my personal collection. It looks like a mess, but it was one of the very first magnets I ever made. My first test pieces were always Test #3. I was trying different inks and foils. All my first creations were business card size 3 1/2"x 2". The vinyl is only 20mil, but it's still plenty durable. If I ever get noticed this is a piece that should become very valuable.

This is my favorite little ammonite (an inch across) and 120 million years old; from Madagascar. I embedded it in a colorful layer of acrylic and embellished it with swarovski crystals and a vintage glass cabochon. A wonderful keepsake for any fossil lover. Here is a piece out of my personal collection. 4 years ago a friend brought me back some wonderful ammonites from Madagascar. These unique beauties are 120 million years old! This one is polished with some opal iridescence showing through. The fossil is about 1 1/2" in size. Embedded in blue acrylic paint along with Swarovski crystals and a vintage glass stone.
