This leather tied coffee jute clutch is simple, meaningful and useful.

This clutch has an intricate and MEANINGFUL design on the inside and reads: ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’. The design is hand drawn and screen printed by me using environmentally-friendly water-based sunrise orange ink.

The outside of the clutch is made from recycled fair trade coffee sacks (jute/burlap). To help with the stability and firmness of this loose weave a fusable cotton canvas has been ironed on.

The cute little wren embroidered fabric button on the outside is hand covered. The ‘riempie’ (leather weaving strip) is attached to the button and wraps around the clutch. This closure is very secure, SIMPLE to undo and even simpler to do.

The clutch is 8” wide by 5” (closed) and 8.2” (open) tall.

Orange Nappa - Antique Linen and Leather Bag

Timeless in its beauty this bag has a past that warms the soul.

Originally this fabric was used as a grain sack in Europe. It is made with oatmeal colour home-spun linen that was patiently woven by hand into this beautiful fabric that has a texture with an individuality that is missing from modern mass-produced fabrics. Small knots tie the linen threads together and knowing that each thread was gently pushed into place over 100 years ago, makes it something very special.

This bag is complimented with a orange suede nappa leather. The smooth side of the leather (inside out) was a gorgeous orange that went so perfectly with the stripe that runs through the middle of the linen bag I could not ignore it and had to use. The end result is both texturally so soft and visually gorgeous.

Inside is lined with 100% cotton. An peach colour was chosen again to compliment the woven stripe in the linen that also continues into the top part of the inside of the bag. There are two large open pockets on one side trimmed with Persham ribbon so that you can easily see and access the pockets. On the other side is a 20cm zip perfect for just about anything. There is also a small snap hook on the side attached with Persham ribbon for your keys or a small purse to hook onto. Lastly, the bag closes with a secure magnetic snap.

Approximate sizes: 31cm (base width) x 42cm (bag width) x 29cm (bag front height) x 45cm (side height) x 31cm (padded strap).
12.5in (base width) x 16.5in (bag width) x 11.5in (bag front height) x 17.5in (side height) x 12in (padded strap).

It is made with soft off-white home spun linen that was patiently woven by hand into this beautiful fabric that has a texture with an individuality that is missing from modern mass-produced fabrics. This bag is complimented with a metallic dark blue nappa leather trim. This helps to bring focus to the beautiful naturally dyed and hand woven dark blue and sharp red stripe that runs through the middle of the linen bag.

Inside is lined with 100% cotton. Dark blue was chosen again to compliment the woven stripe in the linen that also continues into the top part of the inside of the bag. This leather tied Coffee Clutch with its complimenting Moleskine Notebook is simple, beautiful and useful.

The design on the Coffee Clutch (inside) reads: ‘Every day, little treasures...’. This text carries on to the Moleskine Notebook with "...makes everyday extra special". It is there to remind you that every day, there are little things that make it special and those should be treasured.

The design on the clutch and notebook are hand-drawn and screen printed using environmentally-friendly water-based purple ink.

The Moleskine notebook is made from thread-bound blank acid free paper and are 9x14cm / 3.5”x5.5”. There are 64 sheets and the last 16 are detachable which is perfect for loose notes. Inside the back page there is a pocket for notes or clippings. It also comes with a natural covered pencil.

This bag is 100% environmentally friendly:
○ The main fabric is a RECYCLED Jute coffee sack.
○ The lining is ORGANIC Hemp canvas that has been environmentally dyed black.

The coffee jute sacks have a fantastic stories to them. This bag has got the text "Bourbon", "Specialty Coffee" and "100% Organic" written on it. The farm that it comes from is a FAIR TRADE farm which means that there has been no exploitation of the workers on the coffee/tea plantations which is nice to know that not only is the end story a healthy and friendly one, but the whole story is.

The bag is approximately:
The base is 45x10cm / 17.7x4”
The opening is 38cm / 15”
The strap (starting from the opening) is 100cm / 39”. It is the correct length to be worn across your chest. Perfect for using on your bicycle!
*A laptop fits into this bag both ways (upright and lengthwise).

There are 3 pockets inside:
One is 18x13cm / 7x5” and closes with a small wooden button whilst the other two are 7x11cm / 3x4.5” and 11x11cm / 4.5x4.5” which are the perfect size for your cell phone and wallet/moleskin notebook.

This bag has endured a lot of rugged traveling so it is not going to wear out anytime soon. The jute and hemp canvas is extremely strong and tough. This bag is an absolute every day bag just for you. It is big enough to fit all the basic things you need in a day, including a big sunglass case, a notebook and a small bottle of water. It is small enough to be discreet and not cumbersome.

• The main fabric of this bag is soft dusty teal with butter cream retro rectangles. These rectangles have a glisten that is highlighted by the top band of this bag that is a speckled gold glitter.

• There is a hidden exterior pocket perfect for a ipod, cellphone, keys, coins or tissues.

• The bag is lined in cream cotton.

• 3 interior pockets: On one side there is a cellphone and wallet pouch and on the other side is there is a 18cm zipper pocket.

• There is also a snap hook inside for your keys or small pouch to clip into.

• As a special surprise – each bag comes with a pouch filled with hand-picked and dried French perfume lavender from Franschoek here in South Africa – perfect for keeping your bag or draws smelling great.

Spring Blossoms Ashleigh Bag

The ‘Ashleigh Bag’ is whatever you want and need it to be: a sling bag (which I call the bucket style as it hangs in a very fashionably relaxed manner), a shoulder bag (the silhouette of the bag then becomes triangular with two cute capped corners), and it is also the perfect carry bag for your side. It is truly a marvelous, gorgeous and very versatile bag!

Fabric:
~ Top: A purple/pink raw silk.
~ Middle: One of my favourite prints is this liberty twill with the pastel shade blossom pattern.
~ Base: milk-butter.
~ Lining: Soft lilac.
(The bag is reinforced so that it is strong, sturdy & will last you a long time).

Standard features:
~ Three pockets: Inside there is a cell pocket and a wallet pocket. Outside there is one large pocket/sleeve that camouflages into the seams of the bag serving as the third pocket and closes with a hidden magnet. This ‘secret’ pocket is very handy.
~ This bag has two straps that are both detachable (by metal snap hooks) so that the bag can achieve its versatility. To use the bag as a shoulder or carry bag you attach both straps: One strap to the front set of eyelets and the other strap to the back set of eyelets.
To use the bag as a sling/bucket bag then you attach the ADJUSTABLE STRAP to the two side eyelets.
