She was really enjoying reading her Albert Campion book, cuddled up with teddy, but ohhh, the comfort of the dear old sofa, and the warmth of the blankies was too much for this little cat.

Just a quick snooze before bedtime, eh? You know what a delicious sleep that can be.

All the things in this small assemblage are handmade by me, from polymer clay, recycled fabrics, wool, paper and paint.

Set in a (lidded) handmade box 3.5" x 3.5" x 1.5", or 7.5cm x 7.5cm x 4cm. You know, small, basically.

Well now. I saw up the lovely old wood bits. I sand them (I always find that bit a chore.) I print one of my nutty little pictures - cut it to size and glue it to the woody badge piece. I paint it with watercolours and then varnish it. Then - you are still listening aren't you? - I glue on the brooch pin, paint the ...you're not really listening are you?

Here is a little aceo, or art card, I hope you might like to add to your collection. Perhaps it might inspire you to start one.

The point about them is that they are small - 2.5" x 3.5" - and inexpensive, so we can all become art collectors.

You can frame them singly, all tiny, or grouped in a bigger frame. You can keep them in special plastic pocketty page things. My son has done an amazing series of art cards which he keeps in his old Pokemon card um, plastic pocketty page things. (But don't tell him I told you, because it doesn't sound all that professional.)

I digress. This is my handpainted original artwork. The text is not on the original - it's just for the screen.

I really hope you like this little picture. It's an aceo - you know that thing? Playing card sized little works of art. At just 2.5" x 3.5"(6x9cm) and at reasonable prices, so we can all become art collectors no matter the size of our purse or our home.

I've been drawing silly pictures of cats for the longest time. I love them so. I fall into a sort of happy reverie when I'm doing the thing. It's not so much that I think I was a cat in a former life - more like I wish I was a cat in the parallel universe in which they live lives like I see them in my head.

This is my original watercolour painting, signed and dated on the back.

The text isn't on the actual picture, just on the screen.

I hand painted black and white digital reproductions of my cat drawings and fixed them to a piece of well sanded reclaimed wood, 2.5" by 2", along with some decorative papers on the sides, and then all was varnished.

Please note - the varnish is flawed in some places - my bad - so I have taken a few dollars off the price I had originally wanted. It doesn't affect the artwork, it's just gone a bit splurby, but if you would like closer up pictures please let me know.
