Orange and white hourglass lap quilt made with 32 different orange fabrics. All fabrics are newer, quality quilting cottons, from designers such as Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry and American Jane. Quilt backing is from Amy Butler's Midwest Modern line. Batting is Warm & White Cotton Batting. Binding is Full Moon Dot by Amy Butler.

This quilt is the perfect size to snuggle under while relaxing on the couch with a good book, or your remote! Also the ideal size for a toddler's bed or playmat. Are you a photographer? This would be a perfect backdrop for photos of babies to older children. Orange is such a versatile color!

Quilt measures approximately 40" x 50". This quilt has not yet been washed and dried and will gain an even crinklier look and feel after its first wash. In my experience, this quilt will shrink about 2-3". For it's first wash, wash in cold water on a gentle cycle (front loader machine preferred - borrow someones if you have to) and dry on a medium to low setting. Please let me know if you would like for me to wash it before shipping.

I am meticulous in my sewing and press every step of the way. I personally quilt all of my quilts on a long arm in my home. Each quilt has a signature piecing to it, and if you look closely at the photos I'm sure you'll see what this one is. Beautiful lap quilt, made out of Urban Chick's "Swell" line. The coloring is so soft and feminine and really lovely to look at. Not only will it keep you warm, but it will brighten up your home. Fun polka dot border. Patchwork backing. Washed and crinkly, giving it that finishing touch.

Machine sewn and quilted. Quilting is swirls throughout. 100% cotton batting. Kona cotton used on sashing. Machine washed in free & clear detergent.

Dimensions: 47" x 44"

Label on back reads: "Disappearing 9 Patch Pieced & Quilted by [me] 2008." It ran on itself during the wash, but not on the quilt. Could be easily removed.
