Aristocrat Rose Mosaic Tray

Excellent condition vintage silverplate lazy susan pedestal tray, Spring Flowers by Wm. Rogers and Sons, with rich, floral mosaic. China used is from early to mid-century vintage plates. Luscious pink and burgundy rose focal in the Aristocrat pattern. Red fade china with gold filigree, green fade china with faint gold filigree, cream and bright gold filigree, green and white transferware, and outer rim of antique burgundy and caramel scroll and urn pattern. Finished with antique white grout. Perfect for tabletop decor. Decorative only, please use food liner or plate for serving food.

Silverplate is pictured freshly polished, but when left to tarnish a soft golden brown it sets off the mosaic perfectly. You can polish the silver once in a while with a mild paste polish for silver, with a quick swish of soap and water after. Sealed with grout sealant.

Silverplate tray is 15 inches in diameter, 3 inches high. Pedestal base is 6.25 inches in diameter. Mosaic area is 13.5 inches in diameter.

Though I cut and/or trim most of my mosaic tiles, I also support my fellow mosaic artists and suppliers by purchasing their tiles and tile sets to incorporate into my designs. Unless noted otherwise, all of my mosaics are my own original compositions.

Three Feather Tile

Three feathers sandblasted into an 13 1/4 x 13 1/4 x 3/8 inch standard grade glazed high fired lightly textured clay tile from Italy. Soft, pale, gray blue glaze.

The look of the sandblasted lines is especially beautiful as daylight moves across the walls of a room and the sandblast depressions become shadowed and more distinct. Simple and striking at the same time.

I transfer my original line drawings to sandblast stencil (a rubbery vinyl with a sticky back), attach the stencil to the surface of a rock or tile, and cut out stencil parts with a sharp stencil knife. During sandblasting, the design is "carved" into the cutouts, and the blast is blocked everywhere else. Sandblasted areas are sealed with grout sealant. My large tiles are upcycled from discarded showroom sample boards.

Sandblasting is dirty work, and sheer misery in the heat and humidity of summer in Northern California, but I just love the gradual appearance of my drawings in the tile or rock surface as the blasting progresses.

Convo me after purchase if you would like hanging hardware attached to back of tile with epoxy adhesive.

Christmas Reindeer Sandblasted Tile

Stylized deer with vine adapted from an antique Indian batik textile pattern is sandblasted into an 12 1/4 x 12 1/4 x 3/8 inch standard grade high fired clay tile from Italy. Soft creamy tan textured glaze with the faintest tinges of pink and gray.

The look of the sandblasted lines is especially beautiful as daylight moves across the walls of a room and the sandblast depressions become shadowed and more distinct. Simple and striking at the same time.

I transfer my original line drawings (in this case, my interpretation of an antique Indian batik textile pattern) to sandblast stencil (a rubbery vinyl with a sticky back), attach the stencil to the surface of a rock or tile, and cut out stencil parts with a sharp stencil knife. During sandblasting, the design is "carved" into the cutouts, and the blast is blocked everywhere else. Sandblasted areas are sealed with grout sealant. My large tiles are upcycled from discarded showroom sample boards.

Sandblasting is dirty work, and sheer misery in the heat and humidity of summer in Northern California, but I just love the gradual appearance of my drawings in the tile or rock surface as the blasting progresses.

Convo me after purchase if you would like hanging hardware attached to back of tile with epoxy adhesive.

Three Leaf Tile

Sunburst Shell Tile

A seashell sandblasted into an 8 x 8 x 1/4 inch standard grade glazed high fired clay tile from Mexico. Soft, sandy tan, cream, sand glaze.

The look of the sandblasted lines is especially beautiful as daylight moves across the walls of a room and the sandblast depressions become shadowed and more distinct. Simple and striking at the same time.

I transfer my original line drawings to sandblast stencil (a rubbery vinyl with a sticky back), attach the stencil to the surface of a rock or tile, and cut out stencil parts with a sharp stencil knife. During sandblasting, the design is "carved" into the cutouts, and the blast is blocked everywhere else. Sandblasted areas are sealed with grout sealant.

Sandblasting is dirty work, and sheer misery in the heat and humidity of summer in Northern California, but I just love the gradual appearance of my drawings in the tile or rock surface as the blasting progresses.

A fresh take on vintage mid-century pottery, this small matte creamy white florist's planter is now something special. I've used antique and vintage fine chinas and semi-vitreous chinas in an overall color scheme of blue, white, and pink with touches of black and tan. Grouted in white, and sealed with grout sealant. Planter is in excellent vintage condition with mild staining to the inside, and moderate staining to the feet. Bottom identification is "Floraline U.S.A.", mold number is present but I can't read it. Maybe 811 or 311. No chips or cracks, but there are a few minor manufacturing flaws typical of this type of pottery. It presents very well, and would look charming on a desk, dresser, or windowsill, perhaps holding some favored photos, ephemera, or your vintage button collection.

3 3/4H x 6 3/8 x 3 3/4 inches exterior.
3 1/4H x 5 7/8 x 3 3/16 interior at top, then tapers smaller towards bottom.

Three Butterfly Tile

Three butterflies sandblasted into an 13 1/4 x 13 1/4 x 3/8 inch standard grade glazed high fired lightly textured clay tile from Italy. Soft, pale, gray blue glaze.

The look of the sandblasted lines is especially beautiful as daylight moves across the walls of a room and the sandblast depressions become shadowed and more distinct. Simple and striking at the same time.

I transfer my original line drawings to sandblast stencil (a rubbery vinyl with a sticky back), attach the stencil to the surface of a rock or tile, and cut out stencil parts with a sharp stencil knife. During sandblasting, the design is "carved" into the cutouts, and the blast is blocked everywhere else. Sandblasted areas are sealed with grout sealant. My large tiles are upcycled from discarded showroom sample boards.

Sandblasting is dirty work, and sheer misery in the heat and humidity of summer in Northern California, but I just love the gradual appearance of my drawings in the tile or rock surface as the blasting progresses.

Vintage stainless steel lazy susan with gallery edge upcycled into holiday table art with Christopher Stuart broken china tile outer rim, a striped field of vintage Fitz and Floyd dark green and taupe, and a ring of solid dark green surrounding a vivid broken china poinsettia focal. All tiles cut from plates. Grouted with soft sage green grout, sealed with grout sealant. Outer bottom of gallery edge embellished with sage ribbon trim (last photo).

I dismantled, cleaned, and oiled the turning pedestal. This piece is vintage, with minor signs of age underneath the tray top and underneath the pedestal base, but it absolutely presents very well. That said, if you want pristine, this item is not for you.

Credit for the licensed images will be given where required by licensor. All papers and inks are acid free and archival quality (except for vintage papers). Adhesives and paints are water based.

Metal lace edge antiqued white painted charger tray with a gorgeous vintage German broken fine china center surrounded by white and black stained glass, and vintage German broken fine china plate rim in pale pink with gold filigree. Design from Ann's MixNMatch Mosaics.

Lush floral of pink rose, purple tulip, daisies, and marigolds. Grouted with white grout, and sealed with grout sealant. Grout is softly tapered between stained glass and plate tiles. Furniture protector pads on bottom of tray for your convenience. Perfect to hang on wall or decorate table top. Weave ribbon through the lace cutouts to dress it up! Decorative only; please use a liner or plate for food items.

Tray 12 1/2 inches in diameter, 3/8 inch high.
Mosaic area 8 1/2 inches in diameter.

Though I cut and/or trim most of my mosaic tiles, I also support my fellow mosaic artists and suppliers by purchasing their tiles and tile sets to incorporate into my designs. Unless noted otherwise, all of my mosaics are my own original compositions.
